Saliva was threatening to spill forth from the man’s mouth as he looked at the picture that hung from the wall. Two hands rose up, the fingers delicately plucking the picture like fruit from a tree and bringing it close to a pair of dark brown eyes. Hot breath fogged the glass of the frame, forcing the hand of the mysterious man to quickly use his sleeve to clear it. For a moment thoughts of lust overtook his mind, lust for his lost loved one, his dearest, his fiancé, his—
“Guh--!” A bloodied gurgle broke the illusion he was trapped in. The picture turned from glass and wood to cold sand. It spilled through his fingers and fell to the broken, dirtied ground. Eyes followed it, focusing on the blade of a katana that had entered his back and came out through his stomach. “D-damn…it…”
A moment later the blade ripped itself from the back of the Suna-Nin. For a moment he stumbled, his eyes looking around the broken shack he was in, his last memories of the illusion he had just been freed of. Grasping the wound at his stomach, he whispered out something unheard before collapsing to the ground. The same katana that had severed his spine came back down, removing head from shoulders.
“And another one bites the dust,” The murderer hummed, cleaning off the black and red blade before sheathing it at his side and waltzing out.QUEST!
See no Evil.
The meeting was urgent and important. The elders of Sunagakure no Sato, the power behind the Kazekage, had decided that enough was enough. For you, Etsuko Rekka, this was the worst case scenario—the situation had gotten far out of hand.
Entering into the council hall, you would see that the six elders sat at the round table, the seat at the head empty and reserved for you. In the back of the room were the statues of the previous Kazekage, each one famous in their own right. Depending on how you lead the village, including how you acted at his meeting, the possibility existed for your likeness to be carved into Suna’s walls.
“Please,” One of the elders began, his head wrapped in Kaze no Kuni’s familiar traditional turban. “Have a seat, Kazekage-Sama.”
