through the desert alone

The Kazekage, along said the Kusakage would make their way out into Kaze no Kuni deep within the desert where they could see no one for miles in the distance. The darkness of night had now faded away, the illuminating light of the sun which had rose up every the land had extinguished it. And with the sun, the heat that Kaze no Kuni was known for had returned, it would be intense for those who wasn't use to dealing with such heat. Like the Kusakage, she probably wasn't one for being in the desert and dealing with the heat, especially without the proper clothing to endure it all.

But, unless she would say something, he'd be far from able to help her with her situation. His sanguine hues had peered far into the desert, his hawk-like eyes would grant him superb vision, being able to see far in the desert, his eyes were probably better than the Kusakage's, due to more accustomed to spotting things in the far distances of the desert. He would continue to walk side by side with the Kusakage, riding upon the golden grains of sand that had created the great desert that they would see before them and all around. His ebony hair had cascaded down his back, hanging at the center of his back, while the hair which had come down the side of his face graced his shoulders.

Still sporting his robes, though his head and feet were bare, he was able to walk upon the hot sand without being bothered by it at all. His warms had hung by his sides, and his head would turn over to his side, to view the Kusakage who had traveled with him.

("How are you holding up, Kusakage-chan? The heat isn't too much, is it?")

He would ask in a calm tone, though his words would only carry a bit of concern for her. He wasn't the type to jump to help anyone, even a woman, despite how she may have looked, or what she was able to do. She was a grown woman, and she should be able to protect herself, in most cases. But, if she couldn't deal with the heat, why would she have traveled through the desert in the first place to get into the village?

Would she have just done this to get into the village, like it was just to test her abilities? He wouldn't even have known how she was able to get pass the village gate guards without being detected, but he had to let these things go for now. He would soon discover how she had done such a thing, one way or the other, and her secret would be uncovered to him. His eyes would then advert back to the desert before them as they continued to venture forth through it all.

As the light of morning slowly cracked through the skies of suna, it gave me a clear warning that I had been here much longer than I’d initially expected. After all, I hadn’t even guessed that I’d be away given the fact that last night I’d only been up at night in order to visit one of the areas I was sure I had once lived in as a child, and now I found myself crossing the warm sands of Sunagakure. Thankfully enough at the current time we were travelling very early in the morning, so the heat wasn’t that bad, and the definite chill from the night slowly began to rise and disappear, giving way to the soft rays of the sun. Of course, it wasn’t boiling at the moment given the time, but I was sure that within the timespace of six or so hours around mid-day, the sun would be blazing down on the country, and hopefully by then I’d be gone, and back in my home village. Looking up at the sun as it slowly but surely began to peek out from the distance, I’d then move my attention back to the Kazekage, who was escorting me across the desert. Of course, I was more than capable of travelling by myself, but it gave me time to discuss whatever things would be brought up soon in regards to the both of our villages and our newly created treaty.

"How are you holding up, Kusakage-chan? The heat isn't too much, is it?"

I’d shake my head to this, if anything, at the current moment it wasn’t all that different to Kusagakure, and I was sure that during our travels it would simply become more similar. When it would become too warm to handle, I’d surely be out of the place scot free- Or at least that was my plan. It had been my plan to be in Kusagakure at this time today, and it had been my plan to never even leave there, but I’d come to realize that plans could easily be changed, and this was no exception. "Kusagakure is known for its humidity due to the forests- It gets quite warm there.” Of course, it was nothing compared to the vast expansions of desert that Suna was known for, but at the same time, I had been in the village at times in my youth where it was unbearable to stay outside for long without getting too warm, but those days were long gone, and I awaited for a similar day to dawn upon the village soon. Just when would that be? "We get a lot of rain but the amount of sun is probably equal.." of course, it wasn't as if I was initiating small-talk by speaking about the weather, but at least I was filling whatever gap of silence that there could have been, with meaningful discussion. Kusa no kuni hadn't been visited by shinobi properly for years since its destruction in the first war, and I was sure that the Kazekage hadn't been there before to understand its climate. Given the fact that our villages were now allied however, I was sure that he'd pay a visit soon- and I'd be ready for it when the time came. I had so much to do.

"..So I'm not too concerned."

Of course- the temperature was increasing, there was no doubt about it- But I didn't mind. I'd travelled Kaze no kuni before and with a smirk on my face I continued to move- It wouldn't be long until the both of us would make it to the border.

And here the two soon came to the border itself that would lead me towards my own country after some travelling. As the deserts soon gave way to smooth, familiar earth and not the grainy and irritating sand that we’d past travelled on, I felt much more at ease, and I knew that I was soon on my way back. Having stood by the side of the Kazekage previously, I’d then turn and walk onwards before him so that the two of us were spaced at roughly three meters. After that, facing him I’d bend ever so slightly and raise my hand to my mouth, giving him an air kiss with the same cheeky smirk on my face; ”I’ll be seeing you.” and it was then that the both of us would part, and I’d have been left alone to travel the rest of the way, not that I had a problem with that. In fact, I’d been waiting for a moment for myself so that I didn’t have to think about the people around me, and as I now made my way across the terrain with speed as I broke in to a run, a much faster speed than the one I’d been travelling at whilst moving with the Kazekage himself.

And now I saw trees and plants moving around me turning in to some blurr- It reminded me so much of my days where Kusagakure had been inaccessible where I’d had to travel across the place. It felt wrong to move on to the side of another village whilst my own was considered as dead, and so I travelled to my hearts content, making my way across the countries. I’d probably visited almost each corner of the shinobi world in my lifetime and I was sure that I had much more exploring to do as time went on. ”…….” My blonde hair was reduced to a flying blur as I ran through the greenery, fortunately for myself not tanging in the trees and the branches that I’d passed. The forest soon broke out to a clearing, and the morning sun hit my face immediately, highlighting my baby blue eyes as they looked up at the sky before then looking back at where I was headed to. It wouldn’t be long now, maybe an hour or so before I reached the village.

And so, time would pass on and on and I wouldn’t really notice it. Not due to the fact that I was having fun but running, I didn’t really have any sense of time awareness as everything stood still as I moved, a blur of greens around my eyes as I just kept going forwards, my mind guiding me through the forests as I soon hoped to touch ground in Kusa no kuni where I could finally return back to my office and more importantly, my home. Continuing to weave my way around the trees, I was sure that I was close.

Having finally touched down on home turf, I relished in looking at the familiar species of trees and plants that grew wild in the area, grinning as my feet continued to rush against the ground. Back in Kusa no Kuni, I counted down the minutes until I'd see my own gates rearing up to welcome me back. My travels in Sunagakure had been interesting to say the least, and I had returned with another ally added on Kusa no Kuni's belt, but more importantly, another move had been played and I stepped onwards to claim my actions- It was all going perfectly.
