Fang whistled quietly as he walked through the earthen corridors of the Hidden Stone's Hospital with Rey following just behind him bobbing his head to Fang's tune. Fang grinned and picked up the small wolf and set him on his shoulder where he curled into the gap of his coat's collar and Fang's neck. The closeness of the two warmed Fang for an Inuzuka's bond would never break for as long as they had each other.

As they walked Fang saw the Medics working on many injured ninja most of which were probably injured while out on a mission or something of the sort. The scenes humbled Fang, these sights reminded him that everyone was human and they could always lose their life in the blink of an eye.

With the smell of bleach and other disenfectants fresh in his head he left the sick bay and headed through the rehab center on his way out. In many of the rooms he saw patients that had been injured and trying to get their old abilities back such as walking or dexterity. However he heard a large crash from down the hall and bolted down the hallway. The sudden jerk made Rey alert and he climbed on top of Fang's head as they came to the room he heard it from. In the room were two men, one who was in a boxer's stance while his hands glowed green while the other was down on one knees holding his jaw, which had been split open, with a glowing green hand as well while the bleeding slowly stopped.

The fighter then drew back and got ready to throw another punch at the man doubled over on the floor just as Fang drew out his claws from his belt and lit them ablaze while moving quickly to stand at the injured man's defense. Rey followed suit and jumped off behind Fang to back him up and defend the injured man. "Back off! or take on someone your own size!"

"Someone my own size, you say?" The advantaged assailant seemed amused by his unwanted company's heroism. He wasted no time driving forward just as he'd intended before he was interrupted, his hands now basking in a floating azure hue. As he darted forward his arm slung in the direction of his new target, with killing intent present through a ravenous glare that remained fixed on his prey.

1. Chakra no Mesu (Chakra Scalpel)

Fang's lips tilted upwards as the attacker lunged, with deft swiftness his claws burned bright and as he moved forward crossing the flaming claws in a crisscross of burning hot steel, the blades would easily be able to stop the fist if not more. Rey would take the opportunity to usher the hurt man out of the room so he wouldn't be a victim of collateral damage.

Flaming claws soon found their way to the attacker, burning and pulling at all that stood in the way of the attack. The repugnant smell of singed flesh began to fill the air as he let out one last cry of agony before falling to the floor, a pool of red outstretching from where he laid. The sound of the commotion had drawn many of the hospital's denizens to the scene. Some were employees, others patients, but together they looked on as the man with flaming hands escorted a wounded individual out of the room.

To those that weren't there to witness what had occurred, it appeared that the one causing the discourse had been caught red handed, literally. His hands still trickled with burning chakra and, from the outside looking in, he appeared to be ready to seal the fate of another innocent.

The lingering hum of their commotion, a composition of terror-filled cries amongst disapproving insults, would slowly give way to the echoing patter of hard soles against hard floor. If the Katon user had been observing, he would've noticed that the an access had been laid directly to him, made by the onlookers who now hung close to the wall, especially for the one they'd silenced themselves for.

Crystalline blue irises leered at killer from behind spectacles, blonde tresses sat perfectly on his shoulders. His outfit made it clear that he was very much a home; an oxford shirt covered by a lab coat that was pinned with Iwagakure's emblem, brown slacks with accompanying brown leather shoes.

He removed his glasses before he spoke.

"I see you've taken it upon yourself to harm some of my patients. This is not a place for battle -- but I will gladly show you the way out."

He didn't mean by using the exit door.

Fang let the blood spray not even blinking as some touched his face, though the wounds would be impeding they wouldn't be too severe. He put away his claws then went to Rey and the injured man and helped him up supporting him but at the same time was their progress halted by a crowd that had heard the massive commotion that had been caused.

Not surprising but still massively annoying, the crowd had jumped to the conclusion that Fang himself had started the commotion. The crowd then started to insult and berate him some even throwing a bedpan at him which clang eerily against his temple, he grit his teeth and bared it. But the second someone suggested that Rey had attacked someone too and that the mutt should be put down his temper along with a red flaming aura burst alive around his form making his heavy leather coat to bellow behind him with the air currents. "Shut up you idiotic twat! You don't understand a damn thing so don't you dare threaten my partner!!!"

His anger was boiling as the crowd became as silent as a grave which made it easier to hear the rapid clicking of shoes on the hard floor as people made a path fro a doctor with piercing blue eyes to come forth. The man seemed to scan him with the same judgmental eyes as the others, he seemed to be threatening him though he couldn't tell if it was passive-aggressive or not. Fang wouldn't back down and locked his gaze with the doctor's as the aura died down. "I was defending this man and I'm not leaving till I know he is safe."[/blockquote][/color]

A noticeable heat radiated from the man before the doctor, one that frightened most patients but did nothing for himself. Locked in a stand off, it was evident that if the good doctor was to take action he would have to do so with no casualties. The questionable one spoke of vigilance but the ninja world was brimming with liars and cut throats. How could it determined if this man was or wasn't one or the other?

The person he claimed to save didn't acknowledge such an event, so there was no telling.


"And what of the man behind you? Does your bleeding heart not ache for those felled by your own hand?"

As the doctor spoke his hands raised to form a special mudra, one that would clamor an unsettling burst from behind the man. If he turned around he would find his vision clouded by a dense veil of smoke.

Ahead of him stood a man intent, waiting for even the slightest hint of malice.

His words quelled the heat that came from and he looked down at the blood on his free hand. He was a shinobi, not a liar and cheat but a fierce warrior, even his clan had taught him to fight like an animal. Fang sighed as he touched the crimson fang on his cheek before returning his gaze to the man his pupils returning to round rather than slits. "I was raised to fight like a beast, but I won't kill. Not without any other choice. Those I draw blood from are only delivered their assigned punishment."

Fang saw the seal the man had made and froze knowing he could be killed quickly if he slipped up now and made a slight hand motion to Rey to make him lay with his tail between his legs and crawl away from all the people to the side of the room. Fang looked up at a medic that had followed the doctor and he motioned for him to help the man before holding up his hands in surrender trying to move his left arm as little as possible so as not to drop the man he was supporting. After the medic helped the man away Fang slowly lowered himself to his knees still without looking away from the doctor. "To my village I am NOT a murderer..."

"My fangs only clash with those of others who have already bared theirs..."

The doctor watched as an accomplice of his retrieved the wounded man from the fire baron's arms. That was when he began to show his true colors, those of a valiant being, but what he professed as his method, to fight as a ravenous beast, carried the same bittersweet taste it always had. Too often had he heard someone explain that espousing death with death gave them a reason to live. After surviving the first Great Shinobi War to find his family displaced while his home village stood as a shell of its former else, believing in such propaganda was almost comical. Almost.


"I know of your clan; the Inuzuka, who fight alongside beasts and even imitate them to strike fear in the hearts of others." Closed lids opened and the distance between them was devoured until the good doctor stood before his kneeling counterpart. His chakra stores had all but settled and, even as he spoke, there floated residual waves of energy that he consciously directed to their appendages.


"But despite your lineage, friend, you are no beast -- and I will prove it to you if you're willing to prove it to yourself."

A congenial hand extended toward the kneeling Inuzuka as a gesture of good things to come.

Fang waited for the judgment as he felt the body of chakra behind them and he felt his body tense in conflict against his fight-or flight instincts. This worsened as the man had spoken of experience with his lineage, the Inuzuka were famous as the harbingers of bloodshed, able to tear a body to nothing but shreds with a mere twist of their body. The man stepped closer as he watched his closed eyes open again, he steeled his body making it motionless nearly quelling his breathing as well.

His fears vanished at the sight of the outstretched hand offering repentance for the past of his beastly family. While the fear left his chest air returned to it, he took the hand and stood back up smiling faintly. "Th-Thank you for your understanding... It's rare to find one who doesn't judge a wolf for its pack."

A strange saying to be sure but one that rang clear nonetheless.

When the Inuzuka took his hand and stood, the doctor only smiled as his grip tightened to ensure the recoil of his next action could be sustained. The chakra he'd accumulated to his appendage, his hand, burst forth voluminously in the form of a bright blue flame that flickered very similarly to the Inuzuka's own just moments before.

What he'd feel would be a sensation of helplessness, one that would become more and more real as he came to realize that he no longer carried dominion over his own body, nor his own power.

The technique he'd used before left him with half of his normally available stores and what remained would be robbed from him in the most forceful fashion. The helplessness he'd made the man behind him feel now lurked at his front door, and it demanded his cooperation. This would continue until there was nothing left for the Inuzuka to hold on to, not even his own consciousness.

The rapid flood of chakra made his vision swim making everything seem blurred, Rey yelped and ran to his side pawing at his leg, but the action was useless as he fell back to his knees his natural claws slip from his fingers, a natural last ditch attempt of Inuzuka anatomy to stay alive, and his thumb-claw made a light cut on the back of the doctor's hand as he fell over unconscious his hand simply sliding from the man's. Being a pup and still inexperienced, Rey darted into Fang's coat hiding.

Four hours had since passed and the fledgling shinobi would awaken inside of an infirmary, neatly kept with all white tile floor and earthen tone wallpaper. His view from the bed left him facing a desk that sat afront multiple filing cabinets, along with tables lined to the edges with new age medical paraphernalia. Before the desk sat a leather couch that, other than the bed and a few potted plants, stood out as the only piece of furniture in the room.

And behind the desk was The Good Doctor, shuffling through papers and marking them as he went along. Surely he would have questions to ask, or he could have sought redemption for his unwanted incapacitation. Either way it went, his mark sat comfortably just a few feet away from him.

What would he do?

Fang groaned as he sat up rubbing his head feeling like he had a massive hang over as his vision swayed and bobbed as he sat up. The last thing he remembered was falling to the ground with a massive draining feeling spreading through his body. His eyes scanned the room as his vision cleared taking in the earthy interior and unique medical objects lining the walls ad cabinets.

His gaze then fell squarely onto the man that had knocked his ass out, the doctor. He edged out of the bed getting his balance back slowly as he sidled over to the leather couch before falling into it trying to get a bit more of his equilibrium back, but on the upside it felt like his chakra was back. "My head hurts like motha... Was that really necessary?"

"It was", the doctor quickly retorted. "You've experienced first hand what it means to be helpless before another. The man you attacked before is in the infirmary right now due to your actions, you both have that in common.

The files betwixt his fingers were set neatly on the desktop and his full attention was now directed at the Inuzuka. He still appeared to be battling the effects of having his chakra forcefully withdrawn, an ailment that rest alone could not remedy. The Good Doctor's free hand moved to the closest corner of his desk where a small brown box sat. It was lined with various switches, buttons, and other triggers that did who knew what, but he allowed a finger to press down on one of the triggers before folding his hands atop one another.

Not even three seconds after did a voice call out to him, it's tone reminiscent of a telephone receiver.

Yes, Dr. Kikkawa?

"Ryo, would you please bring my guest the meal I had you prepare? His chakra still hasn't stabilized."

Sure thing, doc! Give me five minutes!

The doctor smiled and nodded as the white noise from the machine cut out, signalling that both devices had shut off. As he turned to face his company once more, a hand raised to remove his glasses before he spoke.


"So, Inuzuka, what is your name? What is your story? Tell me a little about yourself."

A twitch of annoyance flicked through him resisting the urge to growl or mutter as his vision sharpened and he leaned back on the leather couch almost unknowingly trying to light his fingers ablaze to reestablish his fiery link with the natural order of the world. "So I take it the man I helped hasn't been able to vouch for me?..."

Then as the doctor seemed to fiddle over his control board he stiffened slightly not sure what they would do. and when he finally hit a button a piercing high pitched sound rang through his head cutting off almost all of his senses leaving him stunned and as the noise cut off he nearly dropped panting and rubbing his ears trying to hear just catching the end of whatever he was saying as the doctor asked about him. "Ow... noise hurts..."

"My name is Fang, just Fang, I lost my parents to the war when I was young and I've refused to take any name other than my parent's but I haven't been able to find out theirs yet... I joined the corps to defend my fellow shinobi and I hope to gain the power to defend as many of the village as i can. It may seem unrealistic but I don't want other people to have to deal with the loss i suffered." He mulled over the incidents of his past the thoughts sobering him as he looked back up at the doctor. "Is there anything else or specific about me you would like to know?"
