It would still be early in the morning as the young Hyūga sat on the edge of a rooftop towards the middle of Kumogakure no Sato. Watching the people below, he’d concurrently be reflecting on the day’s events so far.

The day had been extremely eventful up to this point, having consisted of two d-rank missions.

The first had been a delivery task, which had seen the boy running across town on errands, transporting packages to their designated locations. The second had involved catching four fish, which, ironically, had been more exhausting than his first mission.

Recovering from the chakra exerted in his successful attempt at overpowering a much bigger, colossal sized fish, Haru would continue sitting, his thoughts now drifting from the past to the future – his third d-rank mission of the day.

His plan had been to do five for the day, and thus had carried with him five mission slips. Two down, he’d have three more to choose from; the Genin would sift through the trio in his hands as he pondered on the details and niceties of each.

Several minutes later, the young Genin would settle on a cleaning mission; more specifically, scrubbing the graffiti tagged by the village’s troublemakers and miscreants.

The thought would annoy the mature boy, as the people doing this were, more than likely, older than he was. Instead of using their time to better the city they lived in, they’d decided to instead degrade its appearance. A small fury would rise in the boy as he continued his pondering.

However, he was neither a thick-headed or close-minded individual, and thus would attempt to view the situation from their point of view, instead of blindly judging the group.

There had to have been a decent reason for their actions, whether it be anger at peers who had went on to become Kumogakure ninja, they themselves failing the academy, or having grown up in a rather bad part of town and garnering a hate for the village because of it, just to name a few.

Regardless of the specific reasoning, it was an act of rebellion; understanding this, the young Shinobi’s fury would slightly recede, as he himself defecting from the village of Konohagakure could have been viewed in the same way.

Twiddling his thumbs at the considerations, Haru would eventually decide that he would leave them alone and not judge, now focusing on cleaning the large village.

Hopping down from the small building, Haru would now make his way through the streets of Kumo and back to his house. Seeing that this would be a mission consisting of a ton of scrubbing, he’d be forced to fetch a rag and soap.

Walking toward his destination, the young Hyūga would be seen wearing a white, short-sleeved t-shirt, the kanji 雲 for cloud emblazoned in a dark blue on the back and right chest of it. Below that, he’d wear light khaki shorts, along with geta sandals colored in the same hue.

Lastly, a pair of ivory, shark-tooth, dangling earrings would hang from either of his ears, while his smaller, black-clothed hitai-ate would be worn as a bracelet on his right wrist.

He lived in the best part of town, at the end of a neighborhood filled with the most luxurious, lavish houses. He’d eye the familiar buildings during his journey toward the dwelling he’d stayed in, which would be one of the most grand of them all, a true gift from the Raikage himself.

Regardless of its beauty, the youthful Shinobi would leave his house as quickly as he’d enter, simply grabbing several washcloths and a large bucket of soapy water.

Back outside, the boy would once again read over his mission slip. On it were five separate parts of town, each reportedly covered in the graffiti he’d be working to clean.

He would activate his Byakugan as he made his way toward the first site, elated at the advantage he'd be given thanks to his clan’s Kekkai Genkai. While other ninja were forced to walk from street to street in search of the tagging, he’d be able to view everything at once.

Undoubtedly, the boy understood the value in his eyes, having never taken them for granted even as a toddler. These treasured eyes would scour the land as he arrived at his destination; he’d jot each specific one down upon seeing it, eventually having a list full of different tags.

He’d stand slightly surprised at the effort the group had put into this, guessing it’d taken them all night to get just to get one section done. There was a possibility, however, that there had been more than one group doing it; it would explain the different styles of graffiti he’d spotted, atleast.

Climbing down from a vantage point he’d been scanning the area from, Haru would take hold of his bucket and towels, afterward commencing the exertion and supreme effort it would take to effectively eradicate the demeaning art.

The graffiti would be difficult to get off at first, though upon getting a hang of the different ways to scrub it, would become a bit easier. The immense amount of work ahead of him seemed daunting, as he’d just finished cleaning off the first wall, and unsure of how he’d be able to finish in a day.

He’d have to give his all if he wanted to complete his goal of five d-ranked missions for the day, and thus would speed by as fast as he could, working at a breakneck pace, the effort even forcing drops of sweat to fall from his face.

Given an hour and a half, the first section would be completed, along with the boy now being drenched in sweat. He’d prop his hands on his knees as he began panting in an attempt to get some oxygen back into his system.

He’d worked without a break; this combined with his previous two missions would impose exhaustion upon the youth. However, his sense of duty as a ninja would overpower the feeling, compelling him to stand up straight and begin making his way toward the second location.

Fortunately for the boy, there would be a small resting period before his next sequence of work, as he’d have to find a vantage point and record the instances of graffiti before he could continue with the actual cleaning.

His pale eyes would scan every building nearby in search of the paintings, similar to the first time, and would eventually have every tagged wall within the area written down.

His previous guess that there’d been more than one party doing this would be confirmed as he observed the area; seeing that, the “artwork” seen here was completely different and even contrasted the tagging he’d witnessed previously.

Continuing his observations, he’d begin to note just how talented the taggers were. Even if was counterproductive toward the growth and prosperity of their village, he had to admit that their skill was impressive, and something he doubted he could come close to replicating himself.

"If only they would put their efforts into something such as actual art work they could sell, or even spray-painting portraits under a theme other than desecration."

His thoughts on the subject eventually fading away, he’d begin scrubbing away at an abnormal speed as he had before, one that’d cause surprise in any civilians nearby.

While it may have seemed to outsiders as if he was pushing himself excessively hard for a task so simple, to him it was common practice, and even necessary. He was the type of Shinobi that gave his all in everything he did, no matter how daunting, long, or intimidating the task may have seemed.

With this attitude, he’d effectually finish faster than most others would have been able to in his shoes, next moving onto the third, fourth, and fifth locations.

His routine would be the same with each as well – first scanning the area, recording each specific occurrence of the tagged graffiti, and afterward getting to work at a pace that would seem suicidal to any of the non-shinobi passersby.

Upon completing the mission, he’d pull the last two slips out, now contemplating on which to begin next.
