DESCRIPTION; GROWING, GROWING, ALWAYS GROWING. ONE OF THE CORE TENETS IN OUR VILLAGE IS EXPANSION AND IT APPEARS AS THOUGH A SMALL LITTLE FARMING HAMLET IS GETTING IN OUR WAY OF THAT. REPORTS SHOW THEY’RE JUST POPULATED WITH SIMPLE CROP FARMERS, REAL SHAME SINCE THEY’RE ALL GOING TO DIE. WE NEED YOU TO GO IN, SLAUGHTER THE SIMPLE FOLK AND PREPARE THE AREA FOR CONVERSION TO KIRIGAKURE TERRITORY.

Takumi walked out along the western road leading out of the village. A little way down the road there was a collection of farmers and their homes. It was unfortunate but they had chosen to settle close to the village for their own respectable reasons, but they were now in the path of Kirigakure's progress. They would meet the same fate those before them met by the means Kirigakure also used. Massacre.

Massacre took the form of a small child walking down the road with a bottle in a brown paper bag. He drank moderately from the bottle as he traveled slipping further and further away from sobriety as planned. Nothing about murdering an entire village struck a chord with Takumi, but he would suck it up and cut them down as the village asked of him. He had gotten used to meeting others expectations at the cost of his own morals long ago.

Now today he just had to cut a bloody path through the innocent in Kirigakure's name. Just another afternoon for any kiri shinobi, the sweet apathetic arms of alcohol would make it easier for him to ignore their cries for help. The facade alcohol provided had a two pronged affect hiding the shinobi's feelings from both himself and others.

After having walked down the road for a while the young Aburame would find the road blocked by three young bearded men who would stop his progress. From their appearance it was apparent they were either young farmers or the sons of farmers from the hamlet. Takumi moved to the other side of the road as he walked taking a generous slosh from the bottle, tipping his head back and swallowing the liquid without bothering with the taste of it. Before he could walk around them the biggest one moved himself directly in his path blocking the young shinobi.

"We know where you're going and we know what you intend to do. You're going to try and scare us into leaving our homes, but we're not cowards! We will fight even Kirigakure to the bitter last breath to defend our homes."

Takumi breathed a heavy depressing sigh that reeked of alcohol as he hung his head depressingly. Why? Why did these simpletons have to put up a fight for their homes and drag this ordeal out? Was it worth dying for? Normally this wouldn't depress Takumi, but it was depressing to see innocent people struggle vainly against a will far stronger than their own.

"You're wrong actually, well right and wrong but wrong on the important detail. Yes, I am from kirigakure and I am en route to your hamlet. No, I am not here to scare you out of your homes though. I don't know where you get your intel, but that's far from the truth."

"What are you going there for then? No matter what you say we won't leave."

Takumi's head still hung depressed from his shoulders but he was done talking to idiots. He was here to do the job and anymore conversation with these good people would only make him feel worse about what he had yet to do. He hadn't lied though about his intentions, he was going to the hamlet to slaughter the people not to make them afraid. When kirigakure first gave orders for them to evacuate, that was the fear strategy.

The citizens who stayed behind had received their first and final warning. They chose to remain stagnant against the village's will and now they would serve as a warning to those who dared to defy the Kirigakure no Sato. What chance did a bunch of simple farmers expect to have against a shinobi village anyway? Even if Takumi refused the mission others would come to extinguish their lives and cleanse the area.

Springing forward and reaching for the man's neck Takumi swiftly buried the hidden blade from his wrist into his throat. As his companions attempted to help the young man, the trained shinobi drew his own blade sloppily parrying their attacks. Stumbling into one of them in drunken attack Takumi knocked him to the floor off balance before he too fell to the floor narrowly avoiding a sai to the back before he buried his own kodachi into the other man on the ground.

Rolling away from the second body on the ground, the shinobi reached into his pouch and whipped a handful of about four needles at the last man. The alcohol was taking it's toll so the needles were highly inaccurate and far from lethal but they still hurt like hell as they punctured his skin. In the moment the man winced from the pain Takumi charged him drunkenly tackling him to the floor.

Pinning him to the ground Takumi drove a throwing needle through the palm of each of the young man's hands. As the man struggled bucking his hips and kicking his legs in an attempt to toss Takumi off of him, the shinobi wrapped his hands around his neck crushing his wind pipe with his thumbs. As Takumi strangled him the last sensation the boy would feel were the tiny legs of bugs crawling all over his face.

As the body grew still and cold in Takumi's grasp tears slowly ran from the corner of his eye down his face to be soaked up by his mask. He stood up from the body rubbing his eyes as though allergies were the culprit even though he knew they weren't. Business was often getting grim, and the occasional tears were shed but Takumi had his own medicine for coping with it.

Kikai flowed out from under his clothes into the air and dispersed onward down the road towards the hamlet. Takumi stayed behind putting the bodies on the side of the road in a pile and sat on top as he drank heavily from his bottle to stop the tears. As his skills and finesse continued to deteriorate so to did his feelings and emotions, and soon he was able to stop crying and recompose himself.

No sooner had the young shinobi gotten a grip on things than his swarm of kikai returned to him forming a small map in the air of the hamlet. The map seemed a bit fuzzy to Takumi but he managed to make it out after some time of silent focus. The farmers had gone and hired bandits as mercenaries to protect their homestead. They were getting desperate since the bandits were most likely going to steal and run as soon as the shinobi descended upon them.

All the same, nightfall would be coming soon and it would make advancing into the hamlet for the inevitable slaughter much easier. Takumi elected to wait for the dark as he sat upon his pile of corpses offering nothing but his middle finger as an explanation to travelers along the road. They would no doubt warn the farmers of Takumi's prescence but it was likely they already knew there sons were dead since they hadn't come home yet.

The sun set and night settled across the land in quiet serenity beguiling of the blood that was soon to be shed. Takumi had drank half the bottle and was once more the stone cold killer he needed to be... if not a clumsy one. All the same, going through a mission intoxicated was far less painful than consciously murdering innocents one by one. At least this way when the morning came Takumi would not have the memories of fearful cries for mercy, just the pain the reminded him he was still living.

He stood up from the pile of bodies forming hand seals to quickly summon a large veil of fog to mask his approach into the hamlet. The fog moved down along the road covering Takumi's drunken stumbling as he advanced ever closer as the harbinger of their destruction. The time had come to carry out Kiri's will and once he was inside the hamlet his kikai swarm flowed out through the village once more locating all people in the hamlet.

Following the kikai to the first farm Takumi simply stumbled into the barn under his veil and began rifling through miscellaneous tools until he found a barrel lamp oil. The kikai formed into a bug clone servant that was far more sober than Takumi himself, before pouring the lamp oil all over the walls of the barn as well as the nearby house. Striking his hidden blades together Takumi sparked the fire into existence that marked his arrival in the hamlet.

Flames roared higher and higher into the night sky masking the stars above with thick black smoke. The family in the house managed to break through a burning doorway following the father, but they made it no further. The clone sent accurate lethal needles zipping through the fog dropping all four of them on their porch either paralyzed and bleeding or simply dead.

As the family of bodies began to burn in the fire some whimpering fearfully more farmers and bandits arrived on the scene to investigate. They set to work fighting the fire distractedly but careful to post the bandits as look outs for any suspicious movement from the fog. With minimal sight, and bugs in the air the bandits would serve no purpose but target practice for the Aburame shinobi.

Kirigakure no Jutsu (Hidden Mist Technique)

Chakra: Low to cast and sustain.
Special: Fills a large, 10 meter area with mist as long as the user keep the technique flowing. Each time retrained, area of mist expands by 10 more meters to a maximum of 50 meters. Mist blocks out all doujutsu requiring clear visibility, but does not hinder the ability to see chakra.
Description: Though very basic, the Hidden Mist Technique allows for the stealthier side of combat to rule. After forming a few simple handseals, the user causes the area surrounding their target to be covered in fog. The low visibility allows the ninja to silently and secretly assassinate their target, as they can move unseen, and if careful, unheard. The mist can be unsettled by a very strong wind based technique (for one post), though it will eventually return.

Mushi Bunshin no Jutsu (Bug Clone Technique)

Chakra: High
Special: Up to one clone can be made at a time, plus one more each time retrained. When struck physically, clone may disperse and reform easily, making them defeatable only by wide, area-of-effect attacks. When defeated, it explodes in a burst of bugs, spreading its essence everywhere. Explosion range covers 5 meters all around the clone. Clone can perform all known clan jutsu, and can move up to one country away from the user before dissipating.
Description: Mushi Bunshin no Jutsu is as its name implies, an Aburame ninjutsu cloning technique that allows the clan member to create a clone out of their kikai. Using the destruction bugs living from within their body, the clan host calls on the bugs to form a bunshin copy of themselves inr order to trick their opponent. Effective for misdirection, but once damaged by an attack, the technique ends and the clone disperses back into the bugs which formed it.

More needles whistled out of the fog striking their marks as the bandits began to drop one by one gurgling, screaming, and whimpering. They were fools to side with farmers against Kirigakure and so they too shared the same fate as the farmers. The farmers turned to face the fog that masked the threat they all knew to be lurking in the shadows. The flames of the house were ignored as the grouped up in a total of seven farmers holding blades, bows, and an assortment of tools used for farming.

Takumi formed hand seals quietly within the fog before he vomited glue forth from the fog onto the feet of the seven farmers. A few arrows shot back into the fog but their aim was atrocious as they fired at a target they could not see. Forming more hand seals and stumbling about clumsily to avoid taking any shots from the farmers Takumi prepared his next attack.

At the same time his clone burst from the fog with a powerful leap landing upon the two closest shinobi and running his hidden blades through their necks before they had time to react. Before the clone could continue his rampage one of the farmers swung a ho clean through him dispersing him in a cloud of kikai that buzzed and swarmed angrily in their faces distracting them.

As the farmers were distracted Takumi stumbled out from the fog nearly tripping before belching forth another substance. This time the shinobi vomited forth a purple noxious gas that enveloped the farmers as the kikai flew back to the safety of the fog. The men's bodies locked up and fell over becoming even more entrapped in the glue. Trapped and paralyzed the men looked at the young shinobi with fearful eyes as Takumi awaited his poisonous fog to dissipate so he could finish the job.

Mizuame Nabara (Starch Syrup Capture Field)

Special: Glue freezes opponent in place for 1/2 a turn, plus 1/2 more each time retrained. Victims can only break free by providing a chakra burst equal to double that of the syrup cost, including retraining for extra turns. If the user does not coat their feet in special chakra, they can be stuck by this as well.
Description: Mizuame Nabara is a ninjutsu technique utilizing Suiton. After forming the needed handseals, the user will quickly expel a sticky liquid from their mouths. If the target runs on top of the liquid, their feet will become glued to its sticky surface. If the user focuses chakra to their feet before touching the surface, they can hover above and move over it without hindrance. This allows the caster or a comrade to charge and attack without fear of becoming bogged down as well, as long as they keep the chakra to their feet steady.

Doku Kiri (Poison Mist Technique)

Special: When first learned, poison gas cloud reaches up to 10 meters. Each rank re-learned adds an additional 5 meters to the maximum, for a maximum of 30 meters. Strength of poison is also determined by highest rank attained.
Description: Ninpou: Doku Kiri is an advanced Medical Ninjutsu technique utilized by skilled medics. After the needed handseals, the medic inhales briefly before expelling poision gas from their mouth at high speeds. This poison serves as a very potent paralytic, with the duration of the paralysis depending on rank learned. This can serve as cover to escape and as an offensive technique against her opponent, or as a trap when luring opponents your way.

Once the poisonous cloud had gone Takumi made sure to chakra coat his feet before he stumbled over the glue and withdrew his sword. The farmers whimpered pathetically as he began driving severing their heads one at a time with jagged messy slashes. By the time he had killed half of them off the other half had regained control of their mouths calling for help and mercy and Takumi continued his bloody work. The last farmer broke down and wept, screaming and crying for mercy as Takumi stood over him.

"YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO US! WE'LL LEAVE! WE'LL GET OUT! WE'LL PAY YOU! WE'LL DO WHATEVER YOU FUCKING WANT JUST PLEASE DON'T DO THIS, THERE ARE FAMILIES WHO DEPEND ON ME AND THE MEN YOU KILLED!"

Takumi's jaw clenched angrily and with drunken thrust he drove the kodachi into the man's mouth and through the back of his neck. Takumi had forgotten he was also here to kill the families and that did nothing to improve his mood. He piled the bodies of the farmers in the barn spitting on the last man's face disgustedly. The easy part was over, now he just had to murder the innocent families.

Again tears pooled in his eyes but he trudged on through the fog moving silently from house to house barricading doorways with miscellaneous barrels and crates from the area. Once they were all locked up he began setting them all on fire quietly just as he had done with the first house. The flames stretched up hungrily towards the sky and panicked yelling and screaming could be heard from women and children in the houses.

Takumi turned his back to the hell he had created leaving the hamlet behind him and uncorking his bottle. Tears now flowed freely from his eyes and he bit his lower lip in contempt at his own weakness before shoving the mouth of the bottle into his own mouth and swallowing as much as he could. He would stumble back to the village tears streaming down his face and in the morning he would have a seismic hangover, no memory of what he had done, and simply turn in the mission.
