Unlikely Bond [Social Thread]

The night sky showered lights shooting past and swirling around. The sky illuminated by the moon's blood red presence. The clear skies with out a blemish to be found allowed it's allure to go untouched. These were the rare favorite nights that Agito decided to take a stroll around Mizu no Kuni. The blood within the moon allowed him the freedom to lose his false moniker, this night he was truly himself to the world. His clothes were more casual then his usual on alert shinobi clothes.

He decided to have a regular shirt with jeans, his choker was still around his neck. His sash was no longer wrapped around his chest but now on his waist. The sash had been wide and looked to be that of half a skirt, his shorts jutted through with the left leg being longer then the rights. When calm and casual he allows his hair to come down across his face causing his left eye to disappear behind the strands. His effeminate features seemed to radiate within the blood soaked moon. His piercing yellow eyes had found itself upon that of a wounded bird being devoured by insects.

There was nothing that could be done seeing as they had burrowed a hole into it's interior and were killing it's body from the inside out. The eyes of the blue jay like bird dulled into no existence. A sad, and dark sight only reinforcing the carnivorous nature of the circle of life. The sounds of leaves crunching welcomed his ears as he keeled down beside the miracle of life.

" I am a shinobi so I can sense that you are there. Now show yourself or I'll carve your body in half. "

"Agito, have you ever considered the possibility that your mouth may bite off more than you can chew someday?"

Takumi was laying on his back along a branch a few meters behind Agito, one arm dangling down clutching a brown bag with the open top of a bottle protruding from it. The Aburame ninja did so enjoy eavesdropping and stalking people, but tonight he was just out to deal with stress the only way he really found that worked. His bottle had already been half empty when Agito had happened by. Normally Takumi would've been much more quiet and respectful to a fellow kirigakure shinobi. He was now drunk now though so Agito was thought of as just another coworker.

The bottle slipped from his grip falling towards the earth before being caught by a swarm of kikai that rushed down through the air from Takumi's wrist. Takumi sighed regrettably at the mistake before simply rolling off the branch and landing in a perfectly still crouched position for a second before teetering back onto his ass. The kikai swarm carried the bottle gently over to Takumi he smiled broadly at them thanking them. Snatching the bottle away from the kikai cloud he took a heavy drink from the bottle before setting it down on the ground beside him.

"Ahhhhhhhhhh... fuck yeah."

" I doubt it, There seems to be no one with the spirit or power to surpass me in the rank of genin. Yet, those with higher values I doubt even I could touch. "

His voice trailing off into the distance, his thoughts were upon the facts of life. That people were valued for many things and position was one of the higher priorities. The darkness within even his heart could be quailed once a position is gained. His hands, spread apart and whipped back some hair from out of his face. The movement slow and tedious almost to create the perfect part within his hair. His eyes left the sight of death and moved on to the alcoholic genin. It must have been a great dishonor to not even care about there life.

"Are you truly free? When you take in that liquid does it really make you feel that fucking good? That's just pitiful. . . . "

[The Dude]

"Yeah it does. You see, I work earn money and then purchase my drink. You could say I deserve it. But I must be wrong, right? I mean condescending ass holes like you are always right and everyone else therefore must be wrong."

Takumi put a cork back in the top of the bottle forcefully before standing up leaning back against the tree he was just in. Facing the other ninja his eyes gleamed with delight and intoxication, his breath heavy with the scent of alcohol. He pointed a wiggling finger at Agito disapprovingly before he began ranting again.

"So yes. Just like you, I have my own ways of making myself happy. I tend to drink heavily until I don't care anymore. Actually I would say I'm driven to drink heavily by... well assholes like you actually! You see, I put up with the ninja in the village day in and day out, some are alright but must are just like you. Spoiled little shits, who whine and complain and think everything is beneath them. I deal with you people all the time, day in and day out without saying a word against you. At the end of the day my way of venting the heat from dealing with thick headed warmongers like yourself is I pop open a bottle."

Takumi's hand lowered and he looked down at the ground quietly thinking about it. He really did hate many of the ninja in this village for that very reason he just never heard himself voice the opinion. It was a strange thing to experience, hearing yourself speak your mind for the first time. The revelations of what he said were so sad and depressing he felt he could almost cry... but he didn't. He glared back across at Agito before ending his speech.

"Come to think of it I'm just wasting my time telling you this aren't I? I mean, you probably don't care why I drink at all. You've already snapped into your condescending spoiled attitude after all, why should I expect anything different from you than what you've already showed me."

" Heh, You think I'm a snob? Haha, those assumptions would usually make me wanna bash your skull in for being so fucking retarded. These reasons why I'm the person i am have nothing to do with thinking I'm of a higher class. From those very askew few little assumptions you don't realize I don't have anyone to be snobbish for. I have no parents to look up too. I want and have secured my rank through my own means! So when little fucks like you who can't handle the raw talent that is before you crack under the pressure that's your fault!!! "

This wasn't what he had wanted to discuss at all. His anger mounted from all of the accusations before him. It had made his eyes sting with sadness to still be comparable to those who he considered valueless tools. His dream was to distinguish himself by being as dark and hardhearted as he could be but it wasn't working. Yet, even that realization didn't shatter his ego at all. His mind tried to reassure him of his doubts s if filling cracks within his psyche would make him feel better. He bit his lip in anger before trying to realize the words he would say. His eyes still beamed at the drunkard ninja before his voice calmed and began again.

" What do you expect of ninja? We are tools used by our village to kill and murder maybe even friends or family if the mission so dictates. This facade of self worth and power is all we have if taken away we would become as weak as you are! "

Takumi listened patiently from his slouch against the tree nodding along at certain points in agreement. Perhaps Takumi was just drunk but he could have sworn Agito was making several strong points on his side of the argument. The kid wasn't just another hothead like all the other ninja... well he was, but he had a lot more thinking before his raging. After a moment of silence Takumi answered in an even depressed tone.

"I'm not questioning whether you deserve to be where you are. I was only questioning whether you deserve to talk that way is all. I mean even in the grand scheme we're still only genin, sad truth is we're still small fish in the ocean and we still have a lot of growing to do. I'm sure it won't take you that long, I'm well aware of your achievements after all."

"Also, you have a good point about how you would fare if someone took the facade away wear but that would require someone to take it from you. No one can take the facade away from you, it's something you have to relinquish. When you've matured enough to give up the facade you will be able to see the world with unbiased eyes. Some do, and their perfectly content with how their lives go day in and day out. Others that do this are driven to stress and depression, in my case I go to the bottle. Every once in a while though someone does it and they can't stand what they see... so much so that they-"

Takumi mimed a man hanging by his neck to finish the sentence. After finishing his extremely accurate portrayal of a hanging man he slouched back against the tree. Popping the cork from his bottle once more taking another drink thinking about what he had said and sinking lower against the tree. He needed to get his mind off of these thoughts quick.

"So why are you so bent on getting strong anyway? Are you just in the military for your own advancement and promotion or do you have loftier goals?"

" Tch, why am I acting all buddy buddy with you. I don't have to tell you a fucking thing about my past other then the shit I already said. Life is all about values and at the moment I am of little value......I want to be the most valuable person in all of the lands! That's my fucking goal you Curr. "

Agito no longer felt he needed to sit and explain himself. His body rose showing off his lissom features. His slender fingers pointed towards nothing in particular as the darkness within his yellow optics grew. His hair covered, his right eye when he spun around shaking his hair from it's sitting position back over his face. There was a look of anguish almost within his eyes as he showed his left. His hands, once again dropped to his sides, his body sauntering back walking past the drunkard almost ignoring him completely. The allure of the moon was too much for his mortal body to take at once.

" I wish I could hate you but I can't to be honest. You seem to have the effect of cooling me off even if it seems like I'm heated up hotter then ever. I won't fucking thank you for some retarded shit I could have done myself though. "

[The Dude]

"Who said we're buddy buddy? I think we still have a mutual dislike of the other. And hey, you know what? I'll take an 'I don't hate you' any day over a simple thanks."

Takumi starting chuckling louder and louder until he was laughing. The alcohol had definitely taken affect and Takumi was having fun again, but he also suspected there was more to his enjoyment here than just the booze. Something happening at this moment was actually enjoyable to him, he just couldn't put his finger on it.

"You want to be the most valuable person huh? That's a fine goal to have but to get there you'd have to do some pretty impressive stuff. Of course don't jump into a spot too high before I'm done with my own goal. I'm going to kill a kage someday and I'd hate for it to be you, try and wait to I take one out before you take their seat haha!"

Again the bottle slashed back but Takumi took a modest drink this time feeling less driven to the bottle now. There was something about this ninja more than just hate that was beginning to appeal to Takumi. Something deep in the boy's hatred was in harmony with Takumi but still the answer eluded him under the influence of alcohol's fog.

" And what makes you think you could handle me even if I was kage. I don't think your bugs will do shit to my Puppets. "

A fire burned within his visible piercing yellow optic, a fire ignited and sustained by his will. Something inside of Agito made him yearn to become stronger. It wasn't to murder someone to but to truly surpass his limits for the better of something else. The darkness within his heart would have to be focused in order for it to be beneficial to all. A small smirk escaped his lips one of borne from a true nature and not of a sarcastic one. This day seemed to be the beginning fo something which could not be identified. Both had not wanted to pour there souls out to the other but in the end a mutual understand was uncovered when there eyes locked. This was the beginning of a bond of rivals and hopefully team mates.

Takumi caught Agito's eyes staring back just as coolly as he could. The kid had determination burning behind his eyes even Takumi could see that. He still didn't like the kid so much, hell he couldn't even begin to think of respecting him. Understanding him even if only a little helped the Aburame to find some kindred spirit that was buried deep within each of their maladjusted personas.

"Eh, I suppose you could just call it a hunch or a feeling. There are a few weaknesses puppet masters leave exposed that are fairly common knowledge. At any rate though I think I need to run back into town, this bottle seems to have run out on me!"

Takumi drained the rest of the bottle before whipping it through the air away from the village off into the forest. Standing up slowly and carefully he turned back to the village and began to sing in a fine mumbling tone as he made his way. If he was lucky he could get another bottle before the store closed up.

" I doubt that shit, but whatever go be a loser with that damn bottle of beer. "

He watched as the aburama walked away towards the village. This would seem to be the end of there conversation but the beginning of something new. His body began to move towards his own place of residence. The night was still filled with a anguish and sorrow he could only feel. His nature had went from heated to sad once more . The walk towards his home seeming as if he was walking to his death. The depression he suppressed inside leaking through every so once in a while. The next day would hopefully bring for the surprises upon his event horizon.
