Battlefield Konoha: the Finale! [3]

With the gates, open and wide, all but welcoming the joint Kiri-Suna forces with open arms, there was little to stop the Legion from pouring into the city much like before. An all out war between the engaged forces erupted in the streets and rooftops, one that would rock the foundation of the Hidden Leaf like never before.

It had taken several long days for this event to come. Hopefully, Konohagakure had prepared well.

There will be a 48 hour IIC set in place for these threads. Interacting with the invading Kirigakure forces (NPCS) is at your discretion as the player. Feel free to kill 'em or whatever. Important events shall be NPC'd by myself.

It'd been so long since I'd actually stepped foot in Konohagakure.

I felt kinda shitty that our lil' "reunion" was bein' hosted by the invadin' Kirigakure forces, but it was what it was. I'd missed out on my chance for a bit of action in Bakudon Gai, but I didn't intend ta make tha same mistake twice. More so not this time, if any other. I could crush two birds with one stone - I'd make the Hyuuga take that fuckin' seal off of her forehead, and I'd prove my loyalty ta Kirigakure. Maybe then I wouldn't have ta fuckin' sleep outside tha village; she and I could finally be together.

That bein' said, I don't want any of ya thinkin' that I actually agreed with this whole war. I'd only caught tha tail end of the previous one, and I'll tell ya that it wasn't fun at all. But this? I was doin' this for love. Call me lame or whatever, but it's tha truth; there wasn't anything I wouldn't do for Miku, and if that meant sellin' my soul to her lunatic of a leader, than so be it. If she believe in him, then so would I.

I wasn't really sure if any of the people fightin' for leaf would remember me, but I didn't really care either. I mean, I was, at one time, one of their strongest shinobi - tha only jounin there was, I believe. So, I wouldn't have been surprised had they known who I was. If anything, it would've just given 'em a bit of a shock.

Not wantin' ta jump directly in the confrontation just yet, I took post at tha top of one of tha few remaining buildings in tha district. It was pretty high up, but not nearly as profound as tha Hokage's mansion--

My eyes cut in tha general direction, knowin' full well who'd just barked such a gruesome order. Again, it wasn't like I wanted to - hell, I really didn't even enjoy fightin' all that much - but I did have my orders. If I was goin' to show these kids that I had what it took ta be a Kiri-nin, I planned ta do it properly. So, with a heavy heart, my gloved left hand reached up ta wrap around Hebi's hilt; my left, clad in brilliant red iron, moving equally as reluctantly, gripped Suijin's at my waist.

Phase one was near completion.

Finally, Jubei began his campaign by removing himself from a neutral standing within this war by taking sides with Kouketsu all the power he and his forces entailed. Even though Jubei hadn't fully made peace with his methods, it was still something he could deal with, especially when it furthered his own selfish ambition to restore the fallen honor the Samurai once had. Needless to say that with Kouketsu's help, Jubei would achieve his ultimate plan, even if it meant cross that neutral boundary in the name of all samurai.

Hot on his heels in a full speed sprint along side a blended mixture of Sungakure and Kirigakure shinobi, he made his way up to the roof of a rather tall building, one of which brought him to the rear of a man standing about 5 meters to his front. He seemed ready for a fight, and from the looks of things, he was sided with Jubei and Kouketsu as well. Presuming so, he stepped to the mans side -5 meters to Akira's left-, offering a quick invitation to small talk before this city would become blood soaked by its own inhabitants.

"Things are finally turning for the better it seems. Hey, I've got an idea, whoever racks up more kills between you and I, loser buys the winner a nice cold drink? "

With his sick, but cordial proposition marching to the forefronts of the one sided conversation, a quick hand found itself upon the hilt of his Empath, feeling its essence as it ached to be free from its cage.

Narrative

The district was flooded with chaos and destruction, and the defending Leaf-nin were pushed back deeper into the city. Though their spirits still hadn't broken, it was clear that this was an uphill struggle.
