description; A while ago during Kumogakure birthing stages a man once made a bet with a Jounin. The man bet the Jounin that the shinobi’s current students couldn’t climb Mountain Gekitsuu. Mountain Gekitsuu is the highest mountain within’ Kumogakure no Sato and is rumored to be the started point for the famous Kumogakure no Sato village. Anyway, the Jounin accepted the mans bet because the shinobi had insurmountable faith in his Genin. Long story short the Genin climbed the mountain and returned. The Jounin won the bet and all was well. Now it’s your turn to climb Mountain Gekitsuu, and prove to Kumogakure that you aren’t just some shinobi. You’re a Kumogakure no Sato shinobi.

The young genin looked up at the mountain before him. His grin had faded a bit since earlier, but there was still a hint of it on his face. He raised his hand to his forehead to block the sun from his view so that he could get a better look at the mountain, trying to see to the very top of it. However, it seemed to extend on until forever and beyond the clouds that lined the sky. His mission for today was to climb to the top of this mountain which was the tallest in Kaminari no Kuni, however it wouldn't just be a mission for the genin but an achievement. A rise to power. He placed his hand on his hip and couldn't help but grin. If he climbed to the top like the shinobi before him he wouldn't be just any ordinary shinobi. He would be a Kumogakure no Sato shinobi, like the ones before him who had climbed to the top of this towering mountain.

He then began to repeat to himself what he had said earlier when obtaining the mission I, Noboru Dokuzetsu, will climb the highest of mountains, if it means surpassing others and becoming a better, stronger shinobi! It gave him the motivation to continue forth and actually climb the mountain after fully seeing actually how tall it actually was in person. He took a breath and stepped forward, this would begin his climb to the top of the highest mountain in Kaminari no Kuni. Noboru would conquer this mountain and conquer even more until he ascends into the heavens. Into fame perhaps! This would begin his journey into the unknown, his journey to be strong.

"You ready mountain?" he asked the mountain, figuratively. He continued to grin as he walked forward saving his energy for the long climb ahead of him. Normally he would have jogged off since he was so high on energy which was rare for him considering he was usually lazy. However, he had set his mind to this and it was something he wanted to achieve. It wasn't just another mission to him. It was something that could make him a stronger and better shinobi.

Noboru continued to advance towards the mountain and began to encounter even rougher terrain than what he had encountered when he first came across the mountain. And the mountain itself became bigger and bigger as he walked towards it, moving around boulders or just simply jumping up onto them and jumping to the next boulder that blocked his way. Kaminari no Kuni had pretty rough terrain, but it was a good workout for the shinobi who lived here. Nobu found himself sweating a little before he even go to the real base of the mountain. He jumped onto another boulder and then stopped, looking up once again. He still couldn't see where the top of the mountain ended. There were still clouds masking it from view. He was just measuring how high it actually was. Looking in front of him again he looked for a pathway that led upwards.

Once he did he advanced forward, jumping to another boulder and what not. He began to finally advance upwards, a bit slowly however. The side of the mountain gradually went upwards, like most mountains did. However, this one seemed to slant upwards much more than normal mountains, well ones that appeared in other countries. The mountains in Kuminari no Kuni were sharp, jagged and rough. They extruded from the ground and reached to the heavens as far as they could.

Noboru finally seemed to reach the base of the mountain, if you could call it that. There were boulders and rocks all over and which lead up the mountain. The pathway was rough and probably dangerous, if he landed wrong on a rock or something he could send himself tumbling down if he didn't quickly move to the next rock or area on the mountain where the earth extruded from the mountain. Moving from boulder to boulder by jumping, Noboru advanced up the mountain. As he went from one rock to the next, he first spotted out a good place on the mountain to jump as he landed and then repeated that as he went up. He continued this for awhile, it was basically rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat..

The sun continued to remain in the sky, heating Noboru's body up even more than it already was from sweating and working his muscles. He had been at this a half hour now since he had started to actually advance up the side of the mountain. Nobu stopped for a moment to catch his breath, he had only begun a little bit ago and it was taking small little pieces out of him. Perhaps he should treat the mountain different, figure out a different way up because jumping up it. He looked up the side of the mountain again, raising his hand again to block the sun from his view. He still couldn't see the top. He then looked down and figured he probably wasn't even half way up the darn thing. However, if he took a wrong step and didn't catch himself that would still be some fall. But, he wasn't much of one to be clumsy and let himself fall all the way down the side of the mountain. He was a ninja after all.

Wiping the sweat that had gathered on his forehead, he continued forth up the mountain. He wasn't really that out of breath yet however, he had probably already worked off most of the food he had eaten before taking up this mission. A grin formed on his face again as he recalled the types of foods he could probably buy after turning in this mission, a reward to himself for actually climbing all the way up the darn mountain side. He continued to jump from place to place, having not figured out another way up the darn side of the mountain.

However, some ways up the mountain seemed to even up some so that one could walk for a little bits. Within a few minutes he managed to reach the area he spotted out and went to walking for awhile, however the ground beneath him still elevated upwards. It sure was a work out on his legs, however he would need the strength when he was to become a Chuunin and so forth until he became a powerful shinobi. He also recalled the Chuunin exams were coming up soon. His team had said something about participating and mentioned that he was slacking off and probably wouldn't be able to partcipate. Which had also become another reason he had decided to climb this darn mountain of legend. He wanted to advance with his team mates during the exams. To do this he had to become stronger.

His muscles were already starting to ache, however he decided to take it as a good sign. He decided to take this mission as training instead of just another mission. Though, it was good that after completing it he would get a reward which were before it seemed that the shinobi had just climbed it for the sake of it or because of some bet. But, after taking this mission Noboru's view on it had changed accordingly. He usually had some real good reason to do something, simply because he needed the motivation to do so. And, now he seemed to have a reason and thus the motivation to climb this mountain no matter how tall the darn thing was.

There was determination in his eyes as he continued to walk up he side of the mountain, using rocks and other various rough areas on the side of the mountain as stairs. However, as he looked up ahead it seemed that the terrain got rough again to the point that he probably couldn't advance upwards as he was now. He would have to go up it like he been earlier, by jumping. He stopped for a moment to look up once again, "Tssch.." he gritted through his teeth as he still couldn't see the top of the mountain. He rubbed behind his head and laughed to himself some. Heh, there needed to be some fun in this for him. Too bad his team mates couldn't accompany him on this mission. Hah! They probably already climbed it without me. he thought to himself. Them rascals. he sneered, then jogged forward jumping to a nearby ledge. "Sennnpaaaiiii! I'm going to reach the heavens!" he yelled, rushing headstrong upwards. "Yah hear me!? I'mma surpass god!"

If others climbed this mountain before him such as his team mates, then surely he could climb it right?

The sun was beginning to hit beyond mid-day and move towards the horizon, Noboru still couldn't see how far it actually was to the top but he had been at this climbing this for awhile. He should be at the top before the sun hit the horizon. He stopped for what seemed to be the fifth time, he was getting a bit tired but he would continue to push himself till he got to the top. As he had been taught, if he persevered he could accomplish anything. So he figured just a little bit more, however he would probably have to climb down afterwards. He hadn't thought about that fact until now. How would he get down? Well, the way he came. Unless someone had a hot-air balloon or something to carry him down..which no one probably did. Nor did anyone really know he was climbing it accept for whoever had accepted the mission. He would definitely be treating himself tonight!

Taking a swig of water from his canteen, which was about half way full. He hadn't drinking any the beginning of the climb however with the sun halfway blazing he didn't want to become dehydrated, so he occasionally took a small sip when he decided to stop and gather his bearings again. Placing the canteen back on his waist he looked down the side of the mountain. He was really, really high now. He should be at the top anytime soon shouldn't he? Scratching the back of his head, he laughed to himself some. "Aaah, just how damn high is this mountain? No wonder that shinobi made a bet way back when.." he said to himself. Turning around he placed his hands on his side and then looked at the mountain ahead of him. He grinned. "Almooost there!" However, he still couldn't see the top of the mountain for it was hidden beneath the clouds. However, as the wind blew some he swore he saw a small hint of the top of the mountain. "Chaa!"

He rushed forward, however as he continued jumping he found that there weren't as many ledges that were big enough so he could jump onto them. He then brandished his kunai and threw them into the rock in front and above him. He then began to jump from one kunai to the other, throwing another kunai as he landed on one. However after awhile he decided that it wasn't the most effective for he would soon run out of kunai. He would have to climb the rest of the way up by grabbing the ledges and rocks that extruded a small bit from the side of the mountain with his hands.

Grab destiny by the horns...

Noboru seemed to continue this endeavor for what seemed hours. It really did take a long time to climb the highest mountain in Kaminari no Kuni. But, alas it seemed Noboru was getting to the top of the mountain though it was clouded by clouds.. However, he knew he was getting close. He could just feel it! He was still climbing up the side of the mountain with his hands by grabbing a ledge and then pulling himself up to the next one. Occasionally he would come across a larger ledge where he could rest or gain momentum. He looked up again, as he did he saw a larger ledge that looked more liek a cliff..that seemed to lead to the top of the mountain.

He grinned and then pulled himself to the next ledge, using his feet he gripped the side of the mountain and propelled himself up. He was close! Just a few more feet upwards. A couple minutes later he reached the edge of the cliff he had seen and then pulled himself up. He saw flat ground in front of him but as he looked up he saw another tower of the mountain. "You..got to be kidding me.." he said. However, it seemed that the next one seemed to be like the ledge he had just climbed up onto. Perhaps it was the top? He rushed as fast as he could towards it, for he was exhausted but somehow still had bursts of energy to burn off. He jumped as far as he could and grabbed the next ledge and then with his hands propelled himself up. He continued this until he gripped the edge of what he presumed to be the top..

As he was about to propel himself up he lost his grip and was able to fall to the ground. He managed to catch onto a small rock and hung there for a moment. He gritted his teeth. Sweat tripped down his brow and sides of his face. He took a deep sigh. "I. Will. Defeat. You. Mountain!" he said as he pulled himself to the next ledge and the next till he came to the top again. Once there he practically rolled himself to the top. Taking a deep breath he laid with his face facing upwards towards the sky. He saw clouds and blue sky. He laid there for a moment catching his breath. Finally, he looked around for any sign that this was not indeed the top of the mountain. There was a bit of uneven surface but there was nothing that towered beyond his height. He closed his eyes and grinned. He punched the sky, then his arm flopped to the ground besides him.

It seemed that he had gone to sleep or something, but he was listening to the quietness around him. He then opened his eyes that for a moment seemed to deceive him and appeared blue. A serene color. He was still breathing heavily but not as much. Sitting up he looked around, the wind blowing across his face. Greeting him. It seemed much more cooler here at high altitudes where the wind seemed to blow more. He planted a kunai into the ground besides him and then with another began to etch something into the ground. He wrote his full name as well as his nickname of which he hoped to be known by;

After a long rest, he headed back down. It seemed a lot easier going down, though he still had to careful. Once back at the village he would turn in the mission and then go to the best restaurant around and buy himself some delicious food!
