Kasumi has always been thought of as beautiful, with males of all ages often stopping and staring so as to take in the radiance that she exudes. Her hair and eyes have been the same since birth; a deep reddish orange and a light sky blue respectively -- though her hair has gotten much longer over the years, of course. Though the colors clash somewhat, they are quick to capture the attention of those who bear witness to them, and are a quickly acquired taste in the aesthetic sense. People often comment on the single clip she wears in her hair, saying that it makes the frame around her face all the more beautiful.
Kasumi has always been fit and athletic, mostly because both of her parents were ninja in their younger days. She is medium height at 5'5" and maintains a healthy weight of around 114 lbs. -- naturally it fluctuates slightly, though most of it is pure muscle due to her training. Her legs create the illusion of significant height, being as long as they are, and her thin frame adds to the sight. Though she is incredibly strong and muscular, her body is not rippling and bulky. Instead, she has managed to retain her feminine curves, something she is thankful for, and often enjoys when people mistake her for being weak because of them.
Her skin is light and holds some patches of red that blend in well and look as if they belong due to the color of her hair. Her skin is mostly clear and free of any type of blemish, save for several freckles located on various parts of her body and a single scar on her left leg, left by a kunai that had embedded into her leg when she was much younger. It is just above the knee, so she often covers it up so that people don't see it because as little as it is, she is still self-conscious about it. It being there was part of the reason that Kasumi waited until she was almost 16 to join Kusa's Ninja Academy, though her parents' fear was the main reason.
Apparel;
Kasumi's outfit since graduating Kusa's Ninja Academy is somewhat simple and follows the "less is more" ideology. She wears her headband around her forehead, tied with black cloth that is mostly concealed by her flowing locks of hair, and uses a yellow clip to pull part of her hair to the side, so as to frame her face and show her headband to the world. The clip matches the yukata that she wears as the main part of her outfit, which is much shorter than your average, everyday yukata, as it comes to just below her hips. A black obi wraps around her midsection, to which her two beige item pouches are attached and secured, always stocked.
Beneath the yukata she wears black short shorts that conform to the small portion of her thighs that they cover. Below, she wears black sandals that rise up to the middle of her thigh, covering a great deal of her long legs. The sandals are heeled, adding about an inch and a half to her height, making her look even taller still. They cover the scar on her leg well, but she still wears a single bandage wrap around the scar, beneath the material of the sandal, to make sure nobody ever sees it.
The combination of the black, yellow, red and blue is something that she worked hard on to come up with. Because her eyes and hair are so opposite, it was difficult for her to come up with a clothing pattern and color scheme that she was comfortable with and happy to wear. But with the help of her incredibly stylish mother, she found that the opposite of the black and yellow worked well with the difference in her hair and eyes, and thus, her outfit was born. Together, they also incorporated the item pouches into her obi, concluding the the beige was a nice compliment to the yellow and contrast to the black.

Having been forced to flee her home with her family to escape a group of people that wanted her mother dead due to the various things she had needed to do during her time as a ninja, Kasumi has grown up being somewhat paranoid and, at the same time, determined to be strong enough to protect those that she cares about. She is slow to trust and often quite snarky and aggressive in an effort to keep people from being able to get too close to her, and a great deal of her time is spent looking over her shoulder. However, when she considers someone a friend, or further more, family, it is usually for life, with betrayal being the only blade capable of severing the tie.
On the opposite end though, she can be very handsy, especially when it comes to the opposite sex. She sees herself as a strong, independent woman that does not need to conform to gender roles that some people seem to honor above all else. When she sees something, or even someone, she is shameless and determined in her approach at attaining it, or him. That doesn't mean that she won't take no for an answer, though. Most of the time she is very respectful and ok with being told no, and will back of when it is made clear that she is not an object of interest. With this sort of approach though, she is seen as loose and easy, but contrary to popular belief, she is hoping to find something worthwhile and meaningful.
Over all, she is an incredibly kind and warm person when her outer defenses are let down. She is a hard working young woman, and she values friendship and people's happiness above all else. Though sometimes her intentions are hidden by her means and actions, she wants nothing but the best for others, as well as herself. In some ways, she's like a big kid. After all, being on the run and developing her mind, body and skills for most of her younger years denied her the opportunity to actually experience childhood. Some people say that she's just getting around to letting her inner child out for the first time in a long time. Others say that because she never truly got to be a young girl that experienced growing up, she'll be something of a young spirit forever.
