While young, the non Ninja world imposes quite the frame of mind upon the individual it commands into battle and death. Fortunately, the negative stereotype doesn’t stand well within the mind of the abandoned Ninso, Eikichi. A unique individual with a number of traits tailored to his own character comprises a personality quite inimitable to himself.
Eikichi, for being as disciplined as a Ninso, is quite the sociable butterfly. Never straying away from conversation that holds some importance or interest to him, the young warrior tends to speak a little too much. Expressive in both thoughts and words, Eikichi has a small problem withholding his words back, and while they could come off as invasive to some, he truly believes he’s only doing what anyone should do; and that it to be honest. Neglecting any form of reticence for the most part, this trait alone forces the Mist Village native into situations that possibly could prove detrimental for him, but also promising. While a firm loyalist when it comes to his homeland of the Mist Village, the young man enjoys wandering just as much as his mind does. Having a slight and mild form of claustrophobia, he can’t be confined to the inner of his own home, having explored every inch of its province. The world is a huge place, and deserves to be reconnoitered and ventured; Eikichi feels he could do that without a doubt. This became one of the standing rationales for him joining Water Temple.
Such a variable and dominating component to his personality cannot be flouted. Eikichi has a near infinite famine for competition. Always finding ways to push his bodily and mental limitations to strengthen himself, the Ninso strays little from any challenge. The problematic circumstance that comes with this is that he could possibly bite off more than he can chew. Resilience of the mind and a near indomitable strength of will stimulate a pride that wouldn’t allow him to turn down any difficult trial. As much of an impetus as it a burden, Eikichi is quite the determined individual. When odds seemingly favor an opposition of any stature, the Battle Monk requires little to nothing to push himself to try and even the playing fields, if not dead right succeed. From sparring, to missions, training and even vital, life threatening bouts of skill and strength, the Temple’s strong will refuses to fail him. A young man without any mental limitations in most areas, it’s quite hard to force him to falter. This also plays on his inability to rationalize well, and one with strong opinions, it’s even harder to change his mind.
Beneath an outgoing, thick-headed persona, the core of his personality resolves around his keen mastery of both instinct and combat streamlining. His advancement in the Monk world, coupled with his own personal endeavors stem from his ability to focus at optimal efficiency when placed into a situation that requires such a demeanor. In battles, his mind runs a series of scenarios through his head, eliminating the most ineffective, and highlighting the more plausible routes to take. Beyond his battle aptitude, Eikichi also acts with a more primal and instinctive nature when forced into a corner, narrowing down to the singular core principle that all creatures equally indorse: the need to survive. Doing any and everything to sustain his own existence, Eikichi however won’t stray from helping others. “Those that break the rules and regulations are scum. But those who abandon their comrades are worse than scum!” No truer words have been spoken that impartially represent the moral standard of Murasakibara Eikichi. While a firm advocate in accomplishing the duties entitled to him as a Ninso, the young man couldn’t fathom risking the safety and security of his comrades. Placing himself in a position to protect those he cherishes before ever sacrificing the life of his fellow friends and allies, Eikichi would take the impertinence from his village before ever taking the title as “Hero” at the expense of others.
