Ah, the slums of Kirigakure no Sato. The place had a disgusting dirty class to it despite it's reputation, or at least to Takumi it seemed to have some significance in this matter. The shinobi respected the poor souls who lived down here whether they had chosen this path or not, though it was most likely that no one in the slums truly wanted to be there. It didn't matter though, the people were tough dirty and more than ready to do whatever was needed to survive in this place, even when it meant crimes such as murder and robbery. Any option was better than losing in the high stakes game of life that was played out in this forgotten corner of the village. He actually felt like a hypocrite for having accepted this mission, after all he envied the resolve these people had and now he had become an obstacle in their way. Still it would be a strong test to see if his own resolve, determination, and strength was more than their own. A direct contest of his exercising his will upon those with the balls to stand up to him and strike back.
He made his way down the road with long strides as he forced his way through the crowds of filthy beggars and citizens keeping a keen eye out for any mishaps among the struggling bickering people. The people were talking loudly in a competition to be louder than the others to make their points to the people only standing beside them. They cussed, swore and fought, but small break out fights between two more than willing brawlers wasn't something that struck Takumi as a punishable crime and even if it had he would have needed some sort of special ops team to deal with all of them at once. After all fights were breaking out all over the district for no more reason than some had bumped into the other while breathing rancid breath in their face. Inexcusable offenses to these frustrated people, but taking their aggressions out on one another was there way of coping and who was Takumi to judge them for that? He had his own questionable release which reminded him now wouldn't be too bad of a time to indulge in that guilty pleasure.
His head turned all about glancing up and down the streets now reading for signs rather than the actions of the people. Surely he would be able to find alcohol here of all places within the village. A little drink would help sooth his nerves and make it easier for him to detach from these people in the more than probable chance that things would get out of hand. After a few moments of looking about he simply snatched the bottle from one of the drifting people while they weren't looking and took a swig. He was here to prevent crime and yet here he was committing it, no real surprise there to anyone at all. Not even the man blinked as Takumi drank down the volatile toxin greedily.
