Time Marches On

The cool, crisp morning air took some of the bite out of the radiant sun as the village basked in its warmth. It was something Ujiyasu liked quite a bit about Kusagakure over the many years he had lived in the village. The man himself laid a little lazily on the grass, in oneof the few times he could just relax. The trees wavered slightly with the breeze as Ujiyasu simply looked up at the sky, looking at the birds and the occasional cloud.

It had been a quiet seven years despite a few things happening in between.Ujiyasu shared a close relationship with Kasumi, but the two of them broke offon friendly terms. In a way, it might have been for the best seeing as Kasumi found herself distancing herself from being a Shinobi, and Ujiyasu having become Jounin. Ujiyasu felt that she would be better off with someone who would be a sure bet to return every night, as opposed to suddenly find herself without her partner.

Despite the split, Ujiyasu found himself to be more at peace with himself than ever before. He no longer found himself to be darkened by his nearly fatal experience at his first Chuunin Exams, and he felt that he could square the traumatic experience away finally. In turn, he became a more of a light-hearted individual, not to the extent of what he used to be as a Genin, but more of a happy medium in between.

As far as his craftsmanship went, he was still held back by various duties, as well as general repair and domestic jobs. It wasn't something he complained about very much, as it definitely got him enough to get by, but he did find himself wanting to help Kusa's forces by working on some new gear.

 

Hmmm might have to pay my folks a visit soon. Little overdue for a trip to their’s. Maybe later today.

 

Yes, today was a rare day that he could actually relax. He planned to be rather lazy today and just enjoy himself. To him, he figured it was about time... such days were far and few in between, so whenever they came, he would savour the day.

Time had seemed to past by so fast within the village Kusagakure, seven long years had only seemed like a couple of months. Sy had found himself advancing through the ranks faster than just about anyone that has ever been a part of Kusagakures Shinobi forces. He looked as no big deal but others around him especially his own family felt as if he was doing something spectacular, his body of work was starting to look even better than his own father. The Jounnin found himself wandering throughout the village of Kusagakure with his normal jubilant look on his face, he hadn’t really had much to do on this beautiful day so he figured he’d just get out and walk. He was dressed in his casual clothes which consisted of his short sleeve shirt that was all black covered by his custom made jacket, while he also had a pair of all black pants to match with his coat and shoes.

“Gah, I wonder who’s out today?”

Sy said to himself as he continued stroll down a long path that had seemed to lead to nowhere fast, though he didn’t mind because he was enjoying the free time that was bestowed upon him today. But while he strolled he had come across what seemed like a fairly open field, ‘Looks relaxing.’ He said to himself as he found himself straying off the path that he was on. While walking onto the grass he began to look around to see if there had been anyone else around him. ‘Ahh, is that?’ he thought to himself as moved his head around trying to get a better look at the man that was laid out in the grass. ‘It is!’

“Ujiyasu, That’s you right?”

He’d speak in a simi-loud tone trying to catch the man’s attention. He had hoped that he had still remembered him from way back when they were promoted to Jounnin together. With the two going into different professions Sy hadn’t seen much of the boy, but he still remembered just how powerful he was.
