Mail Courier v2

Mission Information: The Postal Service of Sunagakure is requesting that a few shinobi deliver some letters to the ghetto districts of the village. Apparently, some sort of small gang calling themselves terrorists have targeted the postal service and have been stealing mail and beating couriers. There have been no reports of death yet, but tensions are rising and the couriers refuse to deliver to this section of the village anymore.. Something must be done. The shinobi will receive a mail satchel (must be returned) and a courier armband (also must be returned) and will be instructed to deliver items to the ghetto districts of the village. If the shinobi encounters the gang, they are instructed not to kill, but merely “teach them a lesson.” The gang itself is small and poses little threat to a trained shinobi, but be on your guard.

The day was beginning to meet its end by the time I managed to get myself together and make my way to the Kazekage's empty residence. Though a leader was absent, the daily attendant was not, and thus, missions were still being delegated to Sunagakure shinobi normally. Having adorned my favorite outfit for the one millionth time, I left the residence with my mission slip and info wearing a simple, long sleeved T-shirt and a pair of ungodly comfortable pants. Barefooted as usual, I trekked through the halls of the former Kazekage's residence, brooding silently upon millions of things all at once, thoughts coming to the forefronts of my minds as firecrackers would explode into the sky.

"This mission seems pretty disturbing. But then again I'm little bit hungry, I wonder if that cat that sits on my balcony is still sitting there, can't be sure."

Immersed in a world of my own I inadvertently took my leave from the residence, aimlessly throwing myself into the streets of Sunagakure.

As I graciously sifted through the streets of Sunagakure, my left hand reflexively uplifted itself to my mouth, beginning to bite softly upon my thumb nail. My eyes flickered to and fro, taking in the lay of the land as I had done many times before. One would think that having lived in an area for over 2 decades you would have seen most things if not all, however, such was not the case. Sunagakure was a village that brimmed with cultivated life, everything about it was never still, but ever changing, and it simply amazed me how many different things I'd see each day passing through the streets of my glorious home.

My contemplative mind was hard at work as it sifted through an endless stream of thoughts, and that's when it came back me, my missions objective to be specific. Withdrawing my left hand from my pocket and with a sleight of hand I unfolded the slip itself, running my index and middle finger across the text as the words just effortlessly poured into my mind. From what I had read it seemed like the ghetto's of Sunagakure were having a hard time with a so called gang of terrorist who seemed to have been incessantly harassing its citizens.

It wasn't serious at all as there had been no reports of homicidal acts upon the couriers as of yet, but apparently tensions had been rising which heralded at a potential homicide. I full well understood that people did reckless things when consumed by anger, however, these criminals had to be brought to justice, by my hand. Though they were nothing more than harmless vermin to me, they were monsters to the citizens, monsters who obtained a thrill from watching others suffer and cower in fear before them, I hated these kind of monsters.

"I've got to take care of this carefully. Using my clay creations aren't an option, it'd cause too much destruction and bring harm to the citizens I'm protecting. I'll have to approach this another way it seems."

With my steps guiding upon a seemingly aimless path, I was well on my way to the ghettos of Sunagakure, it was a place, despite my stature as a shinobi, that I was all too familiar with. Through years during my upbringing as an orphan I was indeed bullied, unable to properly defend myself due to the significance that my hand mouths brought to me. I was an enigma as to why they continued with their verbal and physical attacks, I kept to myself majority of the time and even still, I was brutalized. But, truth be told I was glad, because without that experience, I would have been impossible for me to have found the true meaning of justice.

Having finally reached the postal service building the air around me screamed with malice and balefulness, it was quite, way too quiet as if this had been some horror movie with the antagonist watching me from afar. My calculative eyes endlessly flickered to and fro , jumping from place to place like snakes in grass as my steps continued. Clandestinely, my hands converged, merging with one another, performing an ancient zodiac dance. Immediately after I beckoned forth a couple of duplicates comprised of earth elements, but for now only I knew this. The satchel and arm band that I were to receive was on a counter a few meters from me my duplicate approached it and removed it from the side of the front door, alerting some kind of makeshift alarm.

"An alarm, that was quite unexpected, good thing I proceeded with caution."

My eyes blinked profusely, attempting to knock away what weariness managed to surface from within me, my eyes watered followed by a soft, quick second yawn as I both my clone and I were being surrounded by what seemed to just be 4 low-life thugs. Standing back to back with my own duplicate, there was not a single opponent that I could possibly have escaped my line of sight, my perception -in truth- wasn't what it could be in this situation but it was enough when dealing with those who haven't been trained and indoctrinated as a shinobi. This lack of discipline only forewarned the inevitable defeat of these lowly street thugs.

The alleged leader of the group itself was at my back, but also at my duplicates front, speaking to us both with a condescending tone of which I truthfully -and purposely- did not heed. He inquired about my presence, wondering who I was and who happened to send me, unfortunately, the answers that he so contentedly wished for never met the light of the one sided conversation. A brisk zephyr found its way rushing over the area, causing my ebony mane to sway resplendently as it fell deep from the depths of my scalp. My hands clandestinely hid themselves from plain view, tucked deep within the pockets of my pants as the thugs slowly, but blatantly approached as if my eyes laid not on them.

A light sigh escaped me as they slowly scudded 2 meters from us both, moving as if they knew they were doing, as if they had somehow known that I myself had not come prepared. As I had done it now just like I did back then, I sunk to the earth, so much so I submerged myself within it in an instant, sifting through the earth's mass, as my clone embraced the brunt of my opponents assault on its own. By now, I knew it was over. . .

Having eluded the gang of thugs with the suicide decapitation technique, my clone handled the rest. With my duplicate being at my command, it served its fulfilling purpose by constricting the strikes of the assailants, leaving their weapons buried within the clones heavy essence. Defeated, the clone exploding, blossoming into a brown, jellatine substance as it enveloped 3 of the four assailants, constricting their movements as its weight forced them to the ground beyond their will. The ringleader managed to escaped the scope of my clones detonation, however, he wasn't out of the frying pan just yet.

With his men neutralized by my duplicate, he frantically looked to his surroundings, trying to find and pinpoint any clue that could have indicated my position, he knew now what he was dealing with. Panicked and frightened, he attempted to flee, however, my hand emerged from the ground itself, pulling him in as I pulled myself out, leaving him buried up to his neck. After non-lethally dispatching my opponents I retrieved the courier armband along with the satchel, soon making my way back to the Kazekage's residence, ready to turn in my own mission and receive my rewards.

"That wasn't too hard at all, after my payment, I think I'll go treat myself to some dessert."
