Headband: His headband of choice is stitched into black clothe. He binds it around his left upper arm most times, mainly so it doesn't block out the tattoo. Though he wears it, he finds it simple and boring, not at all fashionable.
Undershirt: Underneath his jacket, he will don a tight undershirt. This shirt fits to his body, allowing a wide range of movement and flexibility, but not presenting many grappling points for close combat. The shirt is usually some shade of gray. The short sleeves end before the elbow and are tight to the upper arm, matching how it just barely reaches his waist and fits tight.
Jacket: This black jacket is also rather tight to the body, fitting close to his thin limbs. Sewed of dark clothe, the jacket helps repel some water and features a detachable cowl. The jacket has two pockets, one on each jacket flap. The jacket has a single shiny steel zipper that goes all the way up to his collar, though he doesn't always zip it up all the way, mostly out of laziness.
Pants: These pants are tight, yet a bit fashionable, made of smooth black clothe. While seeming confining by appearance, they let a remarkable amount of movement and flexibility, perfect for the active ninja that want's to look good while working. Around the bottom of the pant's leg they are more lose, encase the wearer would like to wear boots or shoes like hi-tops.
Shoes: He has two pairs of shoes; one for leisure, the other for when he has to be ninja. The first pair is a comfortable pair of hi-top sneakers. They are black, with white toes, laces, and stitching. The bottom is ridged for traction and the hi-top allows for great heel and ankle support. His pair for ninja activities are boots, reaching to just below the calf muscle. They are rather similar to the hi-tops, but with a steel zipper instead of laces. They are colored black and gray and feature open toes like most sandals.- GENERAL APPEARANCE ; Nagato doesn't really look like a soldier or a ninja from the outside. He is thin and kind of unassuming, with soft pale skin. However, he has strong, lean muscles, that have been built slim to his body. If one were to touch said muscles, they would feel something akin to marble, which is hardest around his calves, abs, and upper arms. This body is built for running and stamina, not brute force and power. His hair is pure white and spikes slightly. It is very long, as Nagato let's it grow out longer and longer has he ages. If one were to see Nagato day after day they would notice his eyes change color. If it is sunny and clear, they are a bright, striking blue. If it is cloudy or dark outside, they take on a dark, stormy and intimidating gray.
- OTHER ; Not surprisingly, Nagato's most distinguishing feature is his white hair. He's had it since childhood, and it's a completely natural color, free of dies and such. Strangely, both of his parents had white, curly hair, as compared to his white, straight hair. Nagato likes to take care of it, cleaning it so it has a nice, soft silky touch. Another distinguishing feature is Nagato's tattoo, which is a blood red color. It appears as a crude five underneath his left eye, goes over the eyelid, and becomes an inverted pentagram above. Nagato got it to honor his family and to cover an old scar he obtained in early childhood.
COGNITION
- PERSONALITY ;
Nagato leads a life of endurance; a natural born survivor, he adapts easily to most situations as they come and handling near anything despite the circumstances. This aspect of personality is a great thing for ninja to possess, for their jobs often put them on the front lines against highly-dangerous foes. Despite this, Nagato is still a rather laid-back and fun loving individual; he is almost always seen with a light grin, and enjoys many activities like sports, smoking cigars, and reading. He is sociable and enjoys the company of others, and is known to be rather humorous. Like many of his clan, Nagato is rather patriotic and has a strong sense of nationalism in his country and lord, the Raikage, and wishes to someday protect the Mizukage's life, and possibly even take the position for himself as the herald of his grand nation.
Friends come easily to Nagato, with his open and charismatic approach to peoples of all kinds, ally, rival, or otherwise. Relationships are easily made with jokes and wit, He values the lives and relationships of all his friends, despite how long he's known them, their abilities, and their origin. Because of this, he is as likely to make a friend out of a ninja of Kumogakure no Sato as he is to make one of Kirigakure no Sato. Nagato is also very blunt, a trait that often opens as well as closes doors for him. He never likes to bullshit or skirt around what he's trying to say or say, because he simply does not like that happening to him. He can seem a bit unemotional because of this, but the truth is that he does care genuinely for all. Nagato is a natural flirt, hitting on quite possibly every attractive woman similar to his age, and receiving mixed results. He is usually good with the ladies and has had quite a few relationships in the past, though he rather enjoys and freedom of being single.
Nagato has a competitive, never-back-down approach to life as well. Defiant to the end, he will never quit, no matter the odds or forces against him. He can be seen as reckless for this reason, charging into combat in an almost foolhardy manner. And yet it only seems like that, for Nagato is ever planning and plotting. This also makes him seem very confident, or extremely overconfident. The truth is, Nagato trusts himself and his abilities, but also knows his limits. In truth, he is actually not that overconfident, just prepared and ready to face anything, whether it be superior, inferior to him, or on his level. It must be stressed, that because of his raising and want to gain the respect and admiration that his father before him had, Nagato will never, ever back down. After being knocked down, he will simply raise to be either beaten again or take the upper-hand in the fight. For this reason, he can be inspiring to his allies, often leading them straight into the midst of combat in high-risk and often suicidal charges.
Nagato's defiance can also be a hindrance. His flippant actions can be seen as disrespectful by those who do not personally know or understand him. He enjoys pissing people off just as much as he likes pleasing people, using verbal taunts and gestures. An action almost characteristic of him is “flicking off” or sticking up his middle finger in an archaic “fuck you” gesture. Heavy sarcasm is also rather characteristic of him when fighting superior foes, so they slip up more and do not notice their mistakes. Nagato himself is rather chill in most situations and prides himself in his ability not to be ticked off. Keeping his cool in a fight allows him to better combat situations and peoples. When Nagato does get angered, be prepared, because shit just got real.- ALIGNMENT ; Chaotic Good.
