Youko ran cheerfully through the streets. He was really looking forward to another mission. It’s been ages since he went out for a mission with such a enthusiasm. It felt good somehow though it was just a D-ranked Mission. These were the lowest ranked missions he could possibly pick. For some reason he burned fire out of his eyes because he wanted to do this mission so badly. Even for Youko this was insane how enthusiastic he was right now. But he knew why. That is most important. He had another of those random motivations he gets after seeing something cool. He decided that from today on forwards he’d do anything to join the chuunin in their ranks.
This enthusiasm eventually got the better of him. As this was the only thing that ran through his mind. I’m going to be a chuunin, I have to get stronger and get off my lazy ass. Without his mind being in his head he ran through town going to nowhere. He just had to run his energy out. People looked at him like he was crazy. Running through the streets like he was some wild dog at 2 o’clock. Youko, brain was going crazy.
While insanely walking through the streets the body takes its toll. The paved floor where he was walking on started to become harder. His heel wouldn’t allow him to bend his foot. His calves start to hurt and his legs started to become heavier. Even his clothes were stuck to his skin. And the unpleasant smell of sweat was following his trail. It didn’t take much longer than this before he stopped running. It wasn’t really a pleasant sight. He had sweat all over his face and his sweat patches were visible through his clothes. And a dying thirst for water.
He thought it’d be better to keep on walking towards the water source so he could drink and freshen up instead of dying along the way. Sometimes it can be a really drag to live in a dessert. The killing heat of the sun. The endless sadness of the desert. The massive destruction of the sandstorms. The dried ground the city is build on. If it wasn’t for these uncomfortable climate he’d probably run another mile. Most people even avoid the sun during these hours. The sun is at his highest right now, well that explains all the sweat he thought to himself.
Then he stopped and looked around. Where was he? By surprise he found himself in what seems to be an abandoned or at least badly maintained quarter of town. He remembered he used to play in these houses when they were still being built. He remembered once was detained with his friends by the local workers. They were pretty crossed with them. He got away by saying he had to take a leak, and they actually bought it. Well it wasn’t like he was lying. Normally he would feel guilty for leaving the punishment on his friends without doing it himself. But since he had to go real bad. He felt rather relieved instead of bad about it.
Well now at least he was aware again of where he was he might get moving to the old lady now.
