It was another die survived in hell... Groggy eyes flickered in an out of focus, adjusting to the light that peaked in through the open window. Awaking with the sun, a yawn escaped Munnin's lips as he scratched his head, hazel pools glancing about almost confused at their surroundings. "Thats right. He exclaimed, hit suddenly with a headache he grasped his head as the dull throbbing increased. I slept in this barn last night cause I was drunk..." It was all clear now, the night before was foggy, but fragments came to the weary man as he propped himself up from the makeshift hay bed, letting loose another yawn. He had came back to his hometown of Blast City to restock on supplies, Munnin was never the stay at home type, and from an early age he had taken care of himself in such a ugly world. Despite the hardships, the dangers, the poison of life he'd survived till this day due to his own skills. Abilities refined through hard work and sacrifice. Tying his hair into its usual style-a ponytail with hair falling over his forehead, parted so it wrapped around. To his side laid his trusty katana, a cloth tied to the hilt as a memento of sorts. Reaching behind him he grabbed his straw hat, placing it on his head so the slit faced the front. As he sat there, footsteps crept closer and closer and than suddenly a fairly large man opened the barns door, inviting in the shine of the early morning. His face swelled ad contorted as his cheeks brightened with the flow of blood. "Shit... Munnnin muttered lowly, his eyes focused on the stout man. "Dammit you wretch, what I'd tell you about sneaking in here you dead beat!" Whilst the bald fat man screamed, spitting his insults, Munnin leap to his feet, snatching his katana, he made for the open window. "Thanks for the stay!" He'd tease as the man pursued him, fumbling over his own feet. "Dammit I'll gut you one day you hear!" He was bright red now as Munnin hopped up a shelf and out into the streets of the bustling city, ignoring the mans words all while smiling, his ebony hair fluttering behind him. Landing awkwardly upon the balls of his heels, he caught himself using his free hand, his torso leaning forward as he regained his balance. All eyes were upon him as he darted into the thick of the city. While running Munnin fastened his katana to his hip, the feel of the wind against his face familiar as always. His pace slowed once he punctured a crowd of civilians, the soft thudding of his heart against his chest slowly slowing. "That was close." Munnin said as he pulled his straw hat down to shadow his scarred visage. Looking back he could see the large man searching for him, a snicker would escape the wanderer as he set out about his business for the day. He went where the wind did, doing as he pleased. It was how he lived, how he got by, how he defined himself. It was just a average day for Munnin... made by renni |
