A sigh of contempt escaped me as I watched the Elusive Man's theatrics, the sight of those horrendous creatures scattering like roaches caused me to raise my guard. I had no idea what they were or what they did but I did know that their identity, or even The Elusive Man's, was secondary to my mission. I was to recover an artifact -- The Elusive Man and his monstrosities were only standing in my way.

But as confident as I was, there was no disputing that they were incredibly fast. In fact it was difficult keeping up with them; had not I not encountered Raijin I might have been impressed. I'd taken note of them all to the best of my ability and found it more lucrative to focus on the two coming right at us. I thought it interesting that they took to arcing toward my position, much like the monkeys from earlier.

Had I not felt they were all powerful in their own right, I might have implemented the same strategy but, unlike those filthy apes, these creations seemed much more cognizant. The distance that those demons traveled from was lengthy (25 meters) but their speed made it troublesome to intercept them. Taking their arcing path into account, which inherently increased the distance they had to travel, we decided to bide our time.

I was still channeling my chakra and my replica had finished his handseals by the time the fiends had converged on our positions, the last one still held. To avoid getting hit we moved¹ backward leaving the creatures in our old positions. I had moved back a considerable amount (10 meters) but my clone, having been poised to attack, only went half as far before throwing and release that glowing white orb² and it's polygonal shell directly at the ghoulish pair.

It crossed the five meter gap between my replica and the creatures at a speed that almost paralleled their own speed, but what was most interesting about it was that it's shell expanded as it flew and it's pervasive glow quickly sought to encompass both fiends. If the attempt was successful they would be trapped inside the cone with the volatile white orb. That orb was set to explode so that it spread and literally deleted whatever lay within. It was an incredible ability -- but so was the Elusive Man's.

Whose would prevail was to be seen.

2. Genkai Hakuri no Jutsu: Cone (Base World Separation: Cone)

The user uses Dust Release to create a cone shaped structure, with a sphere located at its center, between the palms of his hands. The structure expands rapidly in size when being propelled towards its intended target then seems to explode with a tremendous amount of force, resulting in the destruction of everything and anyone caught within as they are pulverized into minute particles of dust.

Note: The conical version of this technique has been noted to provide a larger blast radius than the cube, creating a large devastating beam which reduces the targeted area to dust. The shape of the technique as stated originates as a small cone shape between the user's hands with a sphere inset within. Once fired, this cone expands in size and length, yet retains a conical shape, with the widest area being the base and the narrowest being its point.

The expansion of this technique is not instant; however, once the beam itself is fired, it expands rapidly and has a damaging radius of 20 meters, with the most damage occurring within the actual confines of the cone itself, with the outlying area gradually reducing in severity. The power of this version has been stated to be capable of destroying an entire island, however for balancing purposes, the effect has been dramatically reduced. In the execution of the technique the last seal is held, if the user breaks the last seal then the technique will end.

‘Come on Tousen.’ The elusive man thought as his avatars traveled the great distance of the throne room. It had been expected that you would have some type of plan to combat the speed of his avatars, so as you flipped through your hand seals while they converged on your position avatar¹ had completely charged his attack. So as they crossed about the 10 meter threshold closing in on your position avatar¹ one would fire off a beam of Katon chakra directly towards your clone. Its aim would be the center of its chest, meanwhile avatar³ had redirected his flight as well heading for the upper part of the chamber, he would float over top of your position while he charged his own attack. So if your attack had managed to be fired off it would either catch one of the two avatars in its line of fire.

Meanwhile the elusive had finished his own set of hand seals, shortly after he would begin to spew mud from his gut it would pour all over his throne racing across the floor. He wouldn’t hesitate to start up another set of hand seals while his avatars were still converging on you. Meanwhile, the clone that had been positioned over top of the elusive man would join the pursuit of you zipping across the length of the chamber with his technique already prepared.

Doryuu Taiga (Earth Flow Rivers)

Doryuu Taiga is a Ninjutsu technique which utilizes the Earth Element. After forming the needed handseals, the user transforms the ground underneath their opponent into a river of mud. This river materializes suddenly and flows quickly, completely in the opposite direction that the opponent was originally moving. This technique is excellent for slowing people down and facilitating escapes, as the mud itself is highly constricting.

Note: The river flows in a straight line in whichever direction the user chooses; the direction cannot be altered afterward. The river can be no longer than 5 meters and no wider than 3 meters. The mud created by this technique can be used to facilitate other techniques that require mud.

It crossed the five fifteen meter gap between my replica and the creatures at a speed that almost paralleled their own speed, but what was most interesting about it was that it's shell expanded as it flew and it's pervasive glow quickly sought to encompass both fiends.

My clone and I narrowly escaped the fire blast using the Body Flicker technique. Having been facing them the entire time I quickly noticed the fiend change course, and by that time I had also heard a familiar chime that usually signaled the end. In an elaborate display that left as quick as it came, the Katon firing heart would be subject to a demise unlike any other. Had the Elusive Man been watching he would have seen his servant captured within the otherworldly cone and pulverized in mere seconds. The polygon's shell quickly evaporated to let loose a cloud of dust with the Katon wielding fiend nowhere to be found.

The replica would remain still afterward, taking a moment to recuperate but still concentrating. With the mud-spewing Elusive Man approx. 30 meters away, I stared up at the hovering monster, concentrating my energy the entire time. A faint black shine surrounded my hands as a result.

Your tactics would once again prevail in a situation that was all but in your favor as your amazing display of power was displayed. In that instant the elusive man saw the true power that you held, though he wouldn’t show it was quite shaken up by what he had witnessed. You had showed him that he was all but invincible. But that wouldn’t falter his efforts to erase you from this world as all the other before you, as his hands floated through another set of seals as the mud escaped his gut. His avatars had been assigned their own task, both of them had taken into consideration the technique you had just preformed, and what it had done to their brethren.

So as the clone that had taken to the sky just before your attack dawned on avatar¹, his flight pattern would become quite iritic. He would no longer move in a linear line as the other did, he would move in a zig zag motion that that spanned over about 10 meters zipping back and forth at blinding speeds. Meanwhile his shadow, being avatar³ wouldn’t be many steps behind quickly taking to the left side of the room. His movements wouldn’t be similar to his brethren at all, he would take to the left side of the room behind the columns. It would continue to cut down the speed while remained alert in the same instance. Both avatars would be preparing their own attacks while the elusive man prepared his own technique; the question was what was he up to? All that was notable by you was the mud that had been flowing randomly 30 meters away from you.

Our choices were slim with the two ghoulish creatures taking a more baiting approach than before. Observing how erratic the one had gotten, I thought it best to avoid him (and his counterpart) all together and focus on The Elusive Man himself. A quick sprint sent me and my replica in the kingpin's direction at our highest speed, allowing us to cover the 30 meter gap in no time. My replica, who trailed close some twelve feet away, withdrew a marked kunai halfway through our blitz and it soared within the blink of an eye. Our movements were synchronized so that the projectile would slip past my person hardly noticed, bolting toward The Elusive Man at an incredible speed. It was slated to land right between his eyes.

We both took note of the oozing river of mud pouring from his gaping mouth and actively sought to avoid it by staying out of range. Our sprint would end approx. 10 meters away from The Elusive Man.

Playing into a truly elusive man’s hand wasn’t expected of you, from his view he could see everything that was transpiring in front of him. His hand seals that he had been breezing through came to halting finish when you had got into your full sprint, the mud that had been rumbling just ahead of you had erupted into the form of a Hydra head. Its wouldn’t take any longer than a second to form, and as it did it quickly formulated its ammunition firing them off into your direction.

Meanwhile the ghoulish avatars that you had decided to place on a back burner would have taken note to your actions. Avatar² the one that hadn’t been there far of your position to begin with would quickly reroute itself once again zipping down from the higher parts of the chamber, it would find itself directly behind yourself and your replica. It’s speed once again being so great that it wouldn’t take it very long for him to close the distance between you and it. The attack that it had prepared had been a Raiton beam of chakra, it would be fired off directly at your backside around the same time the hydra would erupt from the mud.

While in the shadows lurked avatar³ he would reposition himself to a location that he found fit for the situation that was at hand.

Doryuudan (Earth Dragon Projectile)

Doryuudan is a Ninjutsu technique which utilizes the Earth Element. After performing the requires handseals, the user creates a giant dragon's head made out of mud in front of them. The beast quickly opens its maw and begins firing balls of mud at the opponent that are capable of doing massive blunt damage if they connect.

Note: To learn Doryuudan, the user is required to know Doryuu Taiga. Doryuu Taiga must have been used prior to this technique because of how much mud is required to facilitate it. Dragon's head is 4 meters long and 2 meters wide; the mud balls it shoots are 1 meter in diameter. The dragon fires off 3 balls in the turn that it is summoned, and then each turn after that can fire 2 balls.

The scenario had changed tremendously with the Avatar's sudden reroute, however I had anticipated his attack pattern long before he'd moved. In fact I had been fishing for it the entire time. I recounted my initial encounter with Raijin and assumed a similar response would work against these abominations. Luckily I didn't test this theory against the initial Katon-wielding one because, had I done so, I likely would have fallen victim to his attack. But this masked menace would be my guinea pig, so as I sprinted with all my might toward The Elusive Man I waited for his counter maneuver; an elemental beam of some sort.

We both took note of the oozing river of mud pouring from his gaping mouth and actively sought to avoid it by staying out of range. Our sprint would end approx. 10 meters away from The Elusive Man.

Meanwhile the ghoulish avatars that you had decided to place on a back burner would have taken note to your actions. The short distance we managed to cover (10 meters) left us back at square one (25 meters away from The Elusive Man). The Avatar's attack ripped through the air, crackling wildly on it's course toward my clone and myself, but just as it was about to connect we both split ^2/2A to open up a gap between us that allowed the beam to crash harmlessly to the ground. As it did my clone moved^2A directly toward the projectile assault launched by the earthen dragon in an attempt to head it off. Meanwhile I moved to finish up my counter assault. Upon landing from my quick juke, I faced about (toward the Avatar) and launched² myself in it's direction at double my normal running speed.

That meant closing the short gap between myself and the Avatar would happen in the blink of an eye. We would inevitably come into contact and, when we did, I would thrust my hands forward to take hold of the fiend. On the outside the attempt seemed reckless and almost suicidal, but the noxious chakra¹ coating my hands would quickly take sovereignty of the Avatar's sentience. Had it all gone according to plan, I would most likely find myself clutching the Avatar's wiry husk -- searching for the remaining fiend.

My clone managed to cover more distance with it's sudden movement (10 meters) but was at risk of being struck drown. Conveniently, however, the chakra it had been concentrating was released in a sudden burst^1A that was sure to surprise The Elusive Man. Had he been watching, as I assumed he was, he would notice his very own attack careening back at him (from 15 meters away) completely in tact, at full speed, with all it's original lethality.

Although most Medical Shinobi utilize this technique for combat, Naite no Jutsu may also be used to help the user combat things like cancerous growths by simply killing the cancerous cells. While active, the user is capable of causing massive cellular destruction of an area of one inch per second per rank of the technique. The chakra is represented by a faint glow around each of the user's hands, a perfect circle formed around the appendage, with the glow itself letting off a faint, black hue.

Note: This technique works in the opposite manner as Shousen no Jutsu. Immediately touching an area can result in “killing” the appendage and thusly making it unable to be used. However, charging this ability (for a maximum of three posts and offering 2x High) can provide the user will a one-hit kill, regardless of where they touch the victim.
