description; Blood and meat, that’s all you are to the five 200 lb Dire Wolves were bringing in to tear you too shreds. Peak instincts, razor sharp teeth and claws as well as wicked speed should be more then enough to ravage the ordinary ninja. Add in their exceptional ability to coordinate attacks and you have a real threat on your hands.

It was going to be her first mission in a very long time. In fact, she almost couldn't remember when the last time was. Most likely when she was still a child, before she went on long, extended hiatus from the life of a shinobi. However, after years of practicing and training herself she had finally been able to be re-enlisted as a Kirigakure no Sato kunoichi. As her first mission though the thought was a bit atrocious.

Five wolves? Most likely specially bred for the purpose to kill.

Idly she went over ways to combat the pack of wolves but realistically there was no way that she would survive something like this with her skill alone. As defensive as she was, her offensive wouldn't be good enough. However that's why she had been thankful that they had assigned a second person to do this mission alongside of her. From little rumors that she had heard, he was a relative of the Mizukage; Akira Kushinada.

His name, however, was Chae-Yoon. The name sounded briefly familiar, as though she had heard something special about that man recently but she couldn't quite place her finger on it. Regardless she ran a hand through her long, onyx colored hair and then twirled some of the strands around her index finger while she waited patiently for her partner. She didn't want the wolves released on her without him around.

That would be a wonderful sight to behold. He arrives for the mission and there are the five wolves biting and ripping her to shreds in one big bloody mess. Hopefully it wouldn't be a shock that the village was sometimes referenced as the 'Bloody Mist Village." Quite frankly, the reason was quite obvious. Shizue, however, hoped to be the one causing the bloodshed, not vice versa.

[Chae]

To Chae, another mission meant another payment, which ultimately meant that he could afford more sake and any other alcoholic beverage that he had been in the mood for. Similar to the instance where he and Arashi set out to hunt down and eliminate a ravenous bear that terrorized Mizu no Kuni's countryside, Chae had been partnered up with someone outside of his official team.

While he didn't mind, he never liked for his curiosity to get the better of him, but unfortunately, it managed to triumph in that particular situation. While wondering who his mysterious partner would be, he walked and took large, seemingly inhuman swigs of sake from his miniature gourd. Hair wrapped in a pony tail and completely shirtless aside from the shoulder & arm pads that encircled his left arm, he finally arrived at the designated rendezvous point.

"Well, well, well, what do we got here."

Once spoken, he whistled flirtatiously at the kunoichi who he -at that point- assumed to be his partner for the mission at hand. If he hadn't known any better, he swore that it'd been his luckiest day by far. Looking her up and down, he coudln't help but notice the goddess-like set of legs that were attached to her body. Nearly watering at the mouth like an overly excited dog, he took yet another swig of his sake before he attempted to 'play it cool'.

"Please tell me our mission today is to have a nice long picnic under the sun, if it isn't I think I'm going to be a sad, drunk little pup."

[--Shizue--]

The gruffness of a man's voice broke her train of thought and upon turning to face the man she would smile towards him. He looked the part of a shinobi, or perhaps a wandering samurai with his shirtless appearance and shoulder guard. However the reek of alcohol was quite obvious, at least to her anyways. Men who drank themselves into a stupor were always unattractive to her, despite what the man's physical appearance was.

Sighing she watched as he basically looked her up and down, inspecting her. When he addressed her, she shook her head and chuckled a little to herself. A picnic under the sun? What did he think that this was? Shizue almost felt like a piece of meat. However she quickly shoved the feeling to the side and closed the distance between the two of them.

"Sorry, pup. I am here to kill a pack of wolves." She started, holding out a hand for the large male to grasp and shake if he felt so inclined. "Not have a picnic."

Despite her beauty and her choice of clothing her shinobi status was quite evident by Kiri head band worn on a sash that hung at her waist over her dress. Also a sheathed sword hung at her side whilst a pouch was wrapped around her upper thigh, most likely containing smaller weaponry and items. In looks alone she embodied what the kunoichi was supposed to be in full.

Beautiful. Prepared. Deadly.

Though she knew her limit in that she wouldn't be able to take out all five wolves of the pack alone she was indeed confident enough that she would be able to take down at least two or three on her own. She had every intention of showing off what she had been practicing over the years to the first shinobi she had contact with out on the field in a while.

"My name is Shizue. Do hope we can work together well."

[Chae]

A single brow raised up above the other as she stepped forward unexpectedly. He grinned widely as she held out her hand that -instead of shaking- Chae grabbed and kissed gently. Slowly letting her hand go, his eyes eased up and met with her own, doing nothing but gauging her reaction. Having given her enough time to react and speak, he opted to respond to her introduction respectfully - surprisingly.

"Kushinada, Chae-Yoon, the pleasure to meet you is all mine, and his"

As he spoke tandem with walking past Shizu and headed down the road ahead, a playfully, menacing grin sprawled across his face from ear to ear. By that time, his brain finally processed that their mission expected them to track, locate, and eliminate a group of ravenous wolves that carelessly terrorized the countryside of Mizu no Kuni, a crime that Chae couldn't just turn a blind eye to. Although Chae easily came off as unusually playful and lazy, he still held Mizu no Kuni and everything the country entailed in high-esteem as well as caring deeply for its well-being.

Knowing that the wolves were disrupting the peace that surrounded the nation, they needed to be handled with extreme measures.

"These wolves, I'm going to single handedly eliminate each and every one of them. They'll be used as an example for any other animal dumb enough to test Kirigakure's power."

Suddenly his attitude changed, growing increasingly serious. Just like the mountain bear, Chae refused to tolerate its destructive activities.

[--Shizue--]

First impressions were everything. At the moment Chae seemed to be the type to try any beneficial situation and exploit that if it meant sharing the bed with a beautiful woman. Though she was never one to boast, Shizue wasn't blind either. She knew she was attractive. Though she knew the kiss to her hand was just another ploy, she would still be cordial. A smile was given, until his little remark.

"Well I'd rather not meet him, so I suggest you keep him hidden from me."

Shaking her head she would follow after the muscular Kushinada man. The pack of wolves were sighted in the countryside in the direction that they were going. Lately there had been so many reports of various wild animals attacking those from small villages all around Mizu no Kuni. It was a tad disheartening really that such beasts were roaming around without much animal control up until now.

However as they walked it seemed Chae got more and more serious. Up until the point he claimed that all five of the wolves would fall to his hands alone. Blinking at that, she scoffed. Not that she didn't doubt him or anything since she didn't know just what he was capable of, she still didn't like the sound of it. After all, if he did that then what was the point of even assigning her this mission with him.

"Chae. I'd rather you not take them all out single handedly. I'm also here as well. We're a team. I want to kill at least one of them."

It was a fair request. Besides, if he thought that him flexing like this would impress her into doing the things that he was obviously used to women doing for him he was sadly mistaken. Maybe if he was serious all the time it would be different. But is usual jokester self and dirty mouth wasn't exactly the most attractive. Despite his physical appearance anyways.

[Chae]

"You? Me? A team? Honestly, I'd rather it be a 'couple' more than anything. Besides, I already have an official team. "

Speaking playfully as he ventured further down the the road, he continued to take large swigs of his sake until its contents were no more. Unraveling the scroll itself and reading over its directions to the last known location, his desire to slay the wolves grew substantially, enough so that he wanted to use the speed of his new technique to reduced the time it took to search for the pack, however, he opted to respect the woman's wishes. Huffing a sigh followed by incomprehensible grumbling he looked back at Shizue and decided to exchange pleasantries as shinobi of Kirigakure.

"So, what is it that you can do exactly? Usually when they pair two people up they cover the others weaknesses in some ways. Plus its just hard for me if I dunno what you can do, don't want you gettin' me killed, not saying you will tho."

[--Shizue--]

"I'm sure you would," she started, though it was more so mumbled than anything. The man was quite likely to be the biggest lech she had ever come across. Also, the most drunkard of a shinobi as well. How he had ever been successful was beyond her and really it wasn't any of her business either. "And I meant a team for this particular mission, Chae, nothing more, nothing less."

Shizue let Chae handle the map and determine where they were, how far it would take, and all of the directions when it came to getting to where the last siting of the wolves were at. It wasn't that she minded that, just allowed him to do something else than ogle her. Though, in the back of her mind it was a little bit refreshing to know that she was getting a little bit of attention.

When he addressed her, she almost wanted to cringe as he began to speak. Thankfully what she was expecting to be something derogatory came out as something of relevance. It would be better for them to know each others strength and weaknesses now rather than later in the heat of combat. Well, in the heat of running and swatting down a pack of rabid wolves.

"I specialize in defense, entrapment, and espionage. Most of which is done through Suiton. I also am decently trained in defensive sword arts. Over all I tend to stay mid to long range, however."

Though she could handle a short ranged fight if necessary, she hadn't trained herself quite yet to be completely well off. Hopefully Chae, as he seemed to be, was more of a close range fighter in which she could support from the back. Or at least use him as a distraction so that she could strike from further away. As long as he stuck by his sword and didn't allude to anything on his body relative to a sword, she wouldn't have to hurt him.

[Chae]

Truth be told, Chae could tell that Shizue hadn't been like any of the other fast women within Kirigakure that he familiarized himself with extensively. Shizue seemed different, sophisticated and stern, not easily swayed by by smooth talking drunkards. With his mentality, Chae viewed it as a challenge - he'd win Shizue over, he refused to be rejected. Grinning confidently as she motioned towards her specialization which turned out to be three specific area's opposite of Chae - perfect. Espionage would've proven to be her most powerful asset, at least when in the presence of Chae. Defense -to Chae- would've been secondary, considering that his uncontested offense could easily have been made into a good defense. Nevertheless, he was pleased with her as a partner, thus far.

"Espionage and defensive Suiton eh, guess the higher ups actually know how to pick'em too haha! Well, as for me, I specialize in Raiton, that's it."

Shinobi generally held the desire to branch away from certain area's of interest in terms of jutsu to 'well round' themselves, but Chae had another thing in mind, he wanted one thing and one thing only. Lightning. He loved everything about it, especially its speed. While seemingly not much on paper, in combat, it easily made him one of the more powerful ninja that hailed from Kirigakure.

Suddenly, a scream billowed from within Mizu no Kuni's forestry north-east his position, one that beseemed a small girl in danger. Looking towards Shizue and nodding to signal their readiness, Chae deviated from the road and bolted forward into the woodlands, converging upon the area as he sifted through columns of trees.

"I think we may have just found our targets. Get ready! "

[--Shizue--]

It was odd to hear that a samurai looking man like Chae had only one real specialization. However, Raiton was indeed a good one. It had many uses whether it be offensive, defensive, supplementary, and even as buffers for other elemental techniques. Other than Suiton, Shizue couldn't help but think that Raiton was most likely one of the most malleable releases within the shinobi world. The fact that they were partnered must be a reflection of that.

This side of Chae she didn't mind. When the lech part of his psyche retreated and his professional side took control, it was like music to her ears. Nothing worse than a partner who slacks and can't keep his thoughts in order. Men who think with the wrong head are never useful. At least out on missions anyways. However that's when the silence around them was broken by a scream that was reminiscent of a small girl. Immediately the color in her face drained.

A child was involved?

"It looks that way!" She would say a few moments later, after Chae had addressed the situation and took off towards the north east. Though not as fast as him, with the two of them simply running normal she wasn't too far behind him. In fact, if she would to push herself she could probably reach out and just barely trace her fingertips along his back. It seemed her training over the years paid off. Even in stiletto like heels she was succeeding---so far.

It didn't take them long to reach the general area where he pack of five wolves were located. In the distance there indeed was a little girl running. Three wolves were chasing her while the other two were farther back, stopped, as if ripping something to shreds. Right away Shizue couldn't help but feel as though it was one of the child's parents.

Glaring, Shizue broke away from Chae as quickly as she could while reaching back to grip the hilt of her sword with one hand. Once she was close, her other hand reached back to grip the sheath as well. Her plan was to cut into the path of the little girl and the wolves; and that's just what she did. Leaning forward while stretching her strides to be much longer, her poise was almost too elegant while she slipped passed the girl while metal glinted in what bits of sun pierced the canopy over head. Blood sprayed into the air as her sword sliced through the wolf at the front of the pack before it quickly retreated back into its sheath.

Down the beast fell, convulsing and howling while the other two had skidded and broke to the left and then to the right. They were going to try and flank her. With her hands free, they came together to form hand seals while she darted forward, towards the area where the other two had been feasting on whatever downed prey. This would not only allow them to corral them together, but also allow Chae to perhaps create a Chain Lightning effect between the beasts.

Regardless, Shizue wanted to end this quickly. That poor little girl didn't deserve to be witness to any more gore and bloodshed.

Don't worry little one, you will live!

[Chae]

Arriving on the scene with Shizue hot on his own heels, Chae immediately noticed the five wolves that chased after the girl while the other two blatantly helped themselves to a quick meal. Keeping an eye on Shizue as she separated herself to intercept and confront the three initial woulds that ravenously chased the young girl, he opted to handle with the other to, which, he knew wouldn't have taken long at all. In tandem with curving to converge upon their, his hands formed a single seal, generating a coating of raiton chakra that cloaked and encircled the entirety of his right hand. Moving in on their righter most flank, he whistled to get their attention, letting them know what a full grown sack of meat would've been their dessert.

"C'mon, have at a full course meal, all you can eat."

Knowing that they were unable to understand, he taunted and provoked the two wolves, gaining their attention and baiting them into attacking. Aligning themselves one behind the other, the closest wolf leapt up and forward towards Chae while the latter merely continued from below. For wild animal's Chae, admittedly, had been quite impressed with their team work, however, it hadn't been enough. Lunging his hand forward, a wide stream of lightning shot across the ground and around Chae himself, shocking both wolves long enough to the point where they fell into cardiac arrest.

Dispatching those two, he looked towards Shizue, observing her direction of likely travel as she played cat and mouse with the remaining two. Chidori still live, he waited for the right moment to attack and once he saw it, his charged hand extended into a spear at blinding speeds, piercing through one of the two remaining wolves head.

"Just one left"

[--Shizue--]

Shizue hadn't the time to pay attention to the endeavors of Chae. However she was quite confident that he would succeed in taking out two wolves. After all, he was more experienced than she was. More level headed? Most likely not, but experienced, he certainly was. She had her own problems to deal with. Since her slaying of one of the wolves, the other two now followed her. They weaved in and out trying to converge in on her.

It was astounding really as to how well the wolves worked as a team. The surprising thing was, it was quite efficient and very well played out. That's how a unit should always work. Pushing such thoughts to the side for now, she continued to hold the seal she had formed previously while almost expertly dodging the blows that the wolves tried to deliver.

The plan she had would easily be effective if she could simply get one wolf to break pattern, even for the slightest of moments. However their teamwork seemed almost too impeccable. It was then that the roar of lightning echoed in quick passing as a spear of pure Raiton pierced through one of the wolves skulls. Immediately she had an idea that would utilize her technique to fullest in tandem with Chae's own rather impressive display.

From her mouth she expelled two rather large bubbles that were just about touching. As the one wolf got shocked from the spear through his skull, the bubbles converged on his head. One bubble in particular encircled the appendage conducting the electricity and passing it onto the second bubble that it was just barely touching. In just those few precious moments, Shizue left herself obviously open to the last wolf remaining.

Luckily, he took the bait, and in a rage at seeing a pack mate killed, it lunged straight towards her. However that second bubble now broke away, a string of an electrically charged current connecting the bubble on the first wolves head to the one that moved in front of Shizue. Mid lunge the bubble wrapped itself around the head of the wolf and a gargled yelp, as well as a 'bzzzzt' sound followed before the thud of its body hit the forest floor.

Dead.

Smirking, she looked over to Chae nodded her head as if to say good work. "Alright, now to find that little girl. It'd be best to bring her back to the village." With that said she began walking, the click of her stilettos only audible on what few hard dirt surfaces there were. Thankfully though the girl was found in no time at all in which Shizue gathered her into her arms and hugged her close. "Time to go to Kirigakure no Sato, little one."

"B-But, where's Mommy?! She was right behind me and then those other wolves came and, and..."

Shizue shushed the little girl and pat her hand through the girl's hair then down to her back where she just rubbed while humming a soft tune. Again she would look back towards Chae with a knowing look. It was obvious who the body the other two wolves were feeding from belonged to. However she wasn't going to say anything, not here. It would just have to wait until they returned to the village.

"Come Chae, I think I hear a bowl of ice cream and a tall glass of chocolate milk calling this one's name."

Demeanor now different than before, Shizue continued to pat the girl's back whilst heading back out of the woods and towards the path that they had previously been on. It would take a good minute to return to the village, but that was their destination none the less. Mission complete.

[Chae]

She handled herself well - Shizue. In fact, she impressed Chae with her on the spot teamwork and tenacity when it came down to protecting the girl and dispatching all possible hostile targets. Ending the last and final wolf with an unpalatable crackling sound, her attention eased over to Chae as she nodded to acknowledge the fruits of their effort. Returning the favor, he heeded her words and followed her towards the little girl, who, at that time, had been safe and sound. The girl asked for the whereabouts of her mother, and knowing that body the wolves feasted upon turned out to be her mother, he had no words to tell the little girl.

Nodding to acknowledge Shizue's request, he trailed behind the two, looking for any and all possible dangers that could've intercepted them.
