The blades of vengeances have fallen swiftly. The shinobi are no more as 'Absolute Justice' has returned...now, it is the Samurai that rule the Five Major Nations!
But at what cost? Have they become the very thing that they despised the most...? Heroes and villains seem to change roles every day, but one thing is for certain - we yearn for our freedom, for days gone by where we flew the skies unhindered.
Gouka Messhitsu (Great Fire Destruction) Rank: S Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+) Type: Offensive Handseals: 3 Chakra Consumption: x2 High Gouka Messhitsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Fire Element. After forming the necessary handseals, chakra kneaded inside the body is converted into fire, and then expelled from the mouth in a massive stream of intense flames that can set a vast area ablaze, engulfing the target(s) in the veritable sea of flames. If used upon dense, combustible terrain such as a forest, the confined area can greatly increase the possibility of the target(s)’s incineration.
Note: The stream of fire can be forced out for one entire turn, and at its maximum, spans nearly 10 meters wide and 10 meters high. This inferno of intense flames is more than capable of burning nearly anything or anyone before it.
This requires at least one mastery in the Katon.
Karyuudan (Fire Dragon Projectile) Rank: B Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Offensive Handseals: 5 Chakra Consumption: Low Karyuudan is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Fire Element. After performing the necessary handseals and creating mud projectiles via Doton’s Doryuudan technique, the user will blow a large flame to ignite the muddy missiles.
Note: This technique requires Doryuudan in order to be used. Furthermore, if the user possesses knowledge of Doryuudan, they can cast both it and Karyuudan simultaneously for the single handseal cost of Karyuudan.
A hard breath whispered from Tsubomi's mouth as Kaze returned her coldness in kind. What right did he have to be cold to her? Perhaps Yokumaru's influence had poisoned him, however Tsubomi was not entirely innocent herself. Kain would shift and shudder under his cowl after Tsubomi mentioned his all too apparent changes. Did he honestly expect to hide those deformities so easily. Let alone the fact that the entire village was buzzing at the news of the village's recent addition to it's arsenal. Now the village housed a destructive beast, its son, and a bijuu. Tsubomi left Kain to cower and hide himself, and simply patted him on the shoulder as the kunoichi brushed off her sensei's harsh words. She had expected him to respond equally as coldly to her, but she knew this was probably only brought about out of confusion.
As Kaze mentioned his future absence Tsubomi couldn't help but wonder if his departure had anything to do with their mutual conspirator. It was hard to feel just how much Kaze had been pulled in by the man's dangerous allure. Especially since she had been unconscious during much of it. Even still, Kaze couldn't be wholly trusted at this point, sensei or not.
"Well, such an unexpected absence might raise some eyebrows in the village. It would be odd for a hunter to suddenly have to be hunted. Hopefully it wont come to that."
Their wasn't any reason to be malicious with her words. She had already expressed her distrust at the moment, and her tone was more benevolent than before. She would simply follow Kaze for now, there was no more point in pursuing this argument.

As Kain would come sprinting across the grassy fields separating them, Tsubomi would push herself away from her leaning position and face him. She hadn't truly expected to be hidden for much longer anyway. After all, both her team mates possessed extremely powerful dojutsu. However, Tsubomi did hope to have at least a little more time to herself in order to sort out her feelings for this team. While there was an unknown heat in her chest whenever she would think of Kain, she was quite proud of the boy fulfilling his dreams. Kaze, however, was a whole other story. He had both been kidnapped by and conspired with Yokumaru just as Tsubomi had. Is it wholly possible that he was tainted even more than she? What had Yokumaru told him? Did he now know of her heritage, and was he only here now as one of Yokumaru's corrupted friends? Tsubomi's pondering was ceased abruptly as Kain slammed into her and hugged her. On any other occasion this would have been met with a kunai to the throat, but Tsubomi decided against it. Perhaps a small hug would act as a reward for his efforts back in those snowy fields.
After a short embrace Tsubomi would lightly push herself from Kain, and face Kaze with an uneasy look. For a short moment she could have sworn she saw his sharingan, and that was reason enough to suspect something. Yet when he had approached the duo he seemeed more focused on Kain and only offered Tsubomi a few words to which she responded.
"There was no point in keeping me there any longer. My injuries were minor and the only reason I stayed was due to my concussion. If I had my way I would have never left that field... should have died there. At least then there would be some glory."
These words were cold, even for her. Yet Tsubomi did not waver throughout her words and seemed more accepting then depressed. She had known what was expected of her there, so did Kaze. She was there to prove herself to both Yokumaru and her village, and finally obtain that strength she wished for so desperately. Her failure just proved that she was not nearly as strong as she thought she was, and that fact was highlighted to all who were there that day. She turned to Kain at Kaze's questioning and decided to speak for the boy.
"Kaze, you and I both know who his friend is. You can tell by the changes in him both physically and otherwise that a beast resides within him now. There is no point in being so obviously put off."

There was no other words to describe Tsubomi's exploits but utter failure. She had been given a chance to obtain to prove herself in front of "that" man. The man who had been her warden just moments before the arrival of the Sanbi, but she wouldn't get that chance. Worse yet, Tsubomi wouldn't even be a part of the action. The moment the beast had joined the fray, she was tossed about like a rag doll, and couldn't even contribute in the beast's capture. She had not returned to her home out of the shame of her almost instantaneous defeat. She had been a proud former remnant of her clan, and had dreamed of its restoration. With her resent contact with Yokumaru however, she could not bare to think of her family. Those few moments she had with that man was enough to shame her, if her mother was ever to know. To be held captive and spared by the very man she had made her nemesis was ironic in itself, and failing to prove yourself to that man proved even more pathetic, but could she truly abandon her family over this? After being carried back into the village like a wounded dog, Tsubomi had made no attempt at communicating with her team mates, but she had heard the rumors. Kain was a jinchuuriki now. He had obtained a source of power that Tsubomi could only dream of, and she could not deny that she was jealous of it. What could she say to the boy when she saw him. It would be expected that she would congratulate and support him, after all he had finally accomplished his dream. So why couldn't she? Why every time she thought of him or the team her blood boiled, and her vision blurred? Why couldn't she accept his gift? Why did she feel a stinging hatred lingering in her chest?
The soft passing touch of shrubbery tickled Tsubomi's legs as she walked through the strong brush of Kusagakure. She was not on a pointless stroll. She had seen Kaze walking this way, and had decided to follow him. Did he know that she had been released from the infirmary? Did he even care? Sure, he may have saved her from dying in a frigid tundra, but that doesn't excuse him for forgetting to visit. Tsubomi knew why he was out this far into the country. He had come looking for Kaze, the village's newest walking weapon. Well, Tsubomi hadn't seen him since she was knocked unconscious, it couldn't hurt to pay him a visit. Soon Kaze and Kain would be reunited, and Tsubomi would lean again a broken remnant of architecture just 15 meters from them. She would watch for now. If they saw and approached her, fine. But she saw no point in approaching them for right now, and simply remained still as they exchanged words.
For the first time since joining this ridiculous team, Tsubomi couldn't help but feel light hearted, even chuckling at the boys empty confidence. Still, it was unknown how the match would have came out if Kain would've thought ahead more. It's possible that with enough training and skill this boy could leave Tsubomi behind to sit in shadow. Still, she wouldn't allow that to happen. She had to many goals to achieve, she couldn't afford not to be the best of the best, or to stand ahead of her peers. After all, her successful career as a shinobi would be more than enough to raise he Menboku clan from it's current dishonored state.
"Yeah you were totally winning. A little longer and you might have even succeeded in blowing the canyon sky high. We should practice moderation in fights.
Unlike her previous words to Kain, these were accompanied with a smile. Maybe she had misunderstood the boy's intentions, and perhaps labelling him as a creep almost instantly wasn't the greatest idea. Kain could prove very useful to the group in his own way. He had shown in those few moments that he could use extremely high level techniques at such an early stage. If he could learn to curve himself a bit and fight with a little more discipline, he could become a guiding force in this team, hell, even the village. Tsubomi looked back down to Kain as he fully introduced himself for the first time.
"The next jinchuuriki huh? That's a bit of a tall order. I'm Menboku, Tsubomi, Tsu' will do just fine though.
Shortly following Tsubomi's words would be the return of their captain. With a wide grin on his face he began to clap at the short presentation his Genin had given. For one moment, he taunted at Kain's haste, and in the next he would praise Tsubomi. The kunoichi would simply look down when Kaze began to evaluate her performance. She wasn't trying to kill her team-mate, she just didn't expect him to act that way. Still, his injuries were caused by her technique, and is partially her fault. Kaze would once again begin to speak of their team, and the missions they would embark on. When he would finish, he would announce the name of the team, and it was to this that Tsubomi would respond with just a simple nod, and a warm smile.
After one final push of air, water began to splash out from Kain's throat. the boy flailed for a moment. He reached out and wrapped himself around Tsubomi, clinging on her for the warmth the river could not provide. While she knew what was happening was a reaction of survival, she couldn't help but shutter and pull away from the gesture. She was not use to affection, from any source. Her mother and father had expressed their love for her once upon a time, but that was before she showed any talent in the shinobi arts. The minute Tsubomi was old enough to form hand seals, her parents locked away any affection they would give her, knowing that it would only build compassion within the child, and that compassion, would be dangerous for a shinobi.
Still, Tsubomi couldn't ignore the fact that Kain's body temperature may had dropped in this freezing water. She would lift the boy to his feet, and swing her arm over his shoulder to warm him.
"I don't think we should continue this match, maybe another time?
Tsubomi's hoped the boy would take her suggestion. There was no point in continuing a fight that had ended so badly. It was best the duo stopped now while all the boy had was a mild chill and a wounded pride.
As the was of flames emerged and exploded around Kain, his team-mate couldn't help but flinch. Quickly shielding her eyes from the bright uproar, Tsubomi's balance would buckled underneath the force of the explosion. As the flames settled she quickly swung her eyes across the field of water desperately in search of Kain. She couldn't tell if this was a well placed trick, or if she had managed to blow her team-mate to smithereens. A deep set panic began to envelope Tsubomi as the thought of the death of another one of her allies began to swim into her mind. She did not want to be responsible for the death of another friend, no matter how brief their acquaintance. For a while, Tsubomi couldn't see any signs of the boy left, but soon she would see a figure struggling in the deeper part of the river.
"Is he drowning?"
Tsubomi couldn't help but chuckle at the notion of a shinobi drowning in regular waters. She sprinted over into the depths were Kain would begin to sink. She had applied a small amount of chakra into her feet allowing her to tread across the waters easily. As she finally stood above Kain's soon to be watery grave, she reached down and gripped his wrist, and began to pull him onto the small bit of land to the left of them. The blast must have knocked Kain this far out into the deep end, and it seemed to have knocked him unconscious as well. Leaving the boy on the ground, Tsubomi hurriedly searched for any large stems or algae. If Kaze had managed to a large amount of water he would need immediate attention. Wrapping the leaves and stems she found into a make shift funnel, Tsubomi quickly placed the funnel on Kaze's lips and down into his throat, then breathed deeply into. She would then fold her hands across his chest and pump the water out from his lungs, this process would be repeated until the boy regained consciousness.
Tsubomi waited as she watched the man swing through the air comically. All that time wasted on theatrics was more than enough time for her to finish her last hand seal. Tsubomi began blowing a highly flammable mist into the air surrounding the area the would land to (about 9 meters away). Now the only thing to do would be to wait and produce a flame. Before Tsubomi could get a chance to craft any more hand seals to create the spark needed the boy shoved his hands into the water.
Judging from the way he went for the water immediately after completing hand-seals, Tsubomi guessed that he must use water based ninjutsu. She hadn't expected this. With a water technique it would be too easy to deflect her incoming flame technique, but then, something strange happened. Instead of a water based technique the boy began to create a flame instead. The minute the boy would have produced a flame, it would have ignited the mist she had breathed in his area causing an explosion. Tsubomi would try to advise against it, but it may have already been too late.
Kasumi Enbu no Jutsu (Mist Waltz Technique) Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m) Type: Offensive Handseals: 5 Chakra Consumption: Mid Kasumi Enbu no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Fire Element. After performing the necessary handseals, the user then proceeds to blow a large combustible mist at their target(s). When the mist hits flame, it will ignite in an explosion of fire.
Kazekaeshi (Wind Return) Rank: A Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Defensive Handseals: 0 Chakra Consumption: High
Kazekaeshi is a Ninjutsu technique which utilizes the Wind Element. The user will release a concentrated burst of wind at an incoming attack, which is knocked back at the opponent with all its destructive potential left in tact.
Note: The incoming attack must be something that can be reflected, such as a fireball or a projectile weapon. However, if the attack is more powerful than the blast of wind (a higher rank), this technique will fail.
As the kunoichi looked up at her opponent/team-mate, she noticed he had reached the other end of the bridge opposite to her. She looked as he bowed slightly, and she bowed her head in return. She was bound by her clan's code to show respect to anyone who respectfully raised there blades against her. Even if it was nothing but a sparring match, she would take this as seriously as any other life or death situation. Soon, her captain would once again begin to sreak:
“Oh and before we start, you’re not constricted to the bridge in terms of battle space. You have this entire canyon under this bridge…. So with that said…. GO!”
Tsubomi flinched as she noticed the match had began. Kaze's words caused her to quickly try to revise her movements to outside of the bridge. Tsubomi was not quite sure if Kain had any extensive training in his clan's hand to hand combat techniques, but until it was proven otherwise, she wouldn't take any risks. Quickly rushing to the edge of the bridge, Tsubomi dove towards one side of the canyon, Skidding across the rocks until she hit the waters below them.
The current was weak and wouldn't offer any movement restrictions. The canyon was about 35 meters long with a width of about 20 meters, and 15 meters behind Tsubomi were harsh rapids the bled into a calm lake. With a good 30 foot drop down into the shallow waters below her Tsubomi's knees buckled slightly. Yet, even with the slight disturbance in her balance, Tsubomi began to from seals the instant she hit the ground. All the while, her eyes looked up at the bridge as she waited for her team-mate to come after her.
The young captain must have noticed that his two soon to be team-mates had grown pretty disinterested in the team itself. Tsubomi had been disheartened at the very beginning of this interaction, and Kain's mood quickly spiralled down hill at the mention of his family. A small smirk flashed onto Tsubomi's face as she noticed his reaction, seems like she isn't the only one with family problems. As she sat and wondered how far Kain's troubles could have really gone, Kaze began to speak again.
“Well in other news you guys, I actually need to know what you’re capable of. So today you two will be sparing, I have to gauge your ability’s before we start running through these missions ya know?”
Tsubomi quickly rose form her leaning over the bridge and turned towards Kain. A sparring match with this man? Interesting. Team or no team, it would be a very engaging fight if she were to pit herself against a Hyuuga. Never before had she faced a opponent with a form of dojutsu so this would surely bring some enlightening experience. Without speaking a word, Tsubomi walked briskly by the boy and towards the other end of the bridge, and waited with her arms folded for the boy to take his position. As she moved forward she could hear Kaze mentioning something else, but she didn't bother to listen. She was busy building a strategy at the moment.
Tsubomi would be standing with her eyes down towards the floor as she began to plot out how to get around Kain's troublesome dojutsu, and how to swiftly end this sparring match.
Rank: B Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Supplementary Handseals: - Chakra Consumption: Mid per turn
The Menboku clan has been known for it's extreme doctrine of honor over everything, this technique is simply an extreme expression of that. During stressing or critical situations, a member of the Menboku clan can flood their bodies with chakra and adrenaline, allowing them to block out the feelings of pain and fear, and push their bodies beyond their physical limitations. During this jutsu, the user moves at about 2x the speed of the average shinobi and is 2x as strong. Also, do to the user's hyper activity, their reflexes are amplified beyond normal means, and can perform usually impossible feats, such as reacting to extremely small stimuli (the lightest touch or the slightest movement).
Note: The user cannot feel pain doing the activation of this technique, and is usually in a frenzied state, causing them to strike out on almost anything. This jutsu has a cool down time equal to the length of activation. This jutsu's bonuses cannot be stacked with other perks.
