Description: With Amegakure getting back on its feet, its ninja academy has officially re-opened. With that, you're to go to the academy as a special guest and either teach a class at explain and teach a technique of your choosing or offer them advice on survival in Amegakure and the world outside.

“Ichi Please repot to the main training field.”

A voice would come from the speaker just above me as I sat in the main office; I would look up to the woman standing behind the desk providing her with a slight smile as I rose from my seat. As I made my exit from the main office I would make take the first left heading down one of the main hallways, as I examined the building I admired it’s freshly remodeled look. It was much better than the ones that were in the leaf, it had seemed that Amegakure was much further along in the technological field than leaf. ‘I like this.’ I thought to myself as I placed my hands into my pocket, I would take the next left as the training field doors were up ahead of me. As I got close to the door somewhat of a marriage would appear ahead of me, it had seemed to shimmer its way into the room.

“Ranshi, you know you’re just living a lie here. You need to come back to your big brother, and follow in my footsteps because that’s all you were meant to do.”

As the marriage would begin to speak I would just keep my attention on the doors, It was starting to become tiresome the constant thought of my brother was getting on my nerves. I would walk through the image as if it wasn’t even there, as the doors slide open I would walk out onto the training field. It had been a couple of students out training with people; I wasn’t sure which one I was going to be training. I would stop for a second as I looked around the field at all of the kids, I wasn’t sure which one I would be teaching but I had hopped it hadn’t been some little asshole.

“Ichi? Yeah yeah yeah that’s you.. I know it’s you. Come with me Yui will be here in a second you guys will be giving group secession today. It will be a group of 3 kids, teach them whatever you want.”

I would follow behind the lady; she would lead me through the training field all the way over to what seemed like the corner of it. My hand would make its way towards the back of my head as we approached what had seemed to be my group, it had been two boys and one girl. All three of them were sitting there as if they didn’t have anything to do, ‘I guess they are bored.’ I thought to myself as we halted in front the small group, the lady would take a couple steps in front of me as she would address the kids.

“Ok, this is your Sensei Ichi. He will be teaching you guys a new Jutsu today.. “

As she spoke I would take the hand from the back of my head as I wave to the children.

“Hey guys, we will start when Yui gets here.”

I would say as I would look around for a second wondering where my partner had been.

When Yui had been told of her mission to the academy to teach the up and comers of the village she had accepted with enthusiasm. Most missions had been tedious running about and helping the village, necessary but altogether dull. Teaching children on the other hand was something Yui enjoyed with a passion that nearly bordered creepy fanaticism. Yui held education and knowledge as the highest principles for a village to uphold. While she herself had been a wandering shinobi for a few years before finding her way to Ame, she had attributed much of her success to the very skills and fundamentals she learned from the teachers she had early in life. Her mother. The teachers at the academy. Hell, even her father had played a role in her education having left her a few training scrolls of his own design.

Once she had made her way to the academy she was informed of her early arrival and offered a seat in the lobby to wait about. Obviously this did not bode well with the girl who came here to stave off boredom. So with a polite nod she agreed and walked towards the seat, but as soon as eyes were turned away from her she made a subtle exit into the sterile hallways and began wandering around freely looking for something to do. It wouldn't be long before the white lights on the ceiling began to annoy her and stress her out and so she ducked into a dark room she had thought to be vacant.

Darkness. It was her ally at all times, and the ally of most ninja. But where some ninja adopted the shadows, the shadows had adopted Yui and molded her as a child of shadow. She moved easily through the dark room and finding a small lamp switched it on to reveal the odd scuffling she heard in the opposite side of the room. A gathering of three shinobi now crouched against the opposite wall looking back at her with confusion. They seemed a little old to be in the academy. She held a brief conversation with them and got to know them after calming them down and promising not to get them into trouble. As it turned out they were indeed students of the academy that had failed time and time again to graduate. Their spirit's broken from such constant defeat, they had taken to going to the academy only to hide out in vacated rooms and skip their actual classes.

"Tenzo, Yui. I don't know where you've gone to, but you're needed out on the main training field. Your partner Uchiha Ranshi is already out there and most likely waiting."

The voice was cold and metallic from the PA system, but it had a simple truth that Yui had come here to do a job. "Alright you three, no more skipping classes. You keep this shit up and you're never going to graduate. You're going to come learn at the feet of some real ninja, not these fools and their theories. Come on!" She ran for the door and exited, and though the students followed her to the door they did not follow her outside and merely stood in single file line looking out with depressed faces. "I SAID OUT!"

Two hand seals and a few minutes later Yui came sprinting out of the building towards the training field. She quickly spotted Ichi and sped towards him, followed by three students that should not have been able to physically keep up with her. They ran in single file order and in unison with her, almost like a high speed march. It wasn't until all four of them came to a sliding halt before the class that her shadow snapped away from their own shadows causing them to collapse breathing heavily. As they struggled to inhale enough oxygen to make their muscles stop hurting Yui walked up to Ichi and patted him on the shoulder. "So how come you didn't bother mentioning you were an Uchiha? Huh?"

“Hmmm?”

I would say as I felt someone hand touch my shoulder, as I looked over my shoulder I would notice that it was Yui. I would look slightly pass her just to the students that had seemed to be following her, as she spoke I slight feeling of shock would cross my mind as she inquired about my heritage. As my attention shifted back to her my eyebrow would raise slightly up, I didn’t remember telling anyone of my heritage since I had been here. ‘Ji.’ I thought to myself for a second, ‘I guess he registered me under my mothers sir name’.

“Well…… You see you didn’t ask.”

I would say as I’d let out a slight laugh before I turned back towards the students that I was assigned to, I would take a few steps towards them as I placed my hands in my pocket.

“Yui, bring ya kids over here.”

I’d say as I attempted to skip the subject for now I figured that I’d let her know a little more about it a later time, I knew we had other obligations right now which were the kids. Once Yui and my group meshed I would start to think of what we should teach them, I would begin to rub my chin for a second until I snapped my fingers.


“Yui I say we teach the Bunshin no Jutsu, shouldn’t be too hard for them to grasp.”

I would say as I turned to Yui.

“HEY DON’T TRY TO TAKE IT EASY ON US, I WANT TO LEARN SOMETHING POWERFUL…..WHAT USE COULD IT POSSIBLE BE TO ME AS A NINJA!”

A loud kids voice would break the slight silence that would have been in the air, it had seemed one of the kids that had been a part of my group had been a bad ass. I would laugh slightly as I turned my attention to the kid, I would smile before adjusting my hands to the center of my chest. I would begin to flip through only a few seals as a poof of smoke would appear beside me, as the smoke cleared a carbon copy of myself was revealed.

“This type of clone right here could save your life one day, they are good means of distraction when used the right way. Now if you ask me any ninjutsu is as good as you make it.”


I would shift my attention to Yui as I finished my short speech.

“don’t ya think so Yui?”

"Now that's a cheap excuse if I've ever heard one." Yui said under her breath as she turned back to the kids behind her. "Right, you three fall in line with the rest of them and don't try to give me too much of a headache, or I'll give you one to match it!" She teased winking gleefully at them as they trudged into position. She felt a little bad about waring them out like that, but giving up had defeated them and forcing them to do some physical labor couldn't be the worst thing in the world for them.

Ichi took a moment to think about what sort of lesson they would teach and Yui watched the kids intently for any sort of mischief. One younger child seemed to be making fun of one of the three children she brought. Casually bringing her hands behind her back, she formed the two hand seals again her shadow weaving swiftly through the crowd ensnaring one of the children in the group. The child who was in truth being an ass hole received a swift smack to the back of the head. "Quiet and pay attention!" Yui snapped to the class and they seemed to straighten up in unison.

As Ichi explained the lesson they would be teaching that day a smile spread on Yui's features. Small and simple, but a perfect thing to learn for shinobi at their age. Even better to be taught by shinobi who were active in the field and had experience using these techniques to the absolute best of their abilities. It meant they would not only learn proper execution but proper use of the technique itself. When the student spoke back against Ichi she merely chuckled at his ignorance.

"Absolutely Ichi. But their kids. While I do love children, their naivety is stifling their growth. We'll have to show them the real difference between learning a technique, and mastering it." God damn it, she was doing it again. It wasn't intentional but she was picking up more and more on how often she spoke with her father's words. She bit her lip partly in frustration with herself partly in thought about how to go about teaching them the difference. "I suppose we should start with the basics though and just teach them the basic fundamentals of execution. Those of you who missed Ichi's demonstration pay attention to my hands. Those who know the sequence can practice on your own. Just remember you want a copy of yourself, so try to imagine yourselves standing beside yourselves as you do." With that Yui began forming the seals slowly so the students could pay attention and remember the sequence.

As Yui whipped the class back into shape as I was speaking I noticed that she had the ability to control the shadows, it had seemed that she had to have family that was from the hidden leaf. There weren’t to many people outside of the Nara clan that didn’t reign from the hidden leaf, I would make a mental note of it as she began to address the class. I would let Yui take the lead for a second as she addressed the kids on the true meaning of learning a technique; her words were ones of wisdom as I nodded my head as she spoke. Once she finished she began to slowly move through each zodiac sign that was required for the technique, though it was only 3 seals she made sure her signing was perfect.

I would step next to her as she graciously continued to funnel through the seals, each of the kids would stand to their feet as they were attempting to follow her directions. It had seemed that they had been grasping the sealing quite quickly, a slight smile would cross my face as I liked to see that I could teach kids younger than me what I know. It was one of those small things that made me feel like I’m leaving my mark on these kids, like they will never forget me or what I was teaching them. As all of the kids seemed to grasp the sealing concept from Yui I took upon myself to repeat a little of what Yui had stated earlier.

“Now guy’s all ya gotta do is picture yourself in your mind as you build up the Chakra to create your Bunshin, alright now follow my lead class.”

My hands would move slowly through the designated seals as I stood in front of the kids, once I was finished another cloud of smoke would appear next to me. As the smoke cleared another copy of myself would be beside me, my gaze would float across the class for a second to see if anyone had successfully got the technique. Each of the kids closed their eyes as they waved through the hand seals each of them moving at their own speed, as each of them finished their hand seals little clouds of smoke appear all in front of them. Most of the kids had seemed to have gotten except for the one that had the loudest mouth.

“Yeah look at you; I think you need to slow a little… I guess you were all talk.”

I would say to the kid slightly taunting him for a second, I wasn’t sure how Yui would feel about it but it didn’t matter. I always felt as though no one should be over confident in there ability’s they should always aim to show what they could actually do, instead talking up a crazy game.

Ichi had a way with teaching that Yui couldn't match and this was clear. She certainly had her way with words for inheriting her father's tongue, but when it came to respect and leadership she was hardly a figure that people looked up to. The students seemed to respect her out of fear for her ability to administer punishment and manipulation at will. But, they noticeably respected Ichi not out of fear but admiration. She was jealous and a tiny bit bitter over this, but it was something she had lived with her whole life. She had learned there was no use to getting upset over trivial things now.

She giggled at Ichi's tease that both humbled the student and put him back in his place. Part of her wanted to join in and emotionally kick the kid when he was down, but that would only demoralize the kid. She didn't want more students to wind up like the trio she had found playing hooky out of embarrassment and so she walked up to him. He took a precautionary step back, but she placed a comforting hand on his shoulder and smiled warmly. "You know what the problem is don't you?"

He shook his head in confusion saying, "No, sensei. I'm doing everything you say and picturing myself in my head. I'm doing all the seals perfectly but no matter how many times I try or how hard I focus... I just can't do it." He looked down at the ground and his body trembled with frustration and embarrassment. "Why can't I do this simple technique!?"

Yui pulled a fist knife out with one hand and using her other gently took hold of the boy's chin and made him look up at her. "It's because your ego is beyond you I'm afraid. Ego's a strength, but we can't get ahead of ourselves. You talk the talk because you think you're great but as Ichi said, you need to slow down. You can't run before you walk every time son. Here take a look." She held the flat of the knife up like a mirror reflecting the boy's appearance back at him. "You see? Still just a boy in the academy learning. Humble yourself, and in so doing your skills will catch up to that ego of yours." He looked on at the knife with wonder in his eyes as though seeing himself for the first time.

After a minute she stood up and turned to walk back beside Ichi before turning around and looking at him sternly. "Now try again, and don't disappoint us. Got it?" The boy nodded reaffirming his stance on the ground and carefully stringing through the seal. One seal. Two seal. Three seal. POOF! A puff of cloud would disperse and a perfect copy of himself stood looking back at him.

"See? You've got it. Keep practicing though and never forget, confidence is a blade in your hand arrogance a knife in your own back." She smiled warmly at the whole class before turning to Ichi and whispering, "My patience for these kids is almost up Ichi. I'm gonna get going. Finish this up please?" With that she began walking away but not before turning around once more and meeting the eyes of the trio she had found and lastly the boy who had difficulties and giving the a broad smile ans thumbs up.

“She’s certainly got away with words.”

I would say to myself as I watched from a distance as she coached the loud mouth kid, a smile would cross my face as I noticed that the boy was getting the hang of it. ‘I guess he wasn’t all talk.’ I thought to myself as a looked to the rest of the class, as Yui walked past me whispering a few words to me I would chuckle a little.

“Well guys, I think you’ve got it… Now before I go I wanna see you guys all perform the technique in unison.”

All of the kids would nod their head as I gave them their task, shortly after them a count off would begin as they all did there headseals in unison. A smile would cross my face as I watched; it was exciting to see the kids had grasped the concept so well. Shortly after they finished there seals a nice sized cloud of smoke would appear in front of me, I would begin to walk away as the smoke cleared while I waved my hand up in the air.

“Good job kids, remember don’t ever underestimate the power of anything you learn. Because everything you learn is only as powerful as you make it.”

As I walked away I would hear the kids chattering amongst each other about the technique they had just learned, a smile would cross my face as I jogged a little to catch up to Yui.

“That was cool, I didn’t know you were apart of the Nara clan.. looks like I wasn’t the only one hold secrets.”

I would say as I we made our way towards the exit.
