It was a pretty boring day, which was something Usio was thankful for. Days that were interesting could fall on either the good or bad spectrum, so he very much preferred normalcy to anything else. Having just finished tilling some land and taking care of the farm, he was out walking. Pondering the idea of stopping for lunch, he only just overheard his family name being spoken by a group of men. "Goddamn Yamamotos. Make me sick. We should just run the whole lot out of town." Typical idiots spouting off nonsense that they wouldn't actually do. Wonderful. Still, this was likely tied to Roji, and his immediate family was being lumped in with him. If there was going to be any hope for the man to start doing good, he needed to get the public in a state to accept them.
Approaching the group, he made his presence known. "Excuse me, gentlemen. I'd like to talk to you about the Yamamotos." They all looked him over, and the one closest to him immediately started mouthing off. "Speak of the devil. The boy of the family himself." Huh. Seems like he was actually known to some people. "Why don't you do us all a favor and scram, kid? I mean real far. Take the whole lot of your worthless family with ya. Say, to Suna, or Kiri. Or anywhere. Just leave our village." The man spoke with a sneer, getting his friends to laugh. He turned back to his table, the jeers not halting in the least. Our village? What a presumptuous lot. Still, it was incredible aggravating. Usio's mind raced for some kind of comeback, and when he settled on one, he looked down at the man.
Down? He was bent over backwards, his hair clutched within Usio's fingers. When his elbow slammed down into the man's face, it became readily apparent that he didn't know how to deal with stress.
Shit. The day just got a lot more interesting.
