The receptionist didn't look too happy when Youko came back in and informed her of his mission. He ignored it because he didn't really care, all he came here for was to report that he completed missions and then accept a new mission. He looked around for annother mission that'd attract him. He noticed flyer sticking out underneath annother one of the many hundreds of mission flyers placed across the wall. Youko grabbed the flyer from underneath the other flyers.
The mission appeared to be called, 'The Haunting'. Seemed intresting enough for him.
"Heey, you wouldn't mind if I took this mission right?"
Without waiting for a response he left. Assuming that they'd accept it like they always did.

The other two boys were on one of the planks hiding behind the towels but they jumped down and screamed to let their sister go. Youko ignored this as they weren’t very convincing. He grabbed both the kids and tried to tie them down, however this went allot less convenient then when he was tying down the girl. Because these kids were allot more aggressive, they were biting scratching punching. After he tied them all down he dragged the three of them to the living room and sat down with them in a circle.

“Do you even know why I’m here?... No answer? That’s just fine with me. Then let me explain why I’m here. I’m Youko Zantetsuken and I’m send here by kazekage to watch over you because you have been chosen to become a ninja of this village. I’ll cut you loose now, you’re training will begin tomorrow. So you better get you’re rest because I don’t want you to be tired tomorrow.”
Youko folded his arm hoping that they’d buy it. Most kids were always noisy and annoying, they weren’t much different. That would also mean that they’d be impatience and naïve. This might just work out great for him. However these kids weren’t 6 years old anymore. They might just be smart enough to see through it. Well they calmed down a little now at least.
“Oh, wait I almost forgot why don’t you introduce yourself first?”
This question made his lie from before that more unbelievable; the Kazekage whould have informed him about the matter and also who he was dealing was. Well, how was he else supposed to know? The kids made it hard for him to come up with believable lies because they put him in a position and yet he doesn’t know anything all he could do was just hope for the kids to believe him. But even in the best scenario they’d have their doubts about it.

“How do we know that you were really send by the Kazekage? And why did he pick us?”
It was the older one who responded first. Just as Youko expected they’d see through it. Though there was a hint dropped when the oldest one answered. He definitely was in charge of the three and the master mind behind most plans. If he would convince him then the rest of them would follow. Though the kid was only 9 years old so that wouldn’t be much of a challenge, Youko grinned.
“I wear a Sunagakure head belt. And why he picked you? I don’t know, but I trust her judgement.”
The kids doubted it a little at first but what choice did they have. They’d be caught again if they ran away and if it was true what he said, and then they might even learn some cool stuff tomorrow. They argued and agreed that it’d be best to trust the man. The kids introduced themselves to Youko. Their fear was soon gone and excitement looking out for tomorrow filled its place. It was nice to earn their trust.

He then ordered the kids to go to bed promising to train them tomorrow. The kids listened to him surprisingly though the kids managed to make him read a story for them before they went to sleep. Youko read a book for them and before the end of the story they were all already vast asleep. It was nice to see them so quietly; they looked so innocent this way. Well his task was done and Youko became pretty tired from reading the book as well. At that same moment the parents came home.
Youko yawned and stretched himself. He walked the door passing the parents.
“They’re asleep.” He said while looking over his shoulder.

“I guess I’m going to sleep as well when I get home.”

With that he left waving while not looking back. The only thing he could think about right now was going to bed.

It was nearly dark and Youko walked the streets on his way to his new mission. His mission was to babysit some kids. It was quite a drag for him, since he wasn’t really the type to get along well with children. Well, so he liked to believe because most children would annoy him by not letting him rest, not even for a second. He preferred a fighting mission, maybe he would do that next time.

He arrived at the house. All kind of problems flashed before him how he could possibly fail the mission right before he pressed the doorbell. He sighed and a buzzing sound went through house. This would be the beginning of a very annoying and long mission. The door slowly opened making a cracking sound. A woman and a man well dressed were standing in the door opening looking at Youko with a surprised look. When they realized after a few seconds that he was the Shinobi they were waiting for their expression changed into a happy expression. Though the way they did it was very odd. They then stepped aside and invited him in.

He entered the house and took off his shoes at the front door. The house looked very normal a blue carpet covering the floor, white walls. It all felt natural, almost as if he was home, but then when his house would be cleaned up. The parents guided him through the house. To his right would be the dining room and if he walked a little further then on his left would be the living room, a bit further than that would be the stairs on the left and the kitchen on the left. The parents were very excited about their date and were giggling all the time. Right after Youko knew which room was where, they repeated the task he was given as if he was one of the kids himself, and they took off.

While the parents will be having the time of their lives Youko was stuck with their kids. He went to the living room, the kids were silently watching a movie on the tv. Maybe this would be an easy mission after all. But what would he say to those kids, they wouldn’t just listen to any person walking randomly into their house claiming he was going to babysit on them, and how was he supposed to get them to sleep, with force? Well everything looked peacefully as it is for now; it didn’t look like something problematic was going to happen. Maybe he should start with an introduction first and then see what comes from there.

Youko started walking west trusting on a simple old compass. The sun still wasn’t near of going down and the hills of sand seem to go on forever like an endless sea of sand. With each hill that he passed another hill would come. The thirst for water became stronger the longer that he walked through dessert. He slowly lost track of time, though he was at a point where it didn’t really matter anymore. His legs were getting heavier from all the hills that climbed and went from. Everything was fighting him; the only thing that kept him going was his mind. His strong will to finish this mission to overcome the dangerous threats of the dessert. He couldn’t lose now, there was nothing to fall back on and nobody would find him in the middle of the dessert.

After he walked up another hill his calves were burning of exertion if he would walk any further he would fall down of tiredness because his legs couldn’t take it anymore. Even his vision was getting a bit cloudy. He sat down and opened in his bottle he looked in the bottle, there wasn’t allot of water left. He drank the last of it hasty in one sway. The water ran over his cheeks because he drank it too fast, but it sure was refreshing. His vision became sharp again and when he closed the bottle and looked back up. He couldn’t believe his eyes. He finally saw a village; he could feel a small breeze. That must mean that he was near the sea. He stood back up with a smile. He won from the dessert. He finally made it. With this excitement he went back walking and picked up the pace a little.
When he reached the village he was stunned. It was a small village with stone white houses and air coming from the sea before. But that was not why Youko was so stunned. He has never seen so much water all together. It was unthinkable for him that there was so much water. He just stood there with his mouth open and his eyes straight open. Was that a sea? Then a man approached him.

“You must be the shinobi we’ve been waiting for. Now come with me and we’ll go fishing.”
Because of the bandages the man couldn’t see the surprised strange look on Youko’s face. While still not believing what he just saw he followed the man. With both not saying anything they walked through the town. He could see the starved people, he felt sorry for the people and dropped his coffee bean bag he still had from Kouhi. They walked down the cliff and walked over the beach coming out to the docks. The man pointed at a few boxes and made a gesture that he needed to take them with him. Without any complaints he picked up the heavy boxes and loaded them on the boat.
They set off, sailing away from the docks with the wind in his back. It gave a real good feeling; it was something he wasn’t used to. Since Sunagakure had no breeze as it was positioned in the middle of the desert. After they caught, or actually Youko, caught some fish they raised back the nets on the ship. Allot of them had trash between them. But the good fish were selected and added in the boxes.
After the boxes were full they went back to the shore. There still was a strange silence between him and the man but Youko didn’t care. This wind and this ocean of water made him relax and feel good. It was a feeling which was very hard to explain, it was as if he missed this all along. He no longer felt that he was chained to the city or any location. He felt free.

When they came back to the shore he thanked the man. He filled up his bottle and went back home. This was probably the most educative mission he has been on. It showed him more of the world. He was happy about that. It also made him feel free from Sunagakure for once. With this feeling he went back to Sunagakure.

It was another regular day just like any other day in the middle of the dessert. A hot day with dried sand, dry air and little to no people walking the streets, there wasn’t much to it. Youko stretched and yawned holding one hand in front of his mouth. He was on another mission on yet another hot day. He wasn’t really overly excited about this since this mission wanted him to catch fish. Well if he didn’t do it people would starve to death, so he might as well put some speed in it before he was responsible for someone starving to death.

He thanked the secretary for the mission and walked out the Kazekage’s residence. The sun blinded him for a second when he came outside but his eyes adapted themselves to the sun fast, because he was used to the dessert sun shining down on him all the time. A small sudden flash like that wouldn’t be a problem. It was a nice sight to see that everyone in the city was busy with repairing and restoring the village. It felt good that people were working so hard to regain the city’s status. It made him feel proud that he belonged and lived in this city.

He had to go all the way to the west side of Kaze no kuni. That was a quite the trip the travel especially for just a D ranked mission, but it never really was a problem anyway. He liked a challenge though he prefers that it’d be a challenge where he didn’t have to put in any physical effort. When would have to face challenges like this he would first try to look for a way out. Or any way that he wouldn’t have to do it, but since that’s not an option because he’s on an actual mission. There was only one other option left, he sighed. He actually did have to do effort to complete this mission. Now that he was planning on doing this mission one thing he was sure about, he would give it his all.

Now that he made up his mind to cheat on the mission or not he would have to pack up his stuff and go to the west side of Kaze no Kuni. He walked towards his house thinking about what he would need to pack and how the journey through the dessert would go. How would he go there? On a camel by night or just walking underneath the dessert sun wrapped in bandages walking from oasis to oasis? What things were awaiting him was also a big mystery but he did know that this mission wasn’t going to make it easy for him. He arrived at his house put the key in the door and turned it, unlocking the door.

He opened the door and entered his house. Pulled out the key again and closed the door behind him. Now where was he going to find what he needed in this mess for this trip across the dessert?

After they were done introducing each other more properly Youko, noticed that Kouhi bhought the story but Higan didn’t seem to. It made him nervous and uncomfortable when he was introducing himself. To him it was as if they were staring holes in him. When he was done he looked down to the ground avoiding eye contact but not too much for it to be suspicious. Kouhi was a nice kid, maybe a little too naïve but surely a nice guy, too bad that he couldn’t be too enthusiastic about his gift. Because he did appreciate it, he really did but he was disappointed that that he didn’t like it. The best he could hope for was that Kouhi would think he liked the coffee.

As for Higan, he had a neutral thought about him. He didn’t doubt him but he hasn’t seen enough of Higan to have a good glanse at his personality. He hasn’t seen allot of people of the famous Hyuuga clan. He made the team that more interesting to do a mission with because he would like to see a Hyuuga in action. The team hasn’t picked a leader yet but for Youko Higan would seem to fit that role just right. Kouhi would also but when it comes to experience, Higan would clearly have more experience than Kouhi. The reason he didn’t see himself fit was because he wasn’t responsible enough yet to lead a team.
The air got cooler, the only way that could happen was if it would it rain or if the sun would go down, in this case both were happening. He saw Kouhi looking up the sky why raindrops felt on his head. Also he and Higan started feeling raindrops falling on their heads. Higan then suggested it would be best if we stopped the meeting and we would all go home. Kind of sad Youko thought. The hot sun finally disappeared clouds actually came and it would even rain. This doesn’t happen every day but Youko agreed to it. Just as a sign that both of them could go and he would stay behind in the rain. He liked the rain, it didn’t come too often so when it did Youko wanted to enjoy the rain.

He started walking home when it started raining harder. The Hyuuga also left. Then Kouhi stopped and reached out for another paper bag in his satchel and threw the paper bag at Higan. He then realized he didn’t throw a bag at him also. He must have known that he didn’t like the coffee beans. Well he didn’t care at first, but then he realized that if he knew that he didn’t like it. Then he must have also known about his clan. Interesting kid. He small glimpse of a smile was visible at his face.

Now that he knew thought both of his teammates knew about his clan and didn’t judge him at all. He was able to let himself go for now as he wouldn’t be held responsible for his clan. He walked home through the rain probably catching a cold as his clothes were all wet also, but all he could think about what an interesting team he was put up with. That his mission was denied didn’t matter to him anymore, because he had a good team.
