— Appearance;
Yusuke is neither stocky nor too thin, and he possesses a lean build. In general, his appearance isn't particularly distinguishable nor memorable and he's the sort of person that can quite easy fit into any crowd without really being noticed. For a shinobi, it's a good trait to not be noticeable, unfortunately it comes with the problem that new people he meet often don't remember him.
Those that do know him though, can probably easily spot him by virtue of his body posture and stance. Yusuke is almost always slouching or relaxing in some way. He certainly doesn't appear alert or wakeful, and his gait is also distinctive in that he has a tendency to hobble, almost like a penguin.
The other thing that's noticeable about Yusuke is his eyes. On a good day, they are like large hopeful orbs, but they can quickly sour into a piercing judgemental stare. For him, eye contact is important - if the eyes are the windows to a person's soul, then he spends a lot of time peering into other people's windows.
✘| aspect;
— cognition;
Realist - Yusuke has never been a fan of the whole optimist/pessimist dichotomy. As far as he's concerned, people of those types were both idealists in the sense that their understanding of the world was Unreal. They were radical constructions that had no bearing on reality. Reality thrived on dialectics, on contradictions, on opposing forces. The world was both beautiful and terrible, it was uncaring yet at the same time gentle. People were brilliant, with untapped potential and at the same time, they were foolish, disgusting, corrupt. For Yusuke, these contradictory elements, these simultaneously existing truths were part of what made life real, complex and interesting. He had no desire to look through the lens of ideology, his only interest was in that truth-in-itself - in reality.
Lazy - Getting up in the morning was hard, but what was really hard was doing something once one had gotten up. He liked sleeping, he liked lazying around, he didn't mind being boring, or dull, or having a pointless existence, because for Yusuke, there was something inherently pure about the idea of doing nothing at all. Of just sitting there, not even thinking of anything, and of not moving a muscle. Of course, he wasn't an idiot. When things had to be done, there was no choice but to do them, and he would never compromise important issues simply because they took effort. Still, it doesn't stop him from complaining about how troublesome things are.
Snarker - Yusuke is a deadpan snarker. He is sarcastic at least some of the time, if not most of the time. It wasn't just a particular type of humour, it kind of became a habit, even a way of life. It was a way of judging people and pointing out their flaws or inconsistencies - and humour was simply a device for doing so. Naturally, this has made Yusuke a bit of a marmite-type person, with a great deal of people either hating him or loving him for his attitude.
Critical Thinker - Some people were great logicians, some were very creative and then there are those who just like to point out the flaws and bring other people's plans tumbling. Yusuke was a critical thinker - literally (as opposed to that meaningless phrase often thrown around in education), and what he enjoyed doing was critiquing and de-constructing the ideas of others. Sure, he was capable of, and indeed forced to come up with his own plans in battle, but often enough it was good enough to just think ahead and wrench apart the opponent's. In Yusuke's opinion, nobody really had to be truly excellent to succeed, whether in life or in a fight, they just had to rely on other people failing.
