The blades of vengeances have fallen swiftly. The shinobi are no more as 'Absolute Justice' has returned...now, it is the Samurai that rule the Five Major Nations!
But at what cost? Have they become the very thing that they despised the most...? Heroes and villains seem to change roles every day, but one thing is for certain - we yearn for our freedom, for days gone by where we flew the skies unhindered.
The trip was a silent one, no words exchange between herself and the Chuunin, she didn't even know his name, but such trivial matters didn't deter her. Taki had stayed behind as ordered, so it was just herself and the man.
Only problem she had with him was the fact he called her loli on two occasions, which was enough to make her bite her lip several times over, but she didn't speak out against it, for two reasons; respect and that he was her superior.
It didn't take long for them to travel past the heavy mist that settled around the village and head into forest. The elapse of time that had past was fast as her body flickered through the tree tops. Reaching the edge of the great forest, Masumi hopped down using her arm she landed with a low thud upon the earth.
Masumi said scanning the perimeter, hands in her pockets...
Minori was quite the chatter box on most occasions but today begged to differ. Something was just different he’d suppose. The war of all wars had ended. A zombie horde had stormed their city – and yet things went about as if normal. This consistency despite all that had happened was rather… unnerving he’d suppose.
He’d snap back to reality however upon voice from his companion. For some reason she’d grind to a halt at the edge of the forest. What on earth was she waiting for? Without pause he’d continue on to the coast – after all, it was the rendezvous point. Then again… perhaps if he’d spoken more she’d of known that.
Quickly calling back, his pace still unbroken, he’d urge her to hurry.
OOC: I was never told of the placed we'd meet them at nor was it in the mission detail. Now I look stupid.... XD
Masumi watched as the man passed her, than calling out to her. Flustered Masumi bit her lip. 'I must look like an idiot now....I thought this was the meeting place....' She pushed her thoughts aside and began sprinting after her Chuunin. Their goal was the shorelines.
Windswept hair danced behind her as she caught up, matching her own speed with his. "I apologize. I thought that was the rendezvous point." He had been silent the entire time, maybe distance wasn't good for a time like this, so she'd try to get a few extra words out of him.
She said, her head turned his way. Hopefully by giving him her name he would get the implied message that she wished to know his. Even if he didn't like her, distance is what made most teams die on the battlefield.
His eyes glanced back at the girl rather skeptically for a moment or two. It was then that he’d sneak a smile, his lips spreading into a grin that sprawled across his face as a quiet chuckle echoed from his voice. He’d reply in kind given a moment or two. Despite his current temperament it never hurt for civility – right?...
“Yeah, I know. I’m Minori by the way. Pleased to --”
His words were cut off as he’d make a duck, quickly avoiding a rather large tree branch he hadn’t noticed prior to glancing back. A sigh of relief passed from between his lips as he avoided the near caustic bludgeoning. He’d resume his former train of thought.
Masumi couldn't help but allow a smile to slowly curl her soft lips as she watched him barely duck a tree trunk. Of course Masumi had already seen it and instead vaulted over it.
Giggling as she landed, her legs sprang back an forth. Finally through his sullen visage and demeanor seemed to dwell a person, this fact eased her worries as she once more matched her own tempo to his.
The shoreline was practically close now, and it wouldn't be long till they met their destination. "So If I may ask Minori`senpai did you find that Taki chick annoying?" Masumi wasn't too fond of the girl and from Minori ordering her to stay behind she felt her own sentiments were matched.
"So If I may ask Minori`senpai did you find that Taki chick annoying?"
Eh? What was this? The question loli posed was rather spot the on. It'd make him chuckle a bit inside - perhaps she felt the same? Of course he couldn’t admit that – not professionally at least. Instead he’d slow his speed slightly, falling back to her position so that they’d see eye to eye. A rather wicked smirk crossed upon his face as he’d leer over at her deviously.
“Hmm? ‘Course not. Someone’s gotta wait at the gate in case we don’t come back – right? That’s the story I’m sticking to at least!”
Masumi watched as he fell back matching his running speed with her owns. He beated around the bush with his answer, but Masumi could understand the implied meaning laced within his words and his deceptive smile. Already she could tell she was going to like Minori`senpai.
The rest of the trip was entertained with mundane conversation between the two. Some time passed as Masumi leap over a small ridge, sliding down the vertical surface her feet meet the sand of the shore. Masumi watched the rolling waves of the ocean brush against the shore, the sky above a myriad of glowing hues because of it being midday.
"Were here, this time for real!"
Masumi grinned as she looked around, scanning the perimeter.
His eyes would shift curiously towards the shorelines as she’d bring to his attention their arrival. Feet planted softly against the dry sand, a gentle cloud puffed from his landing as ocean winds danced it away. The thick scent of saline spray wafted up his nose as he’d wrinkle it slightly with a time honored pleasure. Regardless of how long he’d been away from these parts of the country the shorelines never failed to evoke a rather nostalgic sense within him.
Inhaling twice more rather deeply, he’d yawn rather leisurely before casually plopping himself upon the sand.
“Damned Konoha nin. It seems like they’re late – even if we’re a bit early… Looks like you’re off the hook till they show loli."
His hand would sway gently, shooing the girl away as he’d remain motionless - his eyes fixated upon the horizon.
She'd bite her lip as he called her loli again, when would she graduate to her real name? She dismissed the thought as she propped herself up on a large boulder that was pressed into the sand, her eyes glued staring out into the expanse of the ocean.
"I wonder how much longer we'll be waiting?"
She said sighing as she stretched her arms above her body, a yawn escaping her. Hopefully they'd arrive soon Masumi thought sitting there weighing her own troubles and that of her village on her mind.
Unless the pair of Kiri-natives were any sort've trackers, they wouldn't have even seen Ao's arrival. What's more, as far as sound goes, a gentle gust of wind one could've easily mistaken for a common breeze was the only tell-tale hint. He simply appeared in the most mundane of ways, the cargo hanging consciously, though lazily, over his shoulder.
He'd carried her the entire way, from Konoha to Kirigakure, and didn't show a single sign of fatigue.
"I apologize for being late." The others would've been right behind him, no doubt, arriving before he'd even finished his sentence. "It was somewhat difficult to navigate in this fog."
Ao would've rolled Aiko from his shoulder and onto her feet, facing the pair ready to recieve her. The small seven feet between them would've easily been covered in a matter of seconds, and once she was in their hands, the trio of Konoha shinobi could leave.
Just as Ao appeared, so too did I, standing behind Ao, to his right hand side, about a meter back. My eyes would never leave those who had appeared to take home this woman Aiko. I didn't trust those of Kirigakure to pass this situation without a fight, but if such was what they wanted, I would be prepared. Either way, as Ao passed over Aiko, I remained vigilant, but until something else happened, this was over.

Aiko gave a sharp look at Ao, a bit agitated that he had been so rude to her. All she had asked for was a small form of sustenance to appease her. Shaking her head, she returned her attention to the shinobi of Kiri, her homeland. All of that was behind them now, leaving only room for the future. Soon, she would be taken back to the Village Hidden in the Mist. If Hana were still there she would be able to tell her that she had failed. Walking forward, Aiko made her way towards the shinobi of the Mist. Having neglected to bind her ankles, the Leaf Ninja had made it easy for the young woman to walk... or escape. Luckily, the young Yukina woman had no intentions of attempting any form of running. The only thing she wanted was to be fed.

He’d follow his teammates and eventually position himself right by AO’s left hand side, about a meter behind to be exact — systematically matching the amount of space initiated by his other partner. He'd remain alerted; his eyes fixed towards their trading counterparts, readied and prepared for a potential battle… should it happen. Whatever action or course of event was to follow, he was ready to face it. Despite his readiness, he doubted that those of Kumo would be bold enough to initiate an unnecessary conflict—since such an act would completely change the balance between kirigakure and konoha. Nevertheless, his self-awareness had risen at the mere thought, giving his mind more reasons to evaluate their current position and surrounding, as AO passed over Akiko.

The shinobi’s eyes gave a rather skeptical look as they fell upon the man before him. It was just pleasantries – nothing more and nothing less. As if some foreigner would give a damn about his leader. Hell, he didn’t even give rat’s ass about the new guy – why would anyone else? His lips cracked into a rather broad grin as he’d return the favor, a somewhat quiet laugh of disbelief spewing forth beforehand.
It was then that he’d signal to loli. A rather sharp whistle would sound from his lips as he’d tilt his head towards the captive, a clear indication that she’d be on watch duty. Eyes sweeping his view, he’d take a closer look at the other two nin accompanying the delivery. They didn’t seem like anything special for the most part – well one of them at least.
Attention loosely tied to the girl, he’d lick his lips once over, tossing out a tease or two.
“Hey baby, what color panties ya wearing? Since when did Konoha start hiring escorts?”
Ok – so she was a bit young – roughly the same age as the genin accompanying him if he had to guess. Perhaps things weren’t as they appeared...
With the sound of a faint wind came the first of the Shinobi's, in his hands the package-the runaway Kirigakure kunoichi. His back up soon followed behind not a second later as he landed. Masumi's eyes quickly scanned over them, she was prepared to make of move if one of them even flinched wrong.
However she made sure to keep cool, and appear as if she was relaxed. Masumi quickly reacted to her leaders whistle taking her place beside the young woman, she wouldn't be getting away, not with Masumi's trained eyes upon her.
Nodding she at the leaf ninja's words she faced Minori with a sigh at his playful antics. He couldn't save it for later? She thought as spoke to the girl.
"Don't mind him...."
Her voice was dull, barely emanating any feeling whatsoever.
"We'll be on our way now, thank you for your cooperation..."
She said to the leaf ninja before looking at Minori awaiting the signal to move out. Since she was stuck with guard duty she'd stick to the rear end so that she could watch the woman close up.
