ζ— Name; Goryō (lit. 御霊 "Honorable Spirit"), Tenzō (lit. 天造 "Heavenly Creation")
ζ— Aliases;
- Aoandō (青行燈)
Literally meaning "Blue Andon", this childhood nickname was known to few, and serves as an effective designation amongst those whom he does not wish to recognize his heritage. It is based off of the demonic creature of myth, who appeared during a 'game' meant to invoke the spiritual world in a specially designed room, where healers and priests conducted official meetings, popular in Amegakure during his childhood. The candles in the room during these meetings were often placed in blue-paper andon lamps in order to create an eerie atmosphere, hence the creature's name, and as a young man, he often used his abilities to influence the movements of the paper lamps, terrifying the other children and even some adults. The original creature appears as a human with a blue complexion and twin horns from its brow, and sharp teeth, an image which has become Goryō's calling card.

ζ— Unusual Markings; "DEATH" tatoo, fingers (both hands), Stylized target, back of hands. Dark markings around the eyes.
ζ— Outfit; He dresses in a simple manner. His standard attire; a large black overcoat and black hakama with dark gray tabi and straw sandals, expensively designed and simple in its rich refinement. The outfit is usually held together with black rope. His shinobi hitai-ite, un-slashed, is usually not worn at all, though it is still kept on his person. Though not one to often 'relax', he does change moods occasionally, and has developed a 'casual' style still accentuated with the ever-present black coloration of his Tenzō Heritage. Coats, jackets, and cloaks define him; their ability to conceal and the unspoken nature of such garments which are meant to suggest that more lay hidden beneath the surface of the man who wears them then what meets the eye.

ζ— Physical; He is incredibly tall and solidly made. He has a muscular build of elongated limbs stretched taut and muscular over a rigid frame. His face is serious and solemn, solidly made, like a chip of slate along the river's edge. His face is narrowed and handsome. Short black hair, messy and unkept, with several piercings in his right ear. His eyes are thin and reflect disinterest constantly, even in the midst of battle. He has little facial hair, smooth skin, and a small nose and mouth ending in a pointed chin. His features are often obscured beneath the darkened outlines of each of his eyes, a trait once attributed to being perpetually exhausted. His hands are tatooed; an unknown target like simple on the back of each, and the word "death" written in classic lettering along each finger. He is not easily forgotten, if only because his angular features leave the vague impression of having been chiseled into solidity. The few faint expressions that can be read as the corners of his mouth move an atom's width in either direction to indicate amusement or disgust are almost a gift compared to the otherwise emotionless mask hiding even the thought of human feeling.

He is uncompromising and rarely overcome by any visible anger, an arrogant man with a touch of nobility whose temper will not override his own intellect dictating whichever actions will most benefit him reaching a goal. His determination and resilience, coupled with a mentality dedicated to the utter dominance of everyone else he encounters as positive characteristics, if it were not for their utter reliance on eradicating those he perceives as weaker than himself. He has a voracious curiosity, and is interested in a scattered plethora of subjects ranging from the forbidden knowledge hidden beneath the rain torn technological dystopia of his 'home', to the history of the shinobi lifestyle which intrigues him even as he desires more than petty betrayal and lies. These momentary obsessions are secondary to his desire to control his own destiny.
He will gladly forsake friendship, trust, and personal bonds for the sake of furthering his own power. He does not believe in altruism, kindness, or love, and has a habit for analyzing his own behavior to the point of justifying nearly any atrocity he may commit. He respects power and the unencumbered seeking of power, and has developed little respect for rules or boundaries he cannot be convinced to obey. He believes in loyalty, though only when that loyalty leads to allegiance with the ideals he wishes to embody.
Right and wrong are fantasies. There are only those with the power to make their will a reality, and those who serve the powerful. He has no patience for servitude. Murder is seen as a another tool of his profession, not as a disconnect from the metaphysical laws which govern the successful functioning of society, and he is above callously hurting others for no reason other than to amuse himself only because of his conceit. Through his eyes, he is better than those he is capable of hurting, and by that single principal does he make his decisions. He has no ability to empathize with others. He doesn't believe in empathy. There is only his own self righteous and uninhibited commitment to home, whether or not his own freedom to experience home restricts the rights of others.
It is almost not fair to call him evil. He is unhinged, yes; severe and dark and somehow terrifying without any real effort. But there is raw experience chiseled into his core and with each passing moment, he absorbs more of the world and examines and compares. It is not with disrespect that he moves silently across a world grown strange in his absence; he is almost oblivious to the normal passage of time. Within the mind of the man known as Goryō Tenzō, each second is such an overwhelming intensity of feeling, of knowing, that wise men would say it is a shame he rarely speaks. He would have words of beauty and horror. He would sound like a heartbeat, subtle, but vital and bizarrely alive. Each word would be a poem.
But it cannot be. He is a listener now, ravenous and sated. Empty. Consumed by the madness of crowds.
