Awakening

The ninja world is filled with inevitable dangers that push shinobi to there very limits, then, and only then, are there true selves shown. Be it murder, rape, or war, A ninja must be mentally prepared to face these dangers and survive them. If this cannot be accomplished, if a shinobi finds themselves crumbling under the pressure of their surroundings, their mission could be jeopardized, and worst yet, they could be killed. It is the presence of these dangers that worry Wave. However, His fears are not for himself, but for his young friend Rukei. The kid was too innocent and pure for the shinobi world, and Wave held a strong confidence that Rukei would inevitably crack When faced with this worlds harshness. It was for this reason that he walked with the young man now. Wave had purposely plunged them into the depths of Kusagakure in a last ditch attempt to persuade the young boy from pursuing the shinobi way of life.

Wave had intentionally lied to young Rukei about the purpose of him being lead out this far into the outskirts of the village. The young boy had been told that this would be a simple training exercise and nothing else. Wave knew Rukei would jump at the chance to improve his talents, it was this very trait that made Wave doubt his concerns about the boy's path. However, Wave would not let these insecurities slide until Rukei realized he was not meant for this world. It was for his own good after all, a soft boy such as Rukei had no place being a soldier.

The crumbling buildings that had yet to be rebuilt stood around them as if they were being judged by gods. Wave would look toward them and beg for the willpower to carry out this atrocious act he was going to attempt. After all, it was these crumbling and decayed buildings themselves that would act as a testament to the dangers of the shinboi world. Soon, Wave would turn towards Rukei, and look at the boy with a revitalized determination.


" This is far enough..."

Wave would turn in front of the boy just a bit before slowly backing away from him. There was no time now to abandon his mission, he had  to show Rukei what a real shinobi would be like. Which would mean showing him just how much of a monster people like Wave really were.

"First off, I lied, This isn't going to be a run of the mill training exercise. As of now, I have managed to summon up enough determination to decide what I need to do exactly. That being said, here's what's going to go down. You.. Rukei.. are weak.. and you... no.. your kind do not belong in our world, in the shinobi world. So, with that being said, I have resolved to kill you."


Wave's eyes would show he spoke the truth, As they would fill with chakra, and the true vicious form of the Byakugan* would take form. These were no longer the eyes of a friend, but of a predator, and with any hope, Rukei would notice that and flee.

"However, with that being said, you can just as easily walk away from here if you give up being a shinobi and return to a peaceful life. The type of life a person like you, was made for."

‘Word training.’ Rukei thought to himself as he followed Wave away from the more developed side of Kusagakure, though the boy hadn’t known exactly where he was heading to he trusted the person that he was following. So he wouldn’t ask many questions as they began  they walked down what seemed like an endless path to nowhere, Rukei began to gain a curious eye as he noticed the buildings that had seemed to crumble under the weight of time. ‘I wonder what we’re doing here.’ He thought as he trailed a couple of meters behind wave. The young Uchiha hadn’t had any idea why Wave wanted to bring him this far away from town, but he figured it was all for training sake because Wave seemed like the type of person that wanted to help him better himself. 

As they proceeded into the distorted part of the city they would walk down a single street that had been seemingly clear of rubble. Though there were multiple collapsed buildings at his side, the boy would look around with a face full of ‘aww’. He had never seen this side of his village, it seemed like a place that he wasn’t supposed to be in. But his mind would quickly be pulled away from his thoughts at the sound of Waves’s voice, as the blue hair said that they had traveled far enough. Rukei’s left eyebrow would raise as he stopped dead in his tracks about 10 meters away from Wave’s position, ‘now what’s going on here.’ he thought as the wind picked up slightly blowing the boy’s hair around. As Wave continued to speak Rukei facial expression hadn’t done anything other than twist, he would go from his normal smile to an more plain look on his face. 

As Wave finished out his short lived speech Rukei would have been staring directly at him as the veins on the side of his head began to bulge, 'eww.’ he thought for a moment though he didn’t let it be seen on his face, he could tell that Wave had brought him out for a fight. Though he wasn’t to sure about the harsh words that he had chosen to describe him, Rukei knew he hadn’t been any of those words which kind of upset him. 'I guess I gotta show him who I am.’ The boy thought to himself as he slide his feet shoulder width apart as the blue haired boy began to speak once again, Rukei wouldn’t move much though he’d let his hand slide into his pouch during the boy’s final words.

“I’m not running anywhere.”

" Wrong answer."

There were only 10 short meters separating Rukei from Wave, and soon that distance would be reduced to nothing. Before proceeding in the fight Wave would remove his headphones from his head and proceed to toss them towards Rukei. Hoping that the boy would be distracted by the headphones that were launched at him, Wave rush towards his friend at abnormal speeds.¹ The instant Wave had appeared just in front of Rukei the Hyuga would launch a strong right jab into Rukei's abdomen. There was no doubt the boy would be shocked by the sudden  start of the fight, but wave would have to be ruthless and Rukei would have been launched a 3 feet from wave's current position where he would find the Hyuuga's stance bent into the Gentle fist's starting position. There was no point in holding back any more.

Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique)

Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic ninjutsu technique used across the shinobi world by all, ranging from the most basic shinobi to the legends of lore. Considered is a high-speed movement technique - to an observer caught in the optical illusion, it appears as if the user has teleported. This allows the user to escape or attack suddenly, should they need to. However, while a high-speed movement, if used in broad daylight, one will still be quite visible and as such, easier to be defended against. In order to achieve maximum effect, the user must to combine it with a distraction.

Note: Despite popular belief, this is not an ability that allows an individual to teleport, or even move incomprehensibly fast. It simply combines high mobility with some disruption of visibility to conceal those movements. That in mind, if you can conceal your movement, it is common for this technique to allow very long-distance dashes before enemies may notice you.

Poised as usual Rukei face never changed as Wave’s word came about, he knew that his comrade wouldn’t waste anytime trying to cut the distance between them. So as the boy began to remove his headphones from his head Rukei’s hand would quickly be pulled from his bag showing a single Kunai, in the same motion that Wave had tossed his headphones back Rukei would have began to move back with leaps that would cover about a meter. ‘Ehh not smart.’ the Uchiha thought to himself as the Blue hair Shinobi took off running towards him, his speed was defiantly fast but it wasn’t something that couldn’t be tracked without any sort of prior distraction. So as he jetted forward in such a linear line  it wouldn’t be hard for Rukei to properly aim his Kunai directly at the boy’s stomach, he would throw it with enough force to stop the boy in his tracks if he hadn’t elected to evade it somehow. 

‘Sheesh.’ The boy thought as his hands would quickly join together to form a couple of seals¹ while he continued to back peddle while he watched the boy’s every move. Rukei wasn’t sure how skilled Wave actually was but his father always told him to treat everyone as if they’re the best shinobi you’ve every fought when battling.

So Rukei had managed to see through Wave's small distraction. Good, it was expected that the boy possessed some amount of skill considering he was a Genin of the Hidden Grass. The kunai Rukei had launched towards Wave slowed down his pursuit just a bit, as the young Hyuga leaped over the kunai and grabbed it. When Wave's feet finally hit the ground again he would find young Rukei preparing a serious of hand seals.

Well this was unexpected..

Wave had thought that Rukei would be a pretty easy target, but he is proving himself worthy of wearing that headband. With a grunt, Wave continued to stand firm in preparation, watching as the boy's chakra began to build and fluctuate and waiting to see what Rukei's next would be.

‘Oh a front flip.’ Rukei thought to himself as his comrade leapt into the air, it was something that was vary unexpected of the Hyuga. But it wasn’t really something that matter to the young Kusa Shinobi, as his hands had already been racing through a set of seals that wouldn’t take more than a second and half to complete. They would be complete around the same time as Wave’s feet met the ground he couldn’t have been more than 8 meters or so away from the him, he’d continue to move back as wave rushed forward. ‘Shit he’s fast.’ The boy thought to himself as he noticed how fast wave was actually moving, he continued to move back while quickly pulling another Kunai from his bag hurling towards the boy once more.

Wave let his thoughts bounce around in his head as he watched Rukei complete his hand seals and retreat even more. Rukei once again launched a kunai in order to halt Wave's approach. As the kunai approached Wave would cease his advance and raise his left palm, suddenly a large rush of chakra would eject from the Hyuga's hands and blast the kunai out of  the air, all the while continuing its advance towards Rukei head. Surely he would have to either abandon his jutsu or use whatever he was preparing. Wave wouldn't wait for the boys response as he quickly began to formulate his own seals.

Let's see what he does with this.

Once the Hyuuga understands the art of summoning energy all at once into a single, fine strike, they are able to execute with the same precision, but from a distance. Extending chakra from their body, the Hyuuga will thrust their palm at the target, sending out a vicious wave of wind that can knock the opponent back a great distance (up to three meters). The sphere of wind is roughly the size of a bowling ball, yet carriers a tremendous amount of force.

Rukei’s eyes remained focused as he had been facing someone that he hadn’t seen fight before, so he hadn’t known all of there ability’s. As his Kunai ripped through the air quickly cutting the short distance that had between itself and Wave, Wave would stop halt all of his movements while quickly adjusting his arm thrusting it forward. As his hand came forward a ball of chakra would come flying from the mans palm which was aimed for the Kunai that he had thrown, a smile would cross the boy’s face as the ball of quickly began to tear threw the air. Rukei would bounce off to the right of the the spiraling ball of chakra that was racing towards him, he would continue his move back as he began to float his hands through another set of handseals. ‘Shit I gotta get something going.’ The boy thought to himself as he continued to move back towards the rumble that was once a building.

The hand seals that had finally finished forming caused Wave's presence to be doubled, as a replicant of himself would form. With the jutsu now finished, Wave would rush towards Rukei, leaving his clone to its own devices as it began to form its own hand seals. By the time the distance between Wave and Rukei would close to about 5 meters, the Wave's replication would have plunged underground. Still weary of the boy's continuously weaving hands Wave began to round to his right just a bit, hoping to corner him between the ruined buildings surrounding him.

If all your going to do is run away, you should have took my offer in the beginning!"


This was not a taunt, but the truth. Rukei was proving to Wave now more than ever that he was not meant to be a shinobi. While a tactful retreat should never be looked down upon, what was the point of that brief show of confidence if the boy couldn't muster any true strength behind it! The only option left here would be to crush not only his body, but his spirit. By now, Wave's clone should have made its way to the boy, digging through the earth below them.

Iwa Bunshin no Jutsu (Rock Clone Technique)

Iwa Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique which utilizes the Earth Element. After performing a set of handseals, the user creates a perfect clone of themself made of stone. Unlike a normal Bunshin, the Iwa Bunshin has the ability to interact more with the environment due to it having physical substance. This allows the clone to carry out limited attacks on its target. The range of the clone is limited however, it cannot travel very far from the original body. If the Iwa Bunshin is injured, the clone will usually revert back into its natural rock state.

Note: This clone has High x2 cap of chakra. These clones are limited to Earth-based jutsu and elementary chakra channeling. This includes simple abilities like water walking and tree climbing but not more advances channeling techniques such as Hien.

Dochuu Eigyo is a Ninjutsu technique which utilizes the Earth Element. After performing a set of handseals, the user conceals themself beneath the earth, much like in Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu. However, now they are capable of moving through the earth like a fish moves through water, allowing them to stage surprise attacks or escape from a potentially deadly onslaught.

Note: To learn this technique the user must know Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu. Concealment is near-instantaneous. The user cannot perform seals beneath the ground and thus cannot use jutsu, but can wield weapons. To remain underground without suffocating, the user will need to continually expend chakra.

Rukei watched as Wave held his own position finishing of his handseals while he continued to move away, as his clone shout out the ground and began to form Rukei’s hands had never stopped moving. All the while he continued to flip through his own set of handseals, as the clone was fully formed Rukei took a mental note of it’s presents and it's actions thought he didn't have much time to think about what could happen because Wave took off running towards him. His hands had never stopped moving as Wave decided to rush forward, 'tactical thinking.’ he thought to himself as Wave begin to close the distance once again. The Uchiha remained alert of his surroundings. His hands would have never stopped moving as the blue haired shinobi quickly cut the distance down a bit, luckily Rukei hadn’t been standing completely still which enabled him to keep Wave at bay a little longer than he expected. With the space between the two the Uchiha was able to finish of his own set of hand seals before Wave could cut the space down to nothing. Though Wave had manage to cut the distance down quite a bit he was still not within striking distance for himself, but what he was in range for was the completion of Rukei's hand seals. As he did the be quickly inhaled a great deal of wind before exhaling a rather large jet stream of fire, the stream would cover a rather vast area burning everything in it's path. It would extend outward about 10 meters with enough width to catch 7 people waves size within it. 

The stream of dragon fire would come around the same time Wave began to flap his gums again, Rukei could hear his words though and they were quite foolish. 'I guess you don't know what tactics mean.' The Uchiha thought to himself as he would hold the stream of fire long enough to see how his opponent reacted to it. 'Shit.' The boy thought to himself as he began to think of another line of defense in case his plan didn't go the way he needed it to.

Endan is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Fire Element. After performing the necessary handseals, the user will then emit a steady gout of flames from their mouth (which can be sustained for two posts). This gout fans out at its peak, easily capable of consuming several nearby targets all at once..

"Tch!.."

Wave's dissatisfied grunt would go unnoticed as he watched Rukei's chakra form and begin to release. At that same instant, Wave stomped into the ground, signalling that he was halting his advance. Soon, he would begin rapidly spinning and releasing chakra through his tenketsu in order to shield himself from the now incoming flames ¹. The embers and raging fire would clash against the spinning vortex Wave had created. Meanwhile Wave's rock clone had made its way to Rukei, and had burst from the ground behind him, leaving him with no time to react, and bringing a strong right kick swinging into the back of his head, which would no doubt cease his perpetual assault on the real Wave.

"You obviously never heard of tactics. "


With Wave's clone ceasing Rukei's assault Wave would now be free to continue his advance on poor little Rukei, who was most likely reeling from the fierce kick that had smashed against the back of his head.

Hakkeshou Kaiten (Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven)

Chakra Consumption: Mid to cast and sustain
Like many of the Jyuuken techniques, Kaiten is a special technique passed down through the main family line. Kaiten takes advantage of several of the unique abilities of the Byakugan eye, including an almost complete 360 degree view of their surroundings, so that the member to see all angles around them. As such, if an attack is near, the clan member will release a large of amount of chakra from their tenketsu and, simultaneous to the release, begins to spin like a top, creating a whirling vortex that can nullify almost any attack.

Note: This technique possesses a large amount of gale force (as demonstrated when used to deflect a numerous amount of shadow clones). However, a substantial enough of explosion will break through and set the Hyuuga off balance, thusly ending the technique.

While spinning, the Hyuuga’s vision is severely hampered and blurred (much like a normal person’s), limiting their awareness of what is transpiring outside of the sphere.

'Shit.' Once again the boy thought to himself, because he was starting to fill the pressure as Wave halted dead in his tracks. Rukei would marvel at the boy's impeccable timing, because as Rukei's torrent of fire ripped through the short distance that separated the duo Wave counter it. As Wave's Chakra exploded from his brushing off the flames with ease, Rukei would cease the torrent of fire almost simultaneously. Meanwhile while the boy was fully alert of surroundings he'd hear the ground behind him ripping open. 'Holy shit.' The Uchiha thought to himself as he knew it could only be the clone that the blue haired shinobi had created, Rukei would with quick thinking of course was prepared. With a bit of Chakra the boy was able to brace himself for the clones attack, as the clone swiftly delivered a quick kick to the side of the boy's head it would happen. A replacement jutsu, a rock of size would take the place of Rukei though this was no normal rock. Rukei would appear about five meters away from his position within the ruble. Though there was one more gift the he left for the clone, and Wave. The boy would form a single seal allowing the exploding tag that was left on the rock in his place to explode, as it did it was probably enough space power to break apart the blue haired Shinobi's clone. 

"Shit."

Rukei would say as his breathing was a bit heavy things were starting to get a bit out of hand, he wasn't sure what Wave's intentions were. But from the looks of things it had looked as if the boy was out for blood, this had been the first time in the Uchiha's life that someone came at him in this manor. The boy would raise from behind the rock that he was hiding behind just 5 meters off to the left of Wave's position. Rukei hands would quickly come together once more, he was in a tighter spot than ever right now. He was running out of ideas to combat his poppets speed. 

"Fuck your tatics!"

the young boy would say just loud enough for Wave to hear him.

Kawarimi no Jutsu (Body Replacement Technique)

Kawarimi no Jutsu is an Academy Ninjutsu technique. When in danger the user will quickly substitute themself with another nearby object - generally a block of wood, but sometimes even another person - the moment an attack lands. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. From this, the user can use the lapse in the enemy's attention to attack or flee from the battlefield. Explosvie tags can be attached to the placement for an added surprise!

Note: Switch is near-instantaneous. The technique can only be used once per turn.
