Mission Subject: Don Konanji, This is the name of a rogue Iwagakure no Sato genin who was caught trying to sneak into the Tsuchikage’s vault. No doubt he had plans to steal ryo or village secrets for malicious intent. It was recently reported that Don escaped his cell at the Iwagakure prison. As the village gates are being guarded he has not been able to escape. A skilled shinobi or group of novices is required to capture the convict. Be on your guard, as he is a skilled Katon user. Bring him in..alive.

Walking straight out of the Tsuchikage's office, Izou held in his left two pieces of paper that would be critical to this mission. The first was a report of his target's latest whereabouts, and the second was a photograph of his target. Having immediately snagged a mission to catch a rogue Genin for his first mission, the young Iwa-nin was going to make sure that the mission was a success.

He double-checked his weapons and equipment. His right hand dropped instinctively to the knife strapped to his waist. It was in its leather sheath, and Izou had a habit of touching his fingers to the hilt of the knife every so often. It gave him a sense of security, a feeling that regardless of the dangers he would face, he would never cower in fear as long as he had Kyuushi in his hands.

Transferring the picture of his target to his right hand, Izou took a long hard look at the photo he held. It was tough, but he tried to commit the photo to memory and quickly stuck into his pants pocket. He turned his attention to the piece of paper containing information on the target's last known whereabouts. After reading it, Izou held his head up to take a look at his surroundings and stuck the piece of paper into the same pocket he had kept the photo.

"Mission start..." the boy said under his breath.

Running to where Don Konanji, Izou's target, was last seen, Izou quickly scanned the new surroundings. The information provided had only came in fifteen minutes ago, and the Iwa-nin was sure that his rogue target was still in the area. Walking up to one of the shops in the area, Izou quickly fished out the photo and showed it to the shop owner.

"Have you seen this person?" the silver-haired genin asked as he held the picture up in front of the shop owner. The shop owner merely shook his head in response. Nodding and uttering a quick thank you, Izou continued doing the same thing at every single shop in the area, always asking the same question.

His spirit was not so easily doused though. Persevering to the last shop, which was a weapons shop, Izou had just held up the picture of Don Kanonji when there was a shout. Head whipping in the direction of the noise, the Genin saw a male around his height rushing out of the shop, his hands holding something long.

The shout had been from another male customer who had been pushed down by the fleeing man as he made his way out of the shop. Izou's instincts screamed for him to chase after the fleeing person, and he did just that.

Izou had suspected the fleeing person to be his target, and without regard for anything else, he gave chase. Don Kanonji had purposely ran to a crowded street that was filled with stalls, shops and people. He was clear-minded enough to weave in and out of the traffic, using the crowd to his advantage in a bid to lose his pursuer.

His pursuer, however, wasn't dumb. Knowing well that he could never hope to catch up with Don if he chased him through the crowd of people, Izou jumped up the roof of a stall much to the owner's dismay and leapt for the roof of the shoplots.

Feet landing firmly on the roof tiles, the silver-haired boy ran as fast as he could as he kept his eyes trained on Don. Don was doing the same thing as he kept turning around to see how far away Izou was, and when he saw the Genin running on the roofs to reach him, he quickly did the same.

With both the pursuer and pursued on the roofs, the outcome was beginning to be clear to Izou. His target was confident in his own abilities that he was now leading the Genin to a place where they could fight without any interruptions. The very idea of battle on his first mission thrilled him and Izou pressed on with a burst of chakra to his feet which propelled him further forward.

As he began to close the distance between himself and Don, Izou bent down as he ran to grab a few roof tiles. Gauging the strength required and the trajectory of his throw, Izou threw tiles in succession at his target, aiming for his back and neck

As if anticipating this maneuver, the rogue Genin spun around and used the weapon he had stolen from the weapon shop to deflect the projectiles. The roof tiles broke upon impact with the stolen weapon, but they had served their purpose. When Don Kanonji had turned around to defend himself, he had thought that Izou had thrown kunai at him, which could be deflected.

However, the roof tiles weren't as hard as the kunai and broke instead of being thrown to one side. Pelted by the shards of the tiles, the rogue Genin was distracted, allowing Izou to throw two more roof tiles which hit the rogue Iwa-nin directly in the stomach. The two successful hits threw the rogue off the roof and onto the ground.

Recovering from the fall quickly, the rogue Genin drew the stolen katana as Izou jumped off the roof and landed softly. Barely deterred, Izou's right hand instantly dropped to the hilt of his combat knife. His left hand was held in front of him, open palm style. By luck or by plan, they had chosen a back alley as their battleground.

Surrounded on both sides by walls, the two Genin sized each other up before their fight began. Being the more impatient of the two, Don lunged forward first, holding the katana with both hands, the weapon held horizontally forward to the side of his face for a neck-level thrusting attack.

With the nature of the attack clear, Izou deftly drew out his combat knife and dropped down into a crouch as the katana thrust through nothing but air. Catching the opportunity, the silver-haired genin rose up from his crouch with a burst. He caught one of Don's arms and then slammed his right elbow into his ribs.

Air pushed out of his lungs, Don stumbled back a few steps, still keeping his grip on the katana.

"Why are you so loyal to the Tsuchikage? Can't you just let me leave?" Don Konanji shouted in frustration as he threw his katana behind him, the sword making all sorts of noise as it rolled on the ground before finally stopping. The rogue Genin's hands went through a few changes as he formed hand seals, and before Izou could do the same, Don brought his hands to his mouth as he blew out a large fireball from his mouth.

Fighting in the back alley was now a bad idea as Izou tried to outrun the fireball, with nowhere to run but the front. The fireball dropped to the ground and exploded upon contact, to which the Iwa-nin reacted by using the Plasma Ball technique. Emitting a sphere of electric around his body, Izou could only take a gamble to see if it was capable of protecting him against the blast.

The explosion spanned a radius of five metres, covering a portion of the back alley entirely in smoke and flames. It was lucky that the buildings in Iwagakure had been made of bricks and mud, or else they would have caught fire from the blast. Smoke billowed around the explosion site, and as the thick grey smoke engulfed the area, nothing could be seen.

Don Konanji stood outside the smoke's range and waited to see if his pursuer had been burnt alive. Nothing emerged from the smoke even after five minutes had gone by, and satisfied that Izou was dead, Don turned around and walked towards the katana on the ground to pick it up and sheath it.

A smirk on his face, the rogue Genin strolled out of the back alley leisurely. He hadn't successfully leave the village, but at least he had killed a Genin. Letting his guard down was the biggest mistake he ever did. Bursting out from the smoke, Izou ran at his target as silently as he could.

His right arm was sparking with electricity, arcing around his arm. When he had closed the distance between them, Izou leapt up into the air, his right arm cocked behind him. With as much force as he could muster, the Iwa-nin slammed his lightning-laced palm into Don's back and released all of the accumulated electric into his target.

Thrown forward and onto the ground by Izou's open palm slam into his back, the rogue Genin lied motionless on the dusty ground, knocked out by the Stunning Limb technique.

Earlier, Izou's Plasma Ball technique had barely done the job as it dispersed as soon as the first shockwave from the explosion hit, leaving him open to the flames. Fortunately, Izou had shielded his face with his arms, and kicked back from the explosion, suffering only minor burns on his arms.

Without any rope to tie down his bounty, Izou decided to just drag Don by his collar, and he really did drag the unconscious rogue Genin all the way to the Tsuchikage's office as onlookers stared at the odd spectacle.
