Rustle!Rustle!Rustle!Rustle!

Tsubomi's brisk jog eventually turned into a loud run as her anxieties began to topple over. The source behind her growing panic was unknown, and this only brought about more panic. Tsubomi's breath then began to grow ragged and weary. It was completely unlike her to be winded after this short amount of time, but this strange feeling building in her chest made her abandon her years of training as a shinobi. She couldn't explain why, but she felt as if she was a child again, rushing away to her home so that she may feel safe. Bits of leaf and herb began to leak out of the handbag Tsubomi had slung around her body as she rushed ahead, but soon she would coming slamming to a halt as a what seemed to be a shuriken flung to the ground in front of her. 

With a small thud the star dug into the dirt just ahead of Tsubomi. A small grunt escaped Tsubomi's lips as she quickly swung her hands to the Jian hanging horizontally on her back end. Normally, Tsubomi would not have reacted so hastily to a small gesture like this, after all, it was clear that the shuriken was meant as a gesture instead of a attack, but her nerves got the best of her in this situation. So there she stood slightly out of breath, her heart beating out of her chest from the panic that enveloped it, and now she had an unknown shinobi to deal with.

Still, Tsubomi couldn't help but feel a disturbing sense of nostalgia. It was as if a trauma of the past was getting ready to make itself known, but which trauma it was remained unknown. The kunoichi had acquired many battle scars over her career, and each one had placed a blemish on both her psyche and her career portfolio. Quickly trying to draw forth the mask she had developed to hide her disturbed emotions, Tsubomi took a deep cleansing breath, and turned towards the direction the star was thrown from and spoke:

"You obviously want my attention, so now you have it. What business do you have with me? 

Tsubomi's words were cold and emotionless, as was the expression she held on her face, all the while, her hand never left her Jian, and her body remained loose and ready for a less civilized response.

The large expanse of lush green forest stretch out for miles. Each tree held ten thousand leafs, and  the ground was filled with lush grasses just under 5 ft. high. Somewhere off in the distance, wild life scuttled and screeched, giving the forest a small hum of life. In the middle of all this, Tsubomi walked boldly ahead towards the gates of Kusagakure. Brought outside of her home, and comfort zone, Tsubomi's cloak brushed loudly against the invasive grass. There was no reason to hide her presence sense she was well within Kusagakure's territory, and surely no fool would dare disturb her home for fear of those who lie within the village walls. Still, perhaps she should be  a little more guarded. With little more than her Jian as a line of defense, she couldn't but help feel a bit naked in these broad open fields. However, Tsubomi knew these woods well enough to escape if need be, but she was no fan of running.

Rustle.... Rustle...Rustle

Tsubomi's steps hastened to a swift step. She had originally ventured to these fields to gather herbs for her for younger brother and his numerous ailments. Ryuusuke had began increasingly ill of late, and with Tsubomi's failure of a mother doing nothing to help the boy, it was up to his older sister to yet again assist in his healthy upbringing. It was doing these times that Tsubomi truly resented her mother, but she couldn't forsake the circumstances of her birth, and she wanted Ryuusuke to grow up in a world where the Menboku name wasn't a fragmented memory, but revered as it used to be. Tsubomi's steps would soon enter a light jog as anxiety began to eat away at her.

"I need to get home..." 

Tsubomi's ears would perk up as a voice would first originate from below her, and then a different voice would be heard to her left. Looking down into the waters below the bridge Tsubomi would feel a quick and un-ordinarily strong breeze blow by her. For now, she would dismiss both the wind and the estranged voice form below the bridge, and write them off as less important issues. Right now she would be left to face the boy approaching her. 

He was easily younger than herself, but his face did not lack for experience. She was not sure where he stood on the scale of strength, nor did she believe he would be very reliable, but she was choosing to temporarily reserve judgement. For now, it was best to make a good impression. She would turn her whole body towards the approaching teen, and rest her left hand on her hip.

"Yeah, I'm Tsubomi, and which one are you."

She remained monotonous, yet she managed to pull up one of her infamous fake smiles. She didn't want her lingering contempt to remain obvious to her new acquaintance, after all, he would have most likely only seen a brief dossier on her many destructive exploits, and if he had seen the parts she was hoping he hadn't looked over (mostly the ones where she would have killed numerous enemies, and even a few friends in blind passionate fits, or the medical documents issuing medication for her PTSD) Then she would definitely have to make a good impression.

Just outside the reaches of civilization stood a bridge connecting Kusagakure to it neighboring wilderness. the trees and large plains of Kusagakure had usually made it near impossible to navigate openly, and most of the time required the assistance of someone from within the very village. However, the ninja of this land had become exceptionally talented at maneuvering through its bewildering surroundings. Tsubomi, was no different.

    It had been less than 2 days since she received a letter from a man who would lead her squad. Of course, Tsubomi was initially delighted at this offer, but was quickly brought down to reality when she realized this offer would force her to collaborate with other ninja. It's not that the young kunoichi didn't like team efforts, but whenever ninja would become accustomed to her she would quickly retreat from their advances, she didn't need any friends and she certainly didn't want any. This team was just a excuse for others to become associated with business that was not theirs. Now that she stood only inches  from the bridge that would serve to be the meeting place for this group, she was filled with contempt, and was itching to get the trivial meeting over with. She was the first person to arrive, and that only heightened her disdain. She would lean over the edge of the bridge and look out towards the vast expanse of wilderness and beauty offered by Kusagakure ,her clothes rustling light to show her thighs.
