Tsukune sighed, resisting the urge to wipe his bloodied hand across his forehead. Instead, he cleaned himself off with a disposable cloth and turned to the girl's body again, frowning slightly. Now that the shard of bone had been removed, he would have to seal the artery back up, putting it into place. If he didn't restore the bone, however, it would just slice the artery in half as well. He sighed. He would simply have to devote his attention to both of them at the same time.

He rolled up his sleeves with a flicking motion, bringing them together over her clavicle in a single seal. With a faint touch of his fingers, laced with chakra, he traced a lazy circle around a small portion of her chest, defining the area he wanted to release from the stasis seal. As time resumed its course, blood started flowing freely out of the wounds for a few moments, releasing the fluid that had been unfrozen. The rest of her system, however, and the blood within it, was still sealed up.

Small mercies.

He brought his hands together, forming a number of practised hand seals, and held them over her chest. Jade energy flared out of his hands, visible to the naked eye, and formed a smooth aura of chakra that covered the unsealed portion of her chest. He allowed his chakra to sink down into her skin, letting the medically-based life energy work its way into her flesh. It was a vital step towards allowing him to control her tissue, commanding it to work as he desired. He looked downward, focusing, cleansing any bacteria or infection...

Easy now.

It was a complex process; he started by spreading his chakra out, allowing it to fill the tissue. He began to expand tethers of chakra around the rings of severed arterial flesh, sending lines out to line them up to one another. Before long, if one could see chakra, it would look like a lacework between the two parts, almost like a delicately constructed finger trap. As he did that, he focused on the pieces of the bone, lining them up with one another where they had broken apart.

A few pieces were missing; that was alright. Tsukune filled them up with pure chakra, creating porous constructs of energy that would stimulate the bone into replacing the lost parts. Tethers flew from both sides, preparing to hoist the bones into place. Last of all, the tissue itself joined the network, laced together where it would close over the newly repaired body parts, fixing them into place and allowing function to return. He ran over the construct in his heads, examining it from all angles.

Acceptable.

Now came the hard part. He ran his chakra down into Hisanna's flesh, gently tightening the lashes of chakra he had spread throughout her flesh. He had to do it all at once, bringing bone and artery and flesh together in one clean motion. The tissue rippled under the stark white light of the hospital room, looking like slapped jello. Bit by bit, he aligned the broken pieces of bone, the slashed through artery, and the man shorn flaps of skin into one mass, holding them together with hooks of energy...

The next part was a little more difficult. He let chakra flow gently into the patchwork of flesh he had created, filling the slightly irregular joints between all the still-separate parts. With gentle touches, he began to coax them to grow, tricking them into knitting into one another, flesh joining into one smooth, unbroken whole. It took more than a little bit of effort to do, but he accomplished it handily within a few moments. He released the technique after a moment, looking at the reddened skin of the sealed wound. Everything seemed in order.

Ugh.

He sighed, and let himself sag for a moment. It had taken a fair amount of chakra to enact that healing. It wasn't easy to do. He still had plenty of energy, but if it was that difficult to restore all of her injuries, it would take more out of him than he thought. He allowed himself only a few moments of these doubts before he pushed himself back up, his mind cleared of such things. He had a job to do; his personal feelings about his own adequacy were irrelevant; others were relying on him.

He trailed his eyes along Hisanna's form, regarding the endless tracery of injuries on the body, everywhere except for on that one patch of her chest. He moved methodically, his hands coming to rest next on her upper abdomen, just below her breasts. From what he could tell, there were mostly blunt-force injuries in this area, probably from punches and kicks. There would be a lot of bleeding, just below the epidermis. With a few quick motions, he undid the seal in a short radius and set to work...

-Follow The Motions

He started with the Clean and Pure technique, using it to pull out imperfections in the bacterial make-up of her flesh. Thankfully, from what he could tell, no poisons had been used, and the only threat was from infection from the numerous wounds. A few quick washes of healing chakra dealt with that, leaving her wounds, if horrific, at least clean of any insidious microbes. He frowned, looking down at her. This would be difficult. He would have to remove all that blood from her tissue.

With a quick flick of his wrist, he grabbed a scalpel, using it to cut a minor incision in her abdomen, a few centimetres below her solar plexus. It would give him a place to guide the blood out of her body. Emerald chakra flared as he reactivated the Shosen technique, calling up chakra from down within him with practiced rhythms. He settled that energy into her flesh, letting it wrap around her muscles, filling up the soft tissue of her epidermis and below with gentle power.

Easy does it.

Bruising was a different kind of injury than a simple cut. It was caused by traumatic damage to capillaries and venules, the miniscule tubes responsible for the intricacies of micro-circulation. Bruises were caused when they were damaged by trauma, allowing blood to flow out of them and fill the surrounding tissue. He would have to allow his chakra to stimulate the capillary beds, compelling them to seal their miniscule injuries. It would be delicate work, but not especially strenuous...

Alright.

He settled his chakra down into her injuries, filling up the capillary beds, tracing up into the tiny network of a tubes that made up the smallest, and most important, part of the circulatory system. Of course, even smaller than that was the chakra network, but thankfully, he wouldn't have to worry about that with her injuries. It took poisons or techniques of incredible precision or intricacy to directly injure the chakra circulatory system. He shook his head, clearing those thoughts out of him.

Gently, he stimulated the cells, willing them to grow together, closing the many holes in her capillaries. Ever so gently, like a million dust particles all moving at once, little waves rolled up under her flesh. He pushed the blood towards his incision slowly. He couldn't allow it to stay inside the tissue; it would create infections and dig out a nice little cavity for itself, like the world's biggest blood blister. Instead, he pushed it towards the incision, were it gently oozed out of her.

Hn.

It was creating a mess, for sure, but it was better than leaving her with a giant blood-filled sac in the centre of her abdomen. Slowly, he made sure her bruises were healed, straightening out veins and re-ordering tissue. It was gentle work, but not difficult. After a few moments, he drew the small incision together, a task made easy by the small size and precise measurements he had made it with. It came together cleanly, with little preparation, and healed over fresh and new...

Now...

After a moment, Tsukune let his chakra disperse. He had done well, thus far, but she was far from healthy. Hell, if he undid the seal on her body, she would bleed out from her neck almost immediately. He would have to take care of that, of course, but for now, he was proud that he had been able to fix her chest at all. Of course, there was still lots of work to be done. He moved over to her right arm, regarding the break in her bicep. He could see that the bone had snapped cleanly, in multiple places.

Her flesh was a little distorted from the re-shaped bone, but that was to be expected. With a flick of his fingers, the seal along her upper arms was dispersed, leaving only the bicep unfrozen. He didn't dare undo the seal any closer to her neck than that. With a few quick motions, he cleansed the wound, washing it in chakra designed to seep into flesh and bone and pull out the infections. There were other ways to deal with such things, but he had little time to go looking for medicine.

Up next..

Once that was done, he gathered up his energy, calling up the pale jade of his Healing Hands technique again. A soft network of chakra erupted from his palms, wrapping around the bones and creating imaginary connections between the parts that needed to be reestablished. The central piece, completely broken off from the others, was completely encapsulated in a soft net of energy, one that would anchor it back into place when he commanded it to. He frowned, narrowing his focus...

Alright.

The next move happened all at once; with a quick motion of his chakra, the pieces of the bones were pulled into place, aligning themselves into the cracks of one another until they formed a patchwork replica of the once-whole bone they used to be. Tsukune quickly stimulated the tissue all around the bones, coaxing them into growing in, locking the not-yet healed bones into place as the best possible splint he could form. It rippled under his fingers, sealing into an apparently fixed bicep.

But not yet...

The most important part was taking place next. His chakra stimulated the cracks between the chunks of flesh, compelling the to close, reforming the bone into a solid whole. Bone was harder to trick into healing than flesh, as it was a lot slower to seal than skin was; it wasn't long before it had been reformed into a solid mass, however, and Tsukune stepped back from it, looking the injury over. After a long moment, he nodded, yawning slightly as the sensations of fatigue set in to him.

No. He wasn't tired yet. He hadn't even begun the most important work of the process. He moved quickly, walking around to the other side of the comatose girl. With a few flicks of his fingers, the seal was undone on her bicep in the same manner as the other side. He performed the same operation on the other side, moving methodically and tiredly. Before long, both arms were healed, their bones laced into place. She was a patchwork, half healed yet still frozen in time... Not for much longer...

The main event.

Tsukune stepped around her, coming to rest beside her head. He looked down at the red-haired girl. She was beautiful, even he could see that. She was also utterly destroyed. He felt an odd connection to her, having healed her twice now. He didn't want to give up on her. He knew he could fix her. It might be okay to leave her, for just a day, while he rested, in the eyes of another. The other doctors would care for her. He wasn't having any of that. He knew he could do this. He would fix her.

He brought his hands together, forming a single seal as he used his chakra to unwind the layers of the temporal seal. One by one, they dispersed over her neck, allowing time to flow through her once again. He brought his hands together again hurriedly, forming hand seals. Now that he had deactivated the focal point of the seal's layers, it would be unstable, without a point to anchor on, and it would unwind in a matter of minutes. If she wasn't healed by then, her body would start pumping blood straight out her neck.

She'd die.

His hands flared with chakra as he activated the Mystical Healing Hands technique, forming it into an orb and resting it over her neck. Once the wound was purified, he set to work; the blood had to be held back, and he did that, pushing it back by pure force of chakra. Pressure would start to build up, slowly, as the blood came out of stasis, but he intended to be done by then. He gathered up his chakra, anchoring it to the circular openings of the severed vein, interlocking the two parts.

Now!

It happened quickly, with an almighty surge of tightly controlled chakra that made his hands blaze brightly for a single moment. In that short span of a second, the two pieces of vein became one, stitched together by living cells that joined them as one. In that single moment, muscle and flesh knit back together, forming into a single mass that looked as smooth and pale as if she had never been injured. Tsukune felt his vision swim briefly, but he pushed those feelings away. Instead, he focused on her wounds.

The neck was healed, but there was still a bit to work with left on her face. He healed the bruises to her face and neck, smoothing out the capillaries and bringing the tiny parts together. The blood came flowing out of her, using her mouth as an exit point. It was a bit unsightly, but it was a beautiful sight considering what it meant for her health. He stitched the bone in her cheek back together; it was a simple wound, with only a crack in it, one that hadn't even shifted significantly.

Almost...

Last, but not least, he spread his chakra down into her head. He was careful not to interfere with brain function with his chakra. It was incredibly difficult to heal someone's brain with chakra. Inevitably, memories or functions were lost, wiped clean in the restoration process. If there was a way to work with the brain without damaging the mind at least slightly, he had never heard of it. The laceration in her skull came together, as clean and pure as when it first happened. She hadn't even lost much hair in the process, though the chakra had made it grow a bit erratically.

Done.

Tsukune nearly collapsed as that thought ran through his head. He had almost no chakra left in him. He took a few wavering steps, then braced himself against the wall. Perhaps it was foolish to use that much energy. He needed to do it. He needed to prove to himself that he was capable of it. And maybe, just maybe, he needed to prove to himself that he could save someone. He looked over at Hisanna, recovering from her injuries. There were still a few minor cuts and bruises, but she would be fine.

As the stasis seal unravelled, Tsukune merely sat there, his back leaning on the wall, slowly drifting towards the ground, as time reintegrated the girl into its endless stream. He couldn't believe he had managed all of that in a single day. He was normally much more cautious with his chakra reserves. If the village was attacked, he wouldn't be able to do a thing about it until he had rested some. He smiled to himself. In some senses, it was worth it. She would live, thanks to him. She wouldn't fester here, half-dead in a hospital bed.

A soft murmur from the bed caught his attention. He pushed himself up with effort, to find Hisanna's eyes open, if only barely, and a faint smile on her face. He could barely understand her words, but he knew what she meant. With a soft smile, he took her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. Then he patted her on the head and pulled the blankets over her naked form. She needed rest. He would come see her again after he had some sleep. He turned and strode from the room, a wide smile on his face.

I had obviously stricken a nerve within the elder nurse- a cowl would plant itself within the creases of my lips as I became excited to her apparent arousal. My social skills had never been anywhere near acceptable, in fact I was probably the most un-social man in the world yet I found myself easily contorting with a stranger I’d never met before in my life.

“I am sorry if I offended you, ms…?”

“Thanks son!”

Words like knives to my soul as I simply froze in place as the man stood. In my life- if I could even call it that- I’d been known as somewhat of a trouble maker; a kid who had no goals in life, but no one knew. How could they have?- Thanks was one of the things I’d never had the privilege of hearing – and the word son beckoned a sweat like no other as memories of Igozushi came back to thought. My body would tense in this moment, I could feel that I was becoming somewhat uneasy as his words brought forth memories. ‘You’re so fucking pathetic sokushii, you can’t even handle a compliment?!’- Beating myself up was easier than accepting the compliment, something that had drilled itself within my personality from a young age. My legs would straighten from underneath me as I stood to greet the next patient. My eyes would meet with that of the elder nurse’s for the second time- her facial structure reminded me a lot of myself- she could have easily been portrayed as my mother if anyone saw us standing side by side.

The thought would pass just as swiftly as the next patient entered the room. I wasn’t necessarily surprised in knowing that I would be taking on another patient.. but I wasn’t in the least bit happy with it either. I would turn to follow Shiou onto the second bed in order to analyze the patient. A long sequence of seals would engage within the center of my hands as I caught sight of this slightly disfigured young woman. A quizzical turn would manifest amongst my eyebrows. She wasn’t as unnerving as the last patient- she may have wriggled with discomfort as if being strangled from the inside, but no groans or moans to assert that she was in dire pain. Had her nerves become shot? The elder nurse would alert me that her bones had been broken during a training incident – my thoughts would encircle exactly what type of training accident could have possibly injured the entire left half of her body.

You’re not a detective sokushii… you’re a medic. Just do your job!

The pressure finally unfolding as my long sequence of seals ended. This time – a bright blue aura could be seen in the form of two orbs circling either of my hands. As Shiou backed away from her body I would glance at her once more, for some reason she’d been a totem of a sanguinary presence that flushed over me instantly as my eyes delved into her green optics. My attention would turn back to the patient – my left hand would barely graze the top of her shoulder as my right touched upon the center of her waist. It was a practitioner’s move at most, but I knew it to be the most effective when dealing with bone fractures of this caliber. My chakras would enter through her neck and draw down through her spine, collectively wrapping itself around her entire bone structure in an instant as the chakra from my other hand directed to meet it within the very center. I wasn’t sure how much pain she would feel just from the simple touches I had given her.. but broken bones was a pain even the elder nurse wouldn’t be able to alleviate fully.

All I could do now was watch and inquire.

[OOC: Very sorry- Was on duke of ed all weekend and frankly I’ve been too tired to post since I’ve come back. Back in working order now, though!]

The girl, lying on the table, was in an obvious state of distress despite having been delivered to the hospital safely- But after being what she’d been through and having received such injuries, why would someone be so calm after that? She was a pretty girl, but nothing spectacular. Roughly aged about 18 by appearance, her face was tarnished by a sheer look of shock. Obviously by her reaction it was either that she was immense pain, or she wasn’t familiar to being in hospitals, but a fair guess would be that it was probably a mixture of both factors. Her eyes opening and closing frequently, it was obvious that she was trying to keep her mind off whatever medical procedure would happen to fix her aching body. Her eyes slowly turning to gaze at the young medic who was currently taking care of her, she’d stay silent, trying her best not to make any disruptions for the medic-in-training.

“I am sorry if I offended you, ms…?”

A pause would occur as it seemed the elder medic seemed almost hesitant in responding to his request to learn of her name, although exactly the moment when she was about to speak- It seemed as if the patient seemed to twitch quite considerably, almost whimpering quite loudly over the sound of whatever echoes the black haired woman could reveal of her voice. Surely a sign for the young medic-lad to continue to try and make her feel better through the art of medical ninjutsu, there was no question as to whether she could feel the slight movements that were made by you or not- She was very responsive to each one, and it seemed as if she was perhaps in a stronger degree of pain that one would first imagine! But with Shousen healing away the problems that plagued her, his attempts were not in vain as she seemed to be getting a bit better, or at least the amount of painful expressions on her face seemed to be lessened considerably as the green glow continued to seethe from the digits of the young medic, his skill being viewed by the two others in the room, carefully tracking the progress he was making to decide whether he was fit enough to become a fully fledged medical practitioner within Kusagakure. At the moment, things were looking good, at least.

”..My name?”

Another pause, her once almost dull, expressionless face now bearing what appeared to be not a smile but perhaps a grin. She knew things, things about him that no others would dare know or understand, and yet he was asking her her name? It wasn’t that she was disappointed that he hadn’t twigged or at least voiced the thoughts that were tugging at her, but more so she found it quite entertaining how he was currently dancing around the situation despite the severity of it- The sheer consequences of what could happen should she reveal herself was mounting and perhaps it wasn’t a good thing for him to know, since, he had been living without her for the majority of his life- And he’d grown up now. Of course, for all she knew he could be a mass murderer, but he’d grown up without her, and it would be better to keep it that way, right..? Or maybe not. ”I’m sure there are more interesting questions to ask.” after a tension-filled few moments as the girl continued to be healed. The broken bones in her body soon being patched up, Shiou watched on with awe- Not that the boy showed skill that she hadn’t seen before, but she was the kind of person to be wowed at everything and anything. ”Y-your s-shousen is very powerful!” she’d comment- Her own was at the same level, but did this boy have the same skills that she andthe elder medic had?

DESCRIPTION: As a medic it's your duty to help out the village when it's in need- and it just so happens that the hospital needs your help to take care of the patients that are suddenly flowing in to the place! Heal as many people as you can whilst also keeping up the excellent medical service that Kusagakure strives to uphold. Failure is not an option and any botch job medical treatments will make the user face strict penalties!

Standing outside the imposing hospital building, Usio ran his hand down his face. How did he not see that? This mission was obviously for trained medics, and he only had the one technique. He was going to have to bluff like a champion if he was going to get through this properly. Walking up to the front entrance, he noticed that it seemed to be rather busy. This could work out in his favor. Walking in, he took notice of the people that sat in waiting. Most seemed to be cradling a wound of some sort, while others looked fine at first glance. Conflicting emotions ran about inside of him. On one hand, he was happy to be here and help those who needed it, but on the other, he worried he wasn't qualified to do much of anything.

As the staff hurried back and forth to help patients and check in new arrivals, Usio flagged one down that seemed less busy than the others. Presenting the mission slip, the woman barely gave him a look before giving it back. "Okay, we just need you to help any and all patients that come in who don't need any treatment in the form of medication or surgery. Anything like that, just get one of the nurses on staff to take them in." She spoke in a hurried tone and almost ran off when she was finished. The hospital must be hurting for medics. Well, his task was simple enough. Looking at the group, he made a mental note of who seemed hurt the least and started with them.
