[/font]Traversing through Kaze no Kuni was always a hassle, even for those as experienced with the desert as herself. The travel cloak she wore protected against the harsh burn of the sun, but it did nothing to alleviate the heat; in fact, the heavy material made it seem a thousand times worse. Youka was one of those rare people who did not sweat very much at all, even during the most intense physical activity, but by the time they had reached the boarder of the country there were beads of perspiration along her brow, a trickle down the side of her cheek every now and then. Perhaps she should have been embarrassed about the uncleanliness of it all, but Atsui would not be able to see these details, not beneath her hood. With a deep breath Youka stopped, glad that the air seemed to be cooling down gradually.
"Atsui-san. Where do we need to go from here?" She asked him, turning to stare at the Genin with a somber expression. He was one of the rare few who were capable of being called courier ninja—they all had the remarkable ability to recall village locations, not unlike a world map in that respect. She had heard many good things about him from the more senior couriers, and trusted his judgement on the directional aspect of this trip. "We need to get to Kumogakure no Sato as quickly as possible, so I'll need you to decide what direction through Kaminari no Kuni we should take."
The Shodaime waited, patiently listening as he described where they would need to head next. The information was useless to her, unfortunately. From this time forward she would be trailing behind him, keeping her senses open to scout for danger. Honestly, if he let her try to find the village herself, they were bound to get lost. When Atsui finally began heading in the direction that would eventually lead to their destination, she began following, the excitement of the matter welling up in her chest. "I can't wait ... !"
