He tightened his new dougi, a white linen affair as his bare feet touched the ground of the dojo, the floors were a warm oak, perhaps, he was not a wooden floor expert or anything of the sort, he just assumed it was oak since it was his first thought. His feet clattered every time he took a step as his training weights were no light object, they made every move significantly heavier, true they were old fashioned but they did wonders for him, always on the move he never truly missed a day of training this way. Before him he had a myriad of training tools assembled, he had stationary dummies, he had special kung-fu dummies built to strike back at him with their momentum, he even had an assortment of punching bag dummies and a sparring partner waiting for him should he need him. He leaned to one side stretching his obliques and then shifted so that the stretch transferred to his hamstring, repeating the stretch in the opposite direction before touching his toes. He raised a foot in the air and brought it down swiftly with a thud, he had to be careful as he had almost threatened to rub off his skin with that strike, perhaps the oak floor was indeed a bad choice but he would have to live with it, a tatami mat would threaten to collapse under him if he tried to practice on it, the rice screens of a dojo as well would be too fragile if he accidentally sent a shard of something flying.
He unrolled a instructional scroll, one of the many that were available for novices in taijutsu, which he technically was where most taijutsu was considered, he may have been an expert in jyuuken but goken and universal taijutsu were juxtapositions where jyuuken was concerned, and in the case that he faced a ninja that had some sort of inner chakra to cancel his, the brute smashing force of regular kicks and punches would no doubt come in handy. But he would get to the gouken in a bit, he still had to polish off his hyuuga abilities, as they were his foundation, his bread and butter, in addition they allowed him to block where gouken was all offense. He opened his byakugan, the world becoming immediately grayscale, he could see the chakra of his sparring partner. He grabbed a bag by his feet and from it procured a bag of rubber balls. He threw them in the air, high into the air and from then he immediately dropped in to the pose of his hyuuga style, one hand down the other in the air, his body crouching slightly with one leg forward as he envisioned one of the staple techniques of his clan’s repertoire. He began to spin, forcing chakra from his body, from his every pore. He would attempt to create the hakke kaiten, the main defensive move of his clan, if he succeeded all of the rubber projectlies would be deflected, if he failed. Well he didn’t quite know what would happen.
