Body Shot:[/u] Morio can almost always be seen with a cheeky grin on his face. As sincere and friendly that a smile may be, it is simply a lie to blend in with society. If one were to simply catch Morio’s face, they would see deep ravines and round hills, strange formations carved and shaped by his big-boned Akimichi blood. The craters that are present on Morio’s face are not the outcome of abuse or malnourishment, but the severity of his facial structure. Morio, at first glance, is not one who could be labeled as a friendly fellow despite his lacksidasical smile and somewhat unaware-of-reality expression. The shadows that traces lines on his molded faced bring out the true monster that is Morio Heiwajima, hiding behind lies of smiles and laughter.
Regardless of the fact that Morio is two meters tall and easily outweighs the average ninja, it is not to be his disadvantage. After years of living around those influenced by the Akimichi clan's thick blood taught Morio to acknowledge what he had been given. A gift in his eyes would be vulgar in that of others: his excessive weight could easily turn the tide in combat as well as prove to be a vital asset later on. Morio does not have the typical gut of the Akimichi clan, but the fat on his stomach does push out against his t-shirt a considerable degree, enough that from a short distance a shinobi can tell that the folds of his shirt are straining against his belly. Regardless of this Morio is rather quick and agile, something that seems to defy his massive build.
With his effort to blend in he has "placed" his fat in various locations. Several areas on his body are already pushing against the cloth, so Morio often adds to it to make it look natural for an Akimichi. While some might look at Morio's arms as being flabby, they are quite compacted of numerous muscle fibers, hidden by the thick layering of fat. If one were to look closely enough the definition of the bulging biceps would be apparent.
Morio's torso is not something he boats about openly. He does have what some could consider pecs but not to large degree. Accustomed to his size, Morio sports a rather wide, tapering back accompanied by rough, tempered shoulders. Not clearly seen with his shirt on, Morio's back is has a very deep ravine down his spine, primarily due to his excessive weight. One could easily view his protruding shoulder blades from a few meters away.
Morio adorns what some might call a rather unique or strange hair style. His hair is jet-black, as well as being very fine. Morio often has two very thick dreadlocks in front of his face, reaching down to his neck, while a third extends from the base of his neck. Morio naturally has very curly hair, almost to an annoying degree, so he usually leaves it unkempt. Looking at his crown a noticeable difference between the controlled dreadlocks and the wild curls can be seen.
Apparel:[/u] Morio almost always wears dark green ankle-length cargo pants held up by a thick leather belt with a rectangular belt buckle; the buckle further emphasizes his chubbiness. He wears beige boots, though when occasions call for it he will wear blue sandals. His starter pouch is on his left thigh and white regulation tactical gloves cover his hands. He wears a white t-shirt underneath underneath a red with yellow-border poncho that covers the middle of this shoulder and three-fourths of his stomach. The headband of his village hangs from his neck on a cream-colored length of silk.
Blemishes & Scars:[/u] Upon Morio's left check, around the center, are three inch-thick black bars that stretch about three inches. These three thick bars are a reminder of getting outsmarted by one of his victim's, who used some odd ink substance to etch the symbol as a reminder. Don't mess up again, or the ANBU may find you.
As well, on his left and right legs, five thin slash marks are present. If one looks closely enough, they would find the slash marks to be scabbed and rather large. These wounds were caused from experimenting with a very sharp razor and dropping it. The instrument gouged deep into his skin, removing many layers. The scab lines are ever present to remind himself of how careful he must be, not only for his own safety, but for his victims as well.
Personality:[/u] Since childhood, Morio has felt homicidal urges directed by an inner voice he calls the Rider; when that voice can no longer be ignored, he lets the Rider do the driving. Morio considers himself emotionally divorced from the rest of humanity; he often refers to "humans" as if he is not one himself. He makes frequent references to an internal feeling of emptiness and often says he kills to feel alive. He claims to have no feelings or conscience, and that all of his emotional responses are part of a well-rehearsed act to conceal who — or what — he really is. He has no interest in romance or sex.
Paradoxically, Morio likes children, finding them to be much more interesting than their parents. This affinity causes Morio to be particularly wrathful when his victims prey on children.
Animals don't like Morio, which can cause noise problems when he stalks a victim who has pets. He once owned a cat that hissed and bit at him until he was forced to get rid of it and a turtle that hid from him in its shell until it died of starvation.
Morio occasionally behaves in a way that suggests that he does feel some rudimentary human connection. He acknowledges loyalty to family, particularly to his late adoptive mother, saying, "If I were capable of love, how I would Nakiami." Morio's only family is his sister, Nakimai - his adoptive parents' biological daughter. Morio admits that he cannot hurt Nakiami or allow anyone to harm her because Morioi is fond of her. Morio's human connections evolve even deeper in the sense that, even though he considers himself a monster Morio is shocked by the evil of some people.
Morio will often play along and return flirting comments to a plethora of women, but not really meaning anything admittedly. He is also very playful and sarcastic to given real threats. Although friendly and mild mannered, Morio is awkward and his speech is stilted. He refrains from flirting unless it's impossible to avoid, and is pretty bad at it.
Morio wishes he were a hero and fantasizes that people would see him that way. But his inner-talk seems to indicate that he believes he is inherantly damaged, an evil monster, and someone that no one would understand or befriend if they knew his reality. Morio doesn't believe that what he is doing is actually wrong and so his intellect tells him that, even if he could feel guilt he would have no need to do so. He hides what he does not out of guilt but only, as he was trained, to not get caught so that he can continue.
He can't last for too long without being willed to commit another murder by his dark thoughts, the embodiment of the Rider. The only thing that keeps him going is the thrill of the kill and his misguided morals that induce this need to kill. Although he admits to needing his monthly kill, Morio's day-to-day routine is far less stimulating and serene than that of most sociopaths--who are out in bars, strip clubs, the boxing ring, etc.
On a daily basis since his first lesson with his mother, Morio has been lying to everyone he knows by pretending to respond with emotion or interest. Before Nakiami taught Morio how to pretend and lie, Morio was surprisingly honest. He readily admitted his actions and dark fantasies to his older sister. He also tends to be as honest as possible in daily life.
Although Morio manipulates situations, to protect himself, he doesn't tend to manipulate people as a general power play, or just to elicit devotion and emotion from them, as most sociopaths do.
Morio rarely shows any, if at all, true emotion, always staying creepily calm, never getting excited (with the exception of killing), and is unable to cry. Over the years of working in the investigation department, Morio has formed shallow friendships with his colleagues - Morio doesn't think that these relationships have much to them, however he does obviously take them into consideration and respects them. He lives his life by a rigid code -- actions aren't motivated or coordinated by his own conscience, but by what he thinks is correct from his childhood learning. Morio's inability to know when and how to turn on the water works separates him from some of his counterparts.
Morio shows no remorse for his victims. This is most likely because they show no remorse for their victims (who are innocent, as far as he is concerned). He shows empathy for his victims' victims
Morio consistently has trouble understanding human emotions, and claims not to feel them. When he does appear to have emotions, he seems to have trouble even recognizing them. It is also difficult for him to fake emotions. And he rarely even shows anger internally.
Although he commits immoral crimes or transgressions, he often seems to be sincerely upset by murder that is "undeserved" and other transgressions that most people would consider unfair.
Allegiance:[/u] Morio has no true allegiances to any but himself. He will often fake friendships and feelings, but most of the time Morio will fight and defend for himself alone.
Alignment:[/u] Lawful Evil
Quirks & Tendencies:[/u] Morio has a homicidal urge which often pushes him to eliminate those he sees as criminals. However, Morio learned from his elder sister to never hurt those who were innocent, instead only eliminating people who committed crimes that went against the morality code, such as killing children.
