HYOKA was growing tired of the life he had been living. He had gained little money, but had obtained much power. . but there was nothing to show for it. His title of chunin had been somewhat of a drag since he’d left kusa no kuni, never even completing a mission after he had gotten from the chunin exams because he had come back to a war. It was foolish to think that any other village would have taken him in, so he would travel the great lands in search for a better place – a place that enticed him. So far he had only been to the land of fire, and now he wanted to travel to the land of water. EUMA had been a drag lately – ever since talking to raven hair. Her jealousy was beginning to become somewhat of a bother, so he promised her that he’d meet her in kusa. “ I need some time to think about FOU” he’d say, playing his dead brother card like a genius in order to wiggle away from her clutches. She simply turned and walked off without saying much of a word, but the funikumi didn’t really have feelings for her either way. He’d pivot as well, bursting off in a sprint not too long after in order to catch the next boat leaving away from the ports.
It had been a while since he had ever stepped foot into the land of water. It was the first place that he’d visited after leaving kusa no kuni. Although it was a rather small place compared to everywhere else – it was booming with activity. The ships horn whistled loudly as it pulled up to the boarding docks of hi no kuni. After catching his breathe HYOKA would proceed to enter the ships vessel after paying his 1,000 yen. “ ALL ABOARD!!” the sailor bellowed out in a mighty voice, summoning forth the last few people to board. It would take a moment or two for everyone to settle in but immediately after the ship would be on its way to mizu no kuni. HYOKA would take the time to open his ears, closing his eyes to concentrate on the sound of chatter amongst the other men and women on the boat. Maybe they had something more to offer him than just a simple trip. After all, he was in search for power – what other way than to throw yourself amongst the mightiest, bearing whatever challenge they thought was strongest. If it took tackling on the fiercest of conditions, toughest obstacles, HYOKA would make sure to pursue it and conquer. Kusagakure had become the mudpile of modern day shinobi society; he wanted something more.
Eyes of blue lazily gazed down into the floor of the ships’ deck as his mind worried off into a land of boredom. Black clouds loomed overhead and people had begun to make their ways into the inside of the ship. HYOKA preferred it inside the chaos of the world, taking in what little he could of what life had to offer. The rain had begun to drop at a slow pace for only but two or three seconds. In that time it all seemed so quiet as lightning filled the night sky with little bursts of energy. It was almost like fireworks. The rain would drop harshly after those nimble moments in time and he would close his eyes in remembrance of his past. Him and his brother would escape into the night when it rained – playing tag with the other members in the funikumi clan. Man-hunt was what they called the game. It was used in order to increase their evasion and precision – and it worked throughout time. The simple fact was that they had done it because they liked it, not because it was going to increase their power just for the sake to have it. It somewhat reminded HYOKA of his journey now, travelling the world in search for something much more but not only for himself – but for his future. He wouldn’t become the scum of society in the name of his clan, no, he wanted quite the opposite.
Hours would pass by, he would find himself waking up to damp clothing and sunlight as the ship reached the sands of mizu no kuni. The smell of saltwater in the air as everyone lined up in order to exit the ship. He would find himself distancing himself away from the crowds of people – jumping straight from the side of the boat onto the ground using his chakra to create support within his joints for a more agile, and safe, landing. His eyes would scan the beauty that the country had to offer, but in the eyes of others it might have seemed more gloomy and eerie. HYOKA’s footsteps drew closer to a bar – and although he wasn’t of age – he knew he would be able to talk his way into anything. Pushing past the raggedy door he would push his way into, what looked like, a restaurant with a chain bar. The chunin would take his seat at the bar motioning to its tender by the raising of his brows. “hey bartender, got any scotch?”
