As the dust settled...
A familiar cold breeze seeped through the gaping wound in the stone mountains. A valley, they called it. But it was a lonely place and lonely places should not have names. Rather, they should be thrown aside as disused dolls and broken blades... and a new weapon should be picked from the earth. A team. A team with a bond so great that foes quake in their boots with their mere presence. A team with a bond so great that even the stars would move aside for them. A team so great...
That they could guess what the other was thinking...
A small, discoloured rose bush grew next to a hideously deformed tree. The roses had already collapsed in on themselves, curled into a pathetic shrivel of discoloured white and earthly brown. It ought to be put out of it's misery and picked from it's branch, torn from it's bush. It should be burned.
She would do no such thing...
A slender figure walked into the warm-coloured setting. The sun was beginning to set, the trees looking as if they were on fire. The colours all seemed to blend together as they shone through the leaves. A beautiful site... but... Aihime was not here to look at the scenery. On her list of things today, she had planned to meet up with Hana for a spot of training.
