While it wasn't a secret that Kirigakure was located within Mizu no Kuni it's exact location was unknown to us. From the outside looking in a person who did not know the ways of ninja might find it odd that one village would war another without this information, but such was normal within the ninja world. Villages often moved every few generations to avoid detection from their enemies, it was hard to project military power when one did not know exactly where they were attacking.

And therein was the issue, one that we ourselves would rectify. Fortunately, it wasn't actually difficult to find a hidden village, just terribly tedious. It was hard to hide an entire village effectively, and it was only a matter of time before we actually came across it. Using my World Recorder I kept a simple log of where we had been and our relative location as to that. The simplest and most effective way to find the village was to head in a direction - keeping up a good running pace, until you hit a border or coast and then rinse and repeat. Luckily, Mizu wasn't the biggest country within the world and this process wouldn't take nearly as long as it would for a country as huge and inhospitable as for instance Kaze no Kuni. I wouldn't even bother trying to find that village on my own.

Despite the two fairly sized bags at his side, Jack’s pace would remain consistent with his team’s superiors’. Matching stride for stride, he’d respond with a single “yes sir” to indicate comprehension of the command. His role to come was fairly obvious already given last night’s preparations. That said, the chuunin would simply cover their rear, providing support as needed until the appropriate time to take action had come.

Eyes peeled keenly for any abnormalities, he’d continue to sweep the surrounding perimeter for any clues that would lead to the Village Hidden in the Mist while silently trailing after the Hokage on this cross country trek.  Despite how tedious the task was, it simply had to be done.

Much like Jack, I chose to stay to Asato's rear, just in case anyone should think it wise to attempt an attack from his blind spot. Better for me to take a hit, I reasoned, than for there be any chance of him getting hurt this early in the war. I darted my eyes to and fro along the treeline, searching for any sign of movement, traps, hidden foes ... anything to make this less boring! At some point I had taken my binoculars out from my pack, but they were useless in this environment, not just because of the lack of visibility but because the awful humidity kept fogging up the lens. "Don't talk so loud," I whisper-hissed in Jack's direction. Asato should have known better as well, but I wouldn't take the time to correct him. Instead, I dropped my pace down so as not to be right next to the younger boy, taking up the true end to our line. Maybe I should have asked to go on the other mission instead.

I tried to keep the chatter brief, only speaking when there were things to speak about. On a mission ninja had to be disciplined - focused on the task at hand. This was war and soon there would be blood on each of our hands. Often I mused about what other people thought about that, the taking of a life. Youka - my wife, was not opposed to it, but how did Jack feel? Unfortunately, I couldn't remember what rank Jack was, though I figured he must be a Genin as he was led by Akuseru who was also Genin. What did one of those youth think about taking a life? Even in their own mission they had been lucky not to have to do so. Of course when it came down to it I held the hope they understood order was above everything, if ordered were ordered to take a life they had to or forfeit their own.

Mizu No Kuni was not unlike Hi No Kuni, a landscape of trees and forests - though far more humid. I could feel myself sweat underneath my garments, the humidity making the air feel sort of as though one was swimming through a layer of uncomfortable mist. There were no signs of anything resembling a village yet, but I could see evidence of some comings and goings. There were paths made by continual foot traffic through some of the wood, indicating people traveled about frequently. Assuredly, the ninja of Kirigakure did well to cover their tracks as they moved about?

It wasn't as though ninja were the only inhabitants of the world, but I had figured no one would come this far out in what was a barren forest devoid of any natural resource beyond wood. We would have to push just a bit further inland to know where the path led.

Waiting for the ill-mannered woman to slip behind him in their formation, Jack let loose a scowl of disapproval. His words were more than concise and rather quiet already yet he dare not object any further than this act of silent disapproval. It was a generally well known fact that the Hokage and this woman were considered husband and wife. Her skills, though not quite as sufficient as her latter half’s were also fairly considerable, giving the lad more reason to simply keep his yap shut than pursue the point.

With that in mind, there’d be little left to do but resign himself to moving along. Mist growing ever denser as the trio proceeded, he’d wipe a few droplets from his brow while noting their surroundings. Things had slowly become more desolate as they traversed further inland – something to be expected of an island nation of course. That said, the chuunin’s eyes had also strayed across several footprints as they ventured deeper into woods. Duly noting the fact that their band had already begun following these prints, he’d continue to remain silent while occasionally peering to his left and right out of caution.

I had lived in the dry heat of the desert and the mild warmth of the forest, but this humid weather that saturated my clothing with sweat was not something I could get over. Already I wanted to be at home in the relative comfort of my bed, reading books that I pilfered from Asato's bookcase - old tomes about summoning great god-beasts, about strange techniques, about frightfully powerful weapons. These were the things I craved, not war. Asato's crusade against this strange religion of the mist made sense given his ideals, but I could not care less about what god someone chose to worship. I did not even feel a stirring of emotion for the god our ninja had encountered among the rice paddies. I slung the binoculars around my neck and sighed, continuing to follow the two in front of me, albeit with much less enthusiasm. It would be so much easier to fly into the air like a bird and spot the village that way. Honestly, unless they were underground or something the village would be vastly different from the forest around it, and thus highly noticeable. Asato wanted to be a little more sneaky about it, sadly.

They started 100 meters away. Miyako flipped through the handsigns needed to submerge both her and her sister into the bubble. From there, it vanished, with the inside it. The camolfauge was easy in this bubble. It then soared high, foating and drifting 49 meters up. From there, it was easy to check for ninja.


The three traveled through the bog ridden forrests, trying to take their home. Swampland littered the trees, causing some to sink over the years while most stood strong. There were roads here and there, broken and underused, as most of the Mist kept to their own homes. Still, with the end of the bloodshed caused in the past, the land of water was once more active. TOO active, one might say. Of course, it wasn't too populated by trees to be unable to see the three shinobi wandering below, especially so high up. 49 meters high the two were, the Mizukage and her older sister. They were ready to fight and kill these upstarts.

The floating bubble concealed them well, but they were ready. Oh yes, they were ready.

Shirayuri stepped into the bubble created by her elder sister but only after she had flickered through a series of seals long ago. The fog had enraptured them a bit away before they drew within the 100 meter distance of their enemies. The Hidden Mist Technique was employed long before the bubble was created giving an additional layer of camouflage around their method of transportation. A thick mist was used to disguise their movements, not unlike what surrounded the Konoha Nin as they made their way to the holy land of Kirigakure. The mist employed would blend in nicely with the natural climate of the area in order to achieve maximum stealth. Its dimensions smoothly integrated into the landscape that the Konoha-Nin had no doubt been looking out for hours on end as they continued their search for the Hidden Village. Shirayuri keeled and clasped her hands together in order to activate the Tengai Houjin Technique as soon as the bubble took off. An invisible chakra barrier was extended outwards to an area of fifty meters starting from the point of origin, which was the Mizukage. The two traveled in relative silence as Miyako focused on steering the bubble and Shirayuri on finding any invaders in the area. It didn't take long for her to sense several people making their way through the area. Normally, Shirayuri would have assumed them travelers or natives but such assumptions could not be made on a day like this.

Shirayuri held up a fist telling her sister to cease the bubble's movement. Shirayuri looked back at Miyako and pointed downwards indicating that a slow descent was necessary. A single seal was formed and chakra released into the air below. The exact locations of each ninja were pinpointed with specific accuracy so that each enemy was accounted for. A series of shadows in the mist would react to their encroachment upon sovereign territory. Such was the nature of the primary strike that the prey below would notice several smoke bombs dashed on their formation. The bombs came from the left, right, front, and back each disseminating a foul mist into the air that seemed to be slowing rendering them unconscious should they choose to breath it in. The people of the Mist were known for for their foul concoctions that took the form of poisons that battered down an enemy's insides. Shirayuri would make an execution symbol by sliding a finger across her throat. The time for a direct strike was near.

Okay, shirayuri. The following text is evidence but you can pretty much get the gist of what I'm here to tell you at the bottom in the TL;DR. I was called in to make a battle ruling due to some concerns other participants had expressed. First, in future battles, you should always list your chakra and utilized jutsu (the ones you use within the post) for everyone to see as a reference for yourself, allies, and your foes ooc. Although there were a few notable violations, the biggest issue is your use of chakra in regards to the system employed on NRP.

Here is your first use of chakra within the thread. The Hidden Mist Technique consumes x2 Mid, or 60 chakra points.

Your second use of chakra. The Kekkai: Tengai Houjin (Barrier: Dome Method Formation) demands consumes a mid PER 10 meters. The barrier you used was off maximum size (50m) and thus, you consumed 150 chakra points.

Here...well, I don't know. To me, it looks like you employed another jutsu but I believe you may just misunderstood how Kekkai: Tengai Houjin (Barrier: Dome Method Formation) functions. After the hand clasp, the barrier forms and anything it touches gives direct feedback to the user. The extra seal is confusing but there's no fault there. Just a note for future use clarity for others.

So, using 60 chakra on one jutsu and 150 on another, you've used a whopping total of 210 chakra points in a single turn. Problem is that you have no history of purchasing additional chakra or cost-reducing masteries and thus, have exhausted your chakra pool of x2 Massives (200 pts.)

According to the JUTSU, CHAKRA, & EXP thread:

Additionally, at any given time should a ninja use all of their available pool they will be unable to use further jutsu. They can still function, run, jump, attack, but will be severely exasperated. Using an additional jutsu after running out of your pool represents death unless it is noted elsewhere that this should not be the case. Yes, this includes even the lowest ranked of jutsu.

So at this point, you should very well be dead and even if you weren't, the low sustain cost of the sensory jutsu would've put you to sleep.

You're over the cap and should be dead, but for the sake of the war, we'll say you're in the aforementioned near-death state. With that said, I can move on to the less obvious mistakes. You attacked on YOUR first post. That's not okay since this is your entrance into the thread. You never step into the ring without shaking hands first, that's dirty fighting. It's not thoroughly expressed Then, in your post, you mention knockout bombs. While this may be true in regards to the lore that you've forged for your village, we have no bombs with knockout smoke listed anywhere on the site. You can submit custom secondaries at any point but this is just foul play, especially since you have no smoke bombs in your inventory. From what I can tell, these bombs are coming from NPC ninja but there's no notion of these ninja even being within thread aside from:

A series of shadows in the mist would react to their encroachment upon sovereign territory.

Not sure if I'm spot on but if these are indeed ninjas, it was necessary to further clarify for your opponents. There's no clear cut guide to battling (yet) but these are things expected here since we operate under T1 RP rules. Just note that every move you make should be carefully thought out and calculated. Be aware of the mistakes you can make and the systems/rules you must adhere to.

TL;DR: You've exhausted your chakra and effectively killed yourself, but we're gonna say you're in a near-death state. You made many mistakes in regards to T1 RP and are not being punished for those; however, if any future offense happens within the thread, you will be subject to consequences. As a friendly reminder, the great Issac Newton once said: "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction," and in roleplay, this is all the same. Every move you make has potential to be taken advantage of, provide an advantage for yourself, or just be flat out negated. Use this as a lesson and learn from it.

The foot-path we followed seemed to be endless, stretching out forever in front of us covered by a canopy of trees. The land, densely covered in forest, afforded very little in terms of actually spotting something from within it. It was clear that this approach would afford us nothing more than a longer time on the search for Kirigakure. I hadn't wished to give away our position previously, but time was running thin. Akuseru, Sarutobi, and Song - Team Bravo, would be attacking the capital about this time and the confusion of an attack there would certainly give us an opportunity we couldn't miss.

"I'm going to take this to the sky."

With that I took to the sky immediately, paper wings affording me effortless flight from which I could soar above the canopy to check our surroundings more easily. I made sure to stay a reasonable distance away from the treetops, seeking a middle ground between the possibility of a surprise from a below and keeping my own form out of eyeshot. To my own surprise directly ahead there was something peculiar. While the light foggy mist around us had stayed static the entire time with no indication of weather shift, far far ahead I could see more fog roll in. This fog was far more dense and other, and beyond it's horizon I could see almost nothing. It rolled in suddenly and without cause, and although it was far too far to actually affect us in any way it put me on edge.

"There is something going on far in front of us. Jack, get to a treetop, I'm relinquishing control of one to you--" He would know what I meant.

Grabbing a large seal from my back I released it's contents with but a few waves of my hands, forcing a large artisan creature to erupt from within - one of Jack's pets. After returning the scroll back to it's holster I took precaution of my own, forging seals by which to summon forth one of my own creations, a doppleganger. I sent forward in the direction of peculiarity.

Upon hearing the kage’s words, the dark haired shinobi displayed a look of understanding within his two hazel orbs and nodded with comprehension. Given the time they had spent meandering about, chances were rather high that the other squad had already begun to engage in various activities. Haste was of the essence as the world continued to move forward.

Rather than continuing to push onwards, Jack would silently come to a halt, concealing himself at the base of a tree while waiting for additional orders. A few seconds later, having ascended beyond the tree line, Asato spoke once more, his words resulting in a broad and eager grin across the lad’s face. Fully understanding of what was to come, he’d respond with appropriate alacrity. The shinobi moved to ascend a nearby tree (one with particularly dense foliage even near the top), keeping the trunk itself between him and whatever direction Asato had been facing. Chances were rather high something had stirred their leader into action. With that in mind, it’d be best to conceal himself from that direction.

After he had arrived at the apex, it was then that a magnificent, snow white dragon materialized from the Hokage’s scroll. At first glance, this creature would appear to be a living, breathing monstrosity – something that could only be described from legend. If one were to get a much closer look however, they’d quickly come to understand the beast’s true nature and the sheer level of artistry invested into creating such a life like figure.

The creature would then move to Jack’s location, its front facing towards the mist as it angled up slightly, allowing its master to maintain a position firmly atop its back while still acting as a visual barricade. He’d then settle atop the creature. From there? The creature would ascend with little effort due to its anatomical mastery of the sky. Rising to a greater elevation than what the mist cloud ahead encompassed (for concealment of the beast was immaterial at this point), the creature moved such as to give Jack a top down view of the dome so that he might survey his surroundings. By now, it was safe to say that he lingered roughly 10 meters higher in elevation than the peak of the unnatural event while staying twenty meters off from the apex.

It was then that he’d peer more closely at the mist rising from the tree line. In doing so, Jack would notice the trends regarding expansion of the phenomena, making it clear that it spread from what he roughly estimated to be the epicenter. His eyes now focused on this singular point due to his extrapolation, he’d squint more keenly as the mist parted before his very eyes.

At this point in time, unknown to our dashing chuunin, the two Mist nin were still ascending upwards in a bubble of concealment. This same bubble, despite the visual impairment it offered for the wielder, would yield a sign of their existence to the shinobi of Konoha. Displacing the mist as it rose, the sizeable disturbance in the moving water droplets would undoubtedly come to Jack’s attention. Watching closely as the bubble moved near its intended apex, he’d inform his two comrades of the distortion as it continued to rise. “The mist parts. Something’s there.” A hand pointed directly at the phenomena below him, making it clear for Asato to see.

The excitement that bubbled in my veins when I saw Asato take flight was indescribable. Thus far, this trek had been one of the most boring missions of my life, and I had been itching to test out the capabilities of my new weapon. By the time he had ascended, I had pulled my fan off my back and spread it to its fullest glory. Blood thirst, happiness, the familiar sensation of my chakra searing through my body as I channeled it into the Kyodai Sensu. With one deft motion, I grasped the other edge of the fan and jumped into the air. Normally, this would have resulted in a swift plummet back to earth, but not so this time. My chakra - invisible to others, but so very obvious to me - coerced the wind beneath my new "wings" and I soared into the sky, next to Asato. Though I did not speak, it was clear that some strange event was occurring in the distance, and I could not afford to be unprepared. Thus, I began funneling my chakra to the areas it was most needed, waiting to strike.
