LEGACY OF THE DESERT
For as long as anyone had known, there have always been stories of a monster out deep in the desert of Kaze no Kuni. It would devour anyone it could get its grasp upon, whether they are from Sunagakure or anywhere else. As years had passed, there had been stories of people going missing, and never being seen or heard from ever again. Even those who go out to seek the monster in huge parties have never returned. Soon, the council had declared that hunting for whatever was out there deep within the desert should be left alone, for too many lives have been lost due to it.
They wanted to just leave it alone, and for many years people have since the council decided on leaving it alone. To the newer generations of Sunagakure, it was only a myth, a legend, a fable. No one would believe such a story, until two shinobi from Sunagakure had gone seeking for it. One of them was too infatuated with the story to just let it go so easily, and dragged along the other, in hopes of having a fun experience searching for the monster.
Once they had found what they were looking for, they had come across a great hole, filled with bones, presumably of those who were the victims of the monsters. They’ve seen large monstrous scorpions, and puppets wearing Sunagakure shinobi clothing and headbands, though no the mastermind himself. They had said they seen an addition figure, but it was gone before they could even find out who or what it was. With the information gathered about what they had seen, the council had worried about the actions that had taken place, and worried if the disturbance of the monster would mean anything for the village.
The shinobi who had led the expedition into the monsters domain, Etsuko Rekka, was apprehended for what he had done by the Sunagakure ANBU. They feared he could have brought total annihilation upon the village, for they didn't know what kind of monster they were dealing with. Though, they didn't know that this monster has always had his eyes upon the village, and that his true legacy would only begin once he devours the entire village and its people. The scariest thing isn’t that they don’t know what they are dealing with; it is that they don’t know when it will come and how it will attack.
The most dangerous thing within the shinobi world is being unprepared...
OBJECTIVE: Defeat the "Legacy of the Desert."
