The Shadow of Chaos! [t]

Sitting in his office, the mundane task of sorting through his paperwork made his mind drool with displeasure. It had only been a sort time since he was told that he was chosen to be come the next Lightning Shadow, Raikage of Kumogakure. He still couldn't believe it. With the passing of Atlas-sama, Eiichiro's good friend and mentor, he still wasn't completely comfortable with the terms of his inauguration. However, he would defend this nation with everything he had, in the current time, the turmoil of the world would not breach the walls of his village.

Sitting idly his hands would move with the anticipation of a new task. Fidgeting and uneasy he would shuffle some papers before putting them in a pile on the desk. Pausing briefly, he would sit back in his chair - only the sound of the pounding rain could be heard on the towers roof. Pushing his body up from the chair he would make his way to the door, his jacket flowing upward behind him as he moved swiftly. Edging the door open he would overhear his secretary, Benkei, talking with another ninja. As his presence became know, the two shinobi would bow their heads as he arrived in the room speaking as if an auto-command "Raikage-Sama". He still wasn't used to that.

"What's the problem Benkei? I couldn't help but overhear your conversation with this man."

His tone was soft but also mischievous. Benkei knew Eiichiro's nature, and with a malevolent smile stretching across his face she knew that he could sense something more cheerful to do. Releasing a sigh, she proceeded to tell Eiichiro of the coliseum missions that needed to be completed. There was a filing mishap and the genin that was supposed to do the mission was out of the country participating on another. Even though they were D-rank, the beasts had been captured and couldn't be housed in the coliseum for much longer.

"Leave it to me Benkei-san. I'll have this sorted, it will be a nice change from the paperwork!"

As the words left his mouth you could see the energetic Eiichiro's eyes light up at the request. He had been brimming to leave the tower for hours, and this would be the perfect excuse, and in all honesty - there was some specific training he wanted to do. Benkei would look upon her newly appointed Raikage, knowing that there would be no way of talking him out of it. "I guess I can't talk you out of this then? Just remember to wear a coat - its pouring out there." The words would bounce off of her soft lips as they reached Eiichiro's ears. Comforting none-the-less, he would do as she asked, grabbing a coat off of the rack next to her desk but only after grabbing a special scroll off of his desk.

Walking in a swift fashion the sound of his feet would echo down the spiraling staircase, captured between the thick ornate stone. As he moved he would put his coat on over his body, its long loose fabric guarding him from the ales of the weather outside. Nearing the end of his journey he would proceed to pull a packet of cigarette's from his pouch, placing one in his mouth before putting it back. As he came to the doors below he would be greeted by two guards who were stationed at each side of the large double-wooden structure. Once again, they would bow at his arrival, and Eiichiro would acknowledge this with a simple way of his hand.

As he pushed open the doors he was greeted with thunderous roaring from the sky above. Looking up, he would blow out a plume of smoke which became nearly unrecognizable - lashed by the wind and rain as it escaped his mouth. This kind of weather was common in Kaminari and as a local you begin to accept the weather patterns, and begin to even like them. Eiichiro enjoyed the entertainment of a storm, the lightning dancing across the sky to the beat of the pounding thunder. He would begin to walk in the direction of the coliseum pulling his hood up over his head to shield of the rain above.

Walking through the village the presence of his identity would be masked by the hooded rain-jacket he wore. Each step he took disturbed the small puddles of water that was starting form on the ground beneath him. The rain was relentless, as it poured with vigor down upon the nation that he loved. A light-show was present in the sky above as thunder and lightning competed with each other furiously. Not before long he would make it to the entrance of the coliseum. Upon reaching the large closed gates which would be its formal entrance - two hooded guards would approach him. As they approached he would raise both his hands to the top of his hood, pulling it down to reveal him face.

With that notion the two men would instantly bow at the sight of his face, the Raikage, opening the gate within an instant. He would issue them both with a wicked smile before entering the complex. To-be-honest, a wild gorilla and rhino were the perfect beasts for him to experiment on. The true reasoning for him partaking in a D-rank mission was for a specific training. He was here to train the kinjutsu Kage Bushin, a relic scroll which is only held by the Kage of a village. He would need the knowledge contained in this scroll to further his ability as a shinobi - and further the prosperity of his village. Complete taking his robe off he would throw it to the ground only a few meters to his right, allowing the continuous rain to pound down upon his attire.

"I'll tell you when to release the beasts ok? There are a few things I need to do first.

Booming his voice across the main yard of the coliseum towards the stationed guards it would be slightly muffled by the weather. Standing, he would begin to take a seat in the middle of the coliseum ground. To any outsider the action would seem odd and strange. It was pouring with rain, completely pouring, and a man was sitting with crossed legs in the middle of a battle coliseum. The members of the village knew of Eiichiro's eccentricities but the guards would be seeing these traits in the flesh. Suddenly, the golden-haired kage would pull out the scroll he gathered from his desk early - laying it out on the ground in front of him. With the scroll laid flat (with its contents open) he would begin to make a single seal before the inscriptions on the parchment lit up with a blue hue. As the rain continued to pour its liquid would have no effect on the paper of the scroll. It was truly unique..

Time to concentrate Eiichiro...I wonder if he will come?

And with that extra thought the knowledge that he nearly forgot for a moment reappeared, deja vu. He was waiting for one more person...

Having spent the last several hours completing a d-rank mission within one the grand village’s shopping districts, the conscientious adolescent would now be seen exiting; leaving the area just as the cloudy atmosphere had began to rain.

ehh... what’s next..

Haru would consider his plans for the remainder of the day in the midst of wandering throughout the damp, semi-crowded streets of Kumogakure no Sato; while the early morning had been littered with dull tasks, the afternoon promised to be much, much more exciting. Particularly special in that there had been arrangements made for the prodigious Hyūga to meet once again with the village’s youthful Raikage.

Their reunion was an occasion he’d been looking forward to over the past few days, seeing as the golden-haired shinobi had offered to allow Haru a chance at learning the famed kinjutsu ‘kage bunshin’, a true top-tier jutsu.

It was an enjoyable feeling, to be recognized for your skill, even more so with it being by the Raikage of all people. The youthful ninja would see it as fate, owing primarily to the fact that they’d actually met by chance on a partnered mission, even before Eiichiro had been rewarded the venerable title.

Regardless of what it was, he’d be forced to stow away the ponderings as he’d come within a mile of his destination, now preparing his mind for the demanding training that was to come. This type of exertion was nothing new to the boy, seeing that the earliest portion of his life had been spent working under the Hyūga Elders and their harsh, rigorous, and even, at times, impossible regimen made solely for him.

Hurrying toward the coliseum, he’d pull his hood up and over his hair as a wave of intensely torrential rain had began pouring down, now activating his Kekkai Genkai so as to pick out where exactly the golden-haired shinobi would be.

Loyal to his famed peculiarity, the shinobi would be sitting still within the middle of the arena battlefield, a scroll depicting the forbidden jutsu spread out in front of him. The odd sight would force a slight chuckle from the boy, though he’d be sure not to show it as he reached the actual gates entrance, deactivating his Byakugan as well, not wanting to attract stares from the crowd of citizens positioned outside.

With the sound of his footsteps masked by the rain, the Hyūga would be sure to make his presence known by voice, speaking to the village’s leader in a duly respectful tone, concurrently nodding as the man would look his way.

RL has finally settled down...did ya miss me?! ^^

Continually, the rain poured. With every passing second the rain would not hinder in its approach: it seemed as though it was content on trying to get Eiichiro drenched. Raising his hand to his hair he would seamlessly begin to stroke his fingers and palm through its wet texture - brushing his soggy golden wet locks to the back of his head and out of his forehead and face. Turning his neck either side a subtle click would release from his tense bones - it had seemed a long time since he had trained properly.

And just like that his ears would pick-up on the sound of a young voice, but not before the presence of his chakra was felt first. Without looking up he knew who was here, it would be the ninja that he invited to attend his special training - none other than the Hyuga-boy which impressed him in this very arena. Releasing a deep breathe into the surrounding air it would indicate the temperature dropping slightly as the cloud from his warm breathe would become noticeable in the air for a moment. Turning his head upward at the boy, the rain would proceed to stream down his head and face as he began to speak.

"You're late....but we can blame that on the weather.

His words seemed stern at the beginning but would soon end with a comical element. The boy couldn't have been more than a minute late either side, but he always enjoyed making others feel uneasy- if only for a moment. His legs were still crossed and once again he began to hold a single seal as the blue hue of the scroll brightened as his chakra became more focused. There training would begin soon enough and this scroll would be the gate for them to unlock a rare and valuable kinjutsu that only the hidden villages possessed. Making eye contact with the Hyuga he would begin to speak once more, however, this time it was with a much more light but commanding tone.

"Come, take a seat in front of the scroll with me. Now...do you have any idea why I have brought you here or what this scroll contains?"

With no way of checking the time, he’d only hope the man hadn’t been waiting for too long – eventually given a form of assurance as the Raikage would, moments later, add on to his previous sentence. Haru’s shoulders would drop from their more tense state with the enunciation of his playful remark, afterward giving the man a look of amusement before finally converging upon him and the large, still dry paper scroll. Presently closer, he’d cunningly eye the scroll laid before Eiichiro, gleaning as much from it as possible before averting his attention back toward the shinobi himself, consequently listening attentively to his authoritative speech. As his superior spoke, Haru would drop the hood that had formerly been put up as a shield from the brunt of the precipitation, subsequently taking his coat off and tying it around his waist. Following the man’s previous example, he too would pop his neck, afterward cracking his knuckles in the course of taking a seat opposite the lava-wielding ninja. Now level with and in the direct presence of Kumo's leader, Haru would be quick to take on a more serious demeanor, not wanting to waste the man’s time, or his own even. The seasoned Genin would take several subtle, relaxing deep breaths as Eiichiro would finish his question, taking the time to think before providing him with an answer. Having momentarily glimpsed the scroll, catching a few words here and there, he felt confident in his assumption that the parchment detailed the kinjutsu Kage Bunshin, a jutsu revered throughout the shinobi world, known for its ability to create a true copy of oneself capable of being used in battle. He’d recite his supposition in a calm, respectful tone; afterward preparing his inner self for what was soon to come. "erm, i'm thinking that scroll contains details on kage bunshin, but I may have looked at it wrong."[/style]
