D E S C R I P T I O N

Elevated against the side of a surrounding mountain range that protects Kumogakure no Sato, resides the Mission Base. It is one of the more traditional buildings within Kumogakure no Sato, and also one of the oldest buildings still left standing. Dating back centuries, it has been renovated a number of times while still maintaining the same structure. The architecture is proof of its age. In order to access the lodge, a shinobi will follow a moderately inclined path to reach the large double wooden doors. A very majestic setting, the low cloud cover often surrounds the building and path edge. Made of old stone and oak wood, even though it is not one of the largest buildings in Kumogakure no Sato, it withholds a traditional beauty. The time it has stood is a testament to the buildings strength.

When entering the base, the ninja will be greeted by a large, square, black desk with four ninja sitting on either side, facing outward. Although, one is more than likely to find this desk occupied by the Head Assistant, Utada. The lobby in which this desk sits is quite massive, and will often house ninja coming in from an assignment, or communicating before heading out on their mission. After requesting, or being assigned, a mission by one of these four desk attendants, or Utada herself, the ninja will then typically be guided to the hall to the left of the desk- the briefing hall. With 26 rooms for shinobi cells to be briefed in, they offer privacy for teams to prepare for their missions.

Adjacent to the briefing hall is the debriefing hall, which operates in a similar function. If returning from a top secret or ANBU mission, shinobi will usually be debriefed in the ANBU headquarters. In rare cases, however, a shinobi will sometimes be asked to a private briefing (or debriefing) with Sansa, the Executive Mission Overseer. These are on a case by case basis, however.

I need to do a mission, I need the experience and I need to be cool, like Janko-sama or mama. My feet were covered by the wooden sandals, wearing my traditional robes, I thought I looked presentable, now to get to the mission base...wait..I have to get up to the base? Damn it...Step by step I wondered upwards until I finally reached the side of the mountain range, entering the base a massive wave of fresh air blew onto my face, must be the ac. I'd gaze around the room, it looked rather nice, a lot like a rural house in the fields or something of the sort, as I took small steps forwards towards the desk where I would ask approval to go on a mission that was about being a pretend fireman...I think? 

"すみませんが、私はこのミッションに行くためのアクセス許可を得ることができる？(Excuse me but could I get permission to go on this mission?)" I'd say in a scared voice towards the person at the desk, what if I was in the wrong base? What if this is the wrong room? Oh god please don't go wrong... 
   
Fire Department

Description: It's hard to believe that we get any fires around here-- considering our usually moisture rich climate-- but we do. Our fire department, though expertly trained and filled with a good number of brave men and women, sometimes lack a good response time to emergencies. This tends to result in the deaths of a handful of civilians at the end of the year. We'd like you to remedy that statistic as efficiently as you can. Keep an eye out for fires, head towards the situation quickly, and save any civilians in danger. Then contain the fire until the professionals arrive.
Reward: 50 EXP / 1000 RYO.
Minimum Shinobi: 1.

As she fills out some forms, intermittently reaching for a potato chip from the bag at the corner of her desk, Utada abruptly diverts her attention towards the sound of the door creaking open across the room. A young man has entered, appearing quite insecure despite his obvious shinobi attire, and-- sure enough-- he's come to request permission for an assignment. She puts down her pencil, smiles amiably, and takes the mission slip from him. "Of course!" She answers, reaching under her desk for a stamp. After ensuring that he's filled out all the credentials, she quickly stamps the slip.

"You're all set to go." She then says, that amiable smile of hers beaming. "Be safe!"

"私の使命ミスを承認していただきありがとうございます (Thank you for approving my mission miss)" I'd say in a excited expression towards the woman at the desk, I'd then have a rather positive skip in my step, it went a lot better than I expected in the first place, so now I just gotta leave the building and go down to the city and look around for fires? Easy! As I wondered out of the door I'd jump into the air shouting "YAHOO"

Description: As the publication of the Kumogakure Times grows in popularity, the agency requires a stronger work force to keep up with its demand. One task in particular-- delivering the vast amount of newspapers to its subscribed customers-- is lacking in capable, and efficient, labor. This is where you come in. Head over to the agency and retrieve their list of delivery addresses. Make certain the newspapers are delivered as quickly as possible. You start at the break of dawn.
Reward: 25 EXP / 500 RYO.

Maya had come towards the building as she would then slowly enter it, going to the front desk she would then take out a note. And hand it towards the female or male. That was mission details.

Eyeing the young girl that comes in, Utada can't help but sense some kind of... trauma in her. It can almost be seen in her eyes, felt in the room as she silently approaches the desk, and politely hands over a mission slip. For a moment, an abrupt pang of sadness keeps Utada still, her heart arranging emotions her brain is too under qualified to understand. Then she snaps out of it, blinking repeatedly, before taking the slip and reviewing its details. "The newspaper agency expected more out of us... but this will do." She utters as her eyes scan the writing.

When she is done, she files the mission slip away, retrieves a payment check, and stamps it with a navy blue insignia. Forcing a small smile, she hands this check over to the young woman. "Here's your reward. Kumogakure no Sato appreciates your service."

    Arkiuz stumbled into the base as he had been pushed through the doors by a pair of girls half his age wearing temple robes. 'Your constant work is driving people away! Do something else for once!' They shouted after him before rushing away. He sighed heavily, straightened his clothes and strode, half annoyed, to the desk. He'd been here already but nothing peaked his interest. Well, one did. But it was going to be hard work getting those materials if the workers were going to take all the wood for themselves. He stood there for a moment, eyeing the secretary before breaking out his best smile.

"I'd like to take this mission, please." He removed a piece of paper from inside his robes. On it were the mission name and details.

Forest Management

Description: Some of the tall pine trees surrounding the fringes of Kumogakure no Sato's territory have grown impressively large and terribly old, threatening to snap at any moment and crush any unlucky bystander (or piece of property) that might be in the area. We need you to go out with the forest management workers and assist in cutting these trees down before it ever comes to that. Be sure to yell "timber!". We wouldn't want any of youcrushed.

The doors burst open, and Utada can't help but draw her dark eyes away from her paperwork to see what's going on. At the sight of it-- a couple of robed women literally pushing a young man into fulfilling the assignments of another organization-- the young assistant can't help but giggle. She stops when the individual approaches her desk, thinking that surely this one was going to prove beneficial to lightening Kumogakure no Sato's endless workload. "Of course." She smiles, taking the slip, checking his credentials, then promptly stamping it for approval.

"You're all set!" She brightly informs.

PERMISSION GRANTED.

    Nodding at the approval, Arkiuz turned and made for the door. Now came the actual issue of taking down the trees without murdering someone or crushing a house. Tricky indeed. He briefly regretted the fact that he didn't have a saw attached to Aphael, his puppet. Ah well, a challenge is always a good thing. And that wood could be used to further his craft.

I'd walk into the mountain with a crutch under both arms, recovering from several burns I'd smirk towards the lady at the counter, slowly I'd approach her and utter the words "I did the Fire Department mission" I'd proceed to pull out a piece of paper detailing the mission and then lay it on the desk, signed by the fire Marshall of the fire fighter unit. It'd be legitimate and ready for acceptance.

    Arkiuz walked gracefully through the doors to the Mission Base. He looked completely clean and well-dressed, as if the hours of work and planning in the tents of the forest management personnel were nothing. He approached the desk and smiled at the receptionist. He waited for a moment before addressing her, "I'm here to collect the reward for my assignment." There was no hint of fatigue in his voice and he smelled like incense from the shrine.



Mission Credentials

As the boy from before (Eden) staggers in past the front doors, Utada releases a small gasp at the sight of his injuries. "You poor thing!" She cries, placing her pencil down before getting up off her chair, then making her way past her dark mahogany desk. As the injured kid stops at the forefront of this desk, she gives him a warm (and careful) hug. "I do hope you're okay." She then asks, breaking away from the embrace to evaluate his injuries. When he presents her with the mission credentials, she nods and takes them from him. "Yes-- yes, of course."

Walking back towards her desk, she takes her seat and reviews the report. "Oh, dear..." She utters, reading the part about the crazed cannibal. Seconds pass before she retrieves her blue stamp, then she approves a payment check shortly thereafter. Handing the check over to the young man, her eyes brim with honest concern. "Now get some rest and heal up, okay? You don't want to worry your parents."

When the robed gentleman from earlier (Arkiuz) returns, Utada is more than happy to see he's come back safely from his assignment-- especially after seeing the previous shinobi stagger inside with crutches. She knew, despite her desk job, that the shinobi life came with obvious dangers, and that injury was common in this line of work. But seeing young men-- children-- endure such pains and bear such marks was nonetheless disturbing to her. "Nice to see you again!" She greets, taking the assignment's report from him. 

After reading through the report, having expected maybe just a bit more than what was written, she retrieves a payment check and stamps it. "Kumogakure no Sato appreciates your service." She politely remarks, handing the check over with a smile.

It was pretty hard to speak and move my muscles, after all the burns covering my body and singed hair didn't exactly provide me with herculean strength and stamina however it's not too hard to bare with, just a few winces now and then, nothing too serious, I wish everyone would stop worrying though, I saved a small female child from a crazed cannibalistic lunatic murderer inside of a burning building. When I put it like that I kinda feel like a hero however it's my duty (hehe) as a shinobi of Kumogakure to do all I can and beyond to make sure it's citizens and my fellow shinobi are in tip-top condition, if they aren't it'd make me and my fellow comrades look ridiculous, it's not just about honour though, it's about a great conscience and having the will to want to strive, to want to help people. I should write speeches. 


As the lady cries the words "You poor thing!" I'd begin to blush a bit, one benefit of these scars is attracting the ladies, also this desk smells of rich mahogany. The lady would get up and give me a hug, I'd giggle as she did, my cheeks bright red, "I do hope you're okay." I like this lady, she's kind. She'd seem to adjust her glasses as she scans over the report of the mission a quick "oh dear" yep, she's probably read the part about the crazy inuzuka, she'd hand me a slip of paper with details of my pay, a check, "Now get some rest and heal up okay? You don't want to worry your parents." I'd head out after I get everything sorted.

A young man toting a messenger bag walks through the doors of the base, bearing three separate checks, and a portfolio with papers, in one of his gloved hands. Reaching the assistant's desk at the end of the room, he spreads each of these items out across the surface of the table. "Excuse me, ma'am! I've been asked to retrieve the payments of the squad listed as Gunjin-- a task approved by the team leader, Sozin Hallstrom, and the Raikage himself. I am required to ask you to verify these facts, before handling these transactions! Thank you!" With such a curt and charismatic request, he taps his heels together, and issues a sharp salute.
