THE NOT SO GREAT RACE
A young, tan man made his way towards the main gates of Iwakagure to meet up with a Genin who went by the name of Jiso. That morning, Rasu Yotai continually tried convincing himself that his first mission was significant. In what way…he could not determine. Apparently, the Shinobi’s skills were acceptable for a mission, but only amounted to racing a child. The young man could already feel a crick in his neck so he rubbed his left shoulder uncomfortably. As he reached the gate, Rasu found that the Genin he was supposed to meet up with was nowhere.[/size] Rasu was nearly sent back by a gust of wind that passed through the entrance and halted before Rasu. Dumfounded, the Shinobi viewed what had been a swift, momentary motion to be Jiso. That gust of wind…it was his speed! Rasu’s eyes had never before needed to track someone’s movements so swiftly. He had literally been a blur not even a second ago!
This was ridiculous…If the Genin really wanted to stay on his toes, Rasu would have been glad to chuck some Makibishi his way. The Shinobi folded his arms, picturing a little kid comically jumping up and down from the sting of the ground spikes. It sounded like a great plan…Rasu would have enjoyed that mission! He would have smiled at the thought if he wasn’t so irritated. The Shinobi relied on the sun overhead to determine the time, quickly learning that Jiso was now ten minutes late. Rasu adjusted his radio signal; ready to tell the Tsuchikage’s office assistants that the mission-giver was a no-show when-
zzzZZZOOOMMMM!!!
The Genin Jiso wore a wide grin proudly across his face with his hands upon his hips as he spoke. His bluish black hair was cut short; probably to keep it out of his eyes will he ran. Jiso was short, compact. He wore his headband around his neck. The Genin could not have been over fifteen years old and yet he was somehow so fast. Rasu double took when his eyes reached his legs; the calves of this child were like horse-legs!
“Catch me if you can!” Jiso whipped his forehead and jumped against the balls of his feet. “See you on the other side!” This was all Jiso said before departing in a burst of energy towards the finish point. Rasu remained still, his dumbfounded expression distorted into a hysterical grin. His confusion was replaced with anticipation and Rasu became pumped! Now this was the challenge he had been looking for![/blockquote]
