Raijin's Plateau

[Maduke Takatora]

R A I J I N ' S P L A T E A U

A rocky peninsula location on the edge of the village, Raijin's Plateau is the most famous and breath-taking arena in the whole of Kaminari no Kuni. Large stone steps guide users down to a large circular plateau (250x250) which looks over the many cylindrical mountains that rise out of the water peninsula below. The plateau itself is still high in the mountains and wispy clouds trace across its surface and form an intangible barrier around its circumference. This is a popular spot for Kumogakure shinobi to train and spar with one another or receive lessons from the village's premier instructor.

Issho Yotsuki (Martial Instructor)

MISSION RANK: C
MISSION DESCRIPTION: The first training session one usually takes with Mr. Yotsuki, this is suited towards shinobi of genin rank. Issho will teach the shinobi of the next generation how to survive in realistic combat scenario's - while tapering his skills to a suitable level for his opponent. Genin will learn nifty battle tricks and how to counter many common occurrences a ninja will find themselves in when out in the dangerous world.

MISSION RESTRICTIONS: Must be genin rank or higher


MISSION NAME: Mr. Yotsuki's Intermediate Training
MISSION RANK: B
MISSION DESCRIPTION: The second training session Mr. Yotsuki instructs, this is suited towards shinobi of chuunin rank. Shinobi at an intermediate level are already experienced ninja, so this session is all about improving one's physical and mental body in order to improve as a shinobi. With increased sparring intensity, Issho will push a ninja to hone their skills and senses against him.

MISSION NAME: Mr. Yotsuki's Advanced Training
MISSION RANK: A
MISSION DESCRIPTION: The pinnacle of training underneath Kumogakure's premier instructor, this is suited towards shinobi of jounin rank. To reach this level one is already an esteemed shinobi in their own right and Issho welcomes the participant as an equal. In this advanced session he will go all out pushing the participant to go beyond their own limits in order to reach new heights. After completing this mission you are one of the few to complete Mr. Yotsuki's famous "Training". 
MISSION REWARD: 100 EXP & 10,000 RYO
MISSION RESTRICTIONS: Must be jounin rank or higher. Must have completed Mr. Yotsuki's C and B rank missions.

LIGHTNING MAKES NO SOUND UNTIL IT STRIKES

They would have never seen their Raikage like this before. Dressed in a tight yellow singlet with dark baggy pants, nothing the man wore alluded to the title of Lightning Shadow. In fact, his appearance was more akin to that of a regular shinobi training on the plateau, unassuming and common, exactly how he wished to express himself.

Early morning was the best time of day for Maduke to fit in some training. It wasn't simply that Benkai knew to keep his schedule clear for the morning to allow time, it was more the hour itself, its beauty and stillness, that drew him in. Looking off to the east over the cloudy capped mountains the suns light rose as it cut through the thick haze of the atmosphere. Looking out over the plateau he could see that dawn was breaking, the warmth from the sun heating his body. The sky in the opposite direction was still dark, but in the east, a mix of yellow and orange hovered on the horizon under a dark neon blue ocean of night. Against this tri-coloured sky all trees, rocks, and even mountains were like shadows. 

It was for this reason that he requested those two shinobi to meet him here and at this time. 

"Raikage-Dono have you had enough? Let's go another round" a voice taunted from behind him. Turning his face, beads of water dripped from his sweat-soaked silver hair. "I'm twice your age Issho, have you no shame? Maduke replied in jest.

"I only give what I think is best, sir, you know this. Besides, this all under your instruction. I believe you wanted to get in shape to lead a squad this year an--"

"--Yes yes. Issho you are right." Maduke interrupted as the soles of his feet shifted on the earth below. Quickly rotating his waist, he turned to the man throwing a surprise punch aimed directly at his face. However Issho reacted quicker as his hand rose up to block the punch inches from his face, his palm wrapping around the closed fist of the Raikage. 

"Oh damn. I was sure that would you catch you out." He said disappointingly, but still with a mischievous smile etched across his face.

"ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh." Makoto was very sluggish this morning. But she was also nervous, and for that her face was simply a mixture of disdain of the early morning and nervousness for what was about to come. She had been... summoned to a great place in Kumogakure no Sato - Raijin's plateau. She had never actually been there before (except for one trip in the academy) but usually trained in other places, it was a little... tasteless for her. A round platform. It had a nice view - but it was just a large... round platform. As she was getting ready, pulling on her boots (which seemed to take all the more energy in the morning) she noticed the mist outside- the early morning wasn't for her.

She had gotten stuff done yesterday - met with the Raikage, handed in a mission and had also had her last dinner with her family. They would now be leaving her alone. In her own apartment - that was something to be proud of. She was pulling on her jacket now, and then over that her scarf. She locked the door behind her, and made her way. The air outside this morning was biting at her skin - deathly cold... but not only that, Humid. The wind didn't make it any better.

However, despite her nose feeling like it wanted to freeze off, the cold air was helping her wake up. And she walked to her destination, pulling out the more crumpled piece of paper that the Raikage-sama had given her yesterday. She had looked over it a multitude of times yesterday - and it was almost like a dream that this was happening. Though, -what- was happening was unaware to her. Training session? Was she going to be lectured on philosophy? A quest, mission or something of the like? It was weird for her. She finally arrived at the spot - and looked out upon the land and saw it's beauty.

She looked out upon the battlefield in front of her - it was still fairly dim... but the light was slowly rising up. In her distance (and yet, at the top of the stairs it was still a fair way away from her) she saw two Shinobi fighting. Rather than being afraid or suspicious - she watched and observed intently from what she could see. 

She began descending the stairs - wiping her nose as she descended - keeping her eyes on the action. It was fucking cold - but beautiful all along. She saw the sun beginning to rise - further and further. It was slow, but it was an absolute truth that it would always be moving. It took her a while among all of the steps for her to reach the bottom. She had finally reached the bottom of the stairs when the pair had come to their ultimatum. 

It was the Raikage and somebody else. Was this to prove something? She didn't actually... know.  She closed the distance so that she could talk comfortably. By now, the cold air had woken her system. "Raikage-Sama." she spoke from underneath the scarf, taking another bow- and nodded at the other Shinobi out of respect. If they were sparring, it meant this one was on some sort of level to play against the Raikage and worthy of recognition. She did not know him, though.

Another annoyance. A diversion from Seishin's other worldly duties. It had been on countless patrols, following up on leads from a threat slowly making itself apparent. War was erupting throughout numerous lands, many of the insects Seishin had set out into the surrounding lands of Kumogakure were beginning to report refugees moving through Kaminari no Kuni, in hopes of shelter. Seishin had been warding them off for sometime now, as It followed up on other leads to the threat in Konoha. It hadn't reported to the Raikage quite yet, and part of It wondered if this was the reason behind the sudden invitation. Had the leader of the Hidden Cloud taken insult to Seishin operating without his leave on behalf of the village?

Wearing it's usual orange jumpsuit, covering most of it's facial features, save for it's bland eyes and shaggy black hair, Seishin stepped up the stone carved stairs leading to the meeting place. The trained insects within it's apparell writhed with each step. adjusting themeselves to comfort. Sei remembered at one time the skittering across it's skin would only serve to irritate or annoy It. Now it was the only comfort The Man With Black Glasses had afforded it before his untimely demise.

Fluttering insects had escaped it's clothing to survey the steps ahead. So it was already aware of the 3 figures that stood ahead. Increasing it's gate and pace, Seishin would hurry to the plateau of the mountain. It had no idea who the other two figures were, and a flicker of anxiety slithered through It's chest at a grim thought. Whether they were executioners, or shinobi previously gathered there before the Raikage, Seishin had assumed It had been summoned to meet the Raikage alone, as their meetings had always been.

Finally reaching the peak, Seishin would slow down, and hop up the final step to the plateau. Indigo eyes so dark they could be mistaken for black surveyed the scene. One of the faces besides the Raikage seemed familiar. Had she encountered this girl somewhere within the village? The Raikage himself was donning an outfit not very comely of his position. Workout apparell? So they had been summoned to spar then.

A inaudible breath of relief pushed from It's chest. Today was not It's day to die.

LIGHTNING MAKES NO SOUND UNTIL IT STRIKES

A flurry of kicks and punches came his way as Maduke lived up to his title, ducking and dodging what his partner threw at him as if he were a shadow. In the cool air of the early morning his breath was visible and the only trail left by his movements, as it floated still in the air before fading.

Even short intensive workouts at this altitude were exhausting. The thin mountain air lacked the same oxygen found at lower levels, making the blood move slower as it circulated the body. While all Kumogakure natives were acclimatized to live in these heights, the plateau's location afforded an area to train the body for a competitive advantage. Maduke had been coming to this location for many decades, training his body in the clouds so it could endure more on the surface below. 

It was only when he heard a call for him that his concentration broke. The Raikage stopped his action to turn to the noise causing Issho to pause mid-punch and step back. "Oh, Makato, hi there!" he said with equal parts surprise and enthusiasm, too much for how early it was. Wiping sweat from his brow he grabbed a towel passed to him by Issho and held it to his face and wiped his glasses. 

After a couple of dabs he swung the towel around his neck to rest over his shoulders. By this time Seishin had just arrived causing Maduke to barrel another welcome out. "Seishin, good to see you received my notice.." he spoke with a smile before turning to Issho and then back to the two shinobi.

"I guess we're all here then, very good. The first training session for Team Raikage can start." The training was a proposition they might have both expected by the location and his appearance, but he hadn't informed either of his intentions to form a team, and gave them little time to digest it before speaking once again. 

"Oh, and of course, you will be team mates from now on. So...turn to your neighbour and introduce yourself" he said with a hearty chuckle referring only to the two shinobi that took his invitation.

Issho turned to the Raikage and introduced himself jokingly, taking Maduke's words for his own game. "Hi I am Issho-san, Head martial instructor for the village."

The Raikage looked at him shaking his head, giving the kind of look a father gives his son when they need a clip around the ear.

She smiled back at the Raikage with his greetings to her. It actually irritated her- his chirpiness for the mornings. It was even worse that he looked as though he could pass for her father's father - and was more energetic than herself. She would hardly mention it lest any form of help she might receive recede back into oblivion. "Good Morning, Raikage-Sama."

When the last person arrived, she had heard his steps from behind - it seemed rushed. He was a lot shorter than her - who seemed to have almost a head's difference on him. He was.... he looked... tired. She gave the slightest of nods, much less so than the other two. It was a subconscious and horrible tendency - it was probably due to the perceived age difference between them.  And too, just like she had been the Raikage had greeted him as well - Seishin was his name. 

As the Raikage spoke he had essentially given away what was the initial reason for them being here. A team?!? Team Raikage? She could've literally jumped up and down for joy. She settled for giving a toothy grin, but otherwise said nothing of the situation. This was... interesting news to her - she had never really settled in with a group for a team. But to be in a team with the Raikage as her instructor? It was only going to go up from hereon out. After Issho had given his name, Makoto's lips parted - to begin speaking, but then they closed.

She gave her next words thought, and she turned to her neighbour, but was otherwise positioned so that everybody was involved. "I am...-" she stopped, unsure of whether to actually speak or not. She gave herself the affirmation. "My name is Senju Makoto. Nice to meet you." 

It was out there.

Seishin's eyes quickly danced over the apparent female to it's right, but gave no indication of interest. It simply turnbed it's head back to the Raikage, whomever she was, it was sure her importance would be made apparent eventually. Though Sei's stoic manner broke for a second, as the Raikage told them why they had gathered.

Not sparring, but assembling a team? The thought passed through Seishin's mind, and It weighed it with current events. Seishin was known in the village, but not loved. So a team was It was never apart of any team, or cooperative ops. Was this a response to the growing threat of war, and the foreign threat looming over Kaminari no Kuni? Or did the Raikage simply want to live out his fantasy of playing team leader?

Either way, it seemed Seishin would have to put it's own operations on ice for now. It couldn't risk alerting the Raikage to it's movements. The battle with Naitome had left an odd taste in it's mouth, as well as with a few scars. Scouting out his retreat had not been easy, and Seishin was just beginning to make some ground with it when the Raikage summoned it.

Stupid....

That was the only thought Seishin could muster on the situation. The Raikage knew of It's disdain with greetings, and in this particular situation the whole thing seemed useless. He had already blurted out Seishin's own name, and Makoto's would have been exposed in some fashion as time pass on. Nonetheless, it seemed this joke of a meet and greet wouldn't pass along until it gave in to the Raikage's little charade.

"Seishin..... Kousaino...."

It said with a roll of it's eyes. Already, Sei was not looking forward to the grouping. Sei was a sweeper, a guardian of the village working in it's favor whether the raikage knew it or not, this would only be a hindrance, but perhaps it could be a hindrance to forwards It's own plans.

LIGHTNING MAKES NO SOUND UNTIL IT STRIKES

I've seen more excitement at a funeral he thought as he looked on blankly at the two. It was early in the morning, maybe they weren't used to being up at this hour? Then again, the weird ones always seemed to make the most talented ninja. With that he thought it best to continue the proceedings. 

"Takatora Josuke will be the final member of this cell, however my grandson is still in the hospital recovering so we'll make do."

The Raikage walked up closer to the two shinobi before speaking again. The sun rose behind him as the darkness continued to fade, bathing the plateau in light through the low floating clouds. "I have chosen you three to form a special cell under my command, we will be conducting missions of the highest importance to the village. Only a select few are to know of the true purpose of this cell, as its eventual aim..."

He paused for a moment as Issho caught his eye, as if in anticipation of what he was about to say, straight-faced and much more serious than he was moments ago, "...of reviving C.R.O.W". 

His beady onyx eyes fell on his two young students for a quick moment, to gauge their reaction to the term. Had they heard it before? he wondered. Had they heard of the Crow's High Mountain on Mt. Esquiva or of the mysterious Akegarasu? Knowledge of mountain was common and tales of the Akegarasu has been passed through the village for decades by travelers and caravan families but none had ever ventured there. Or so the many thought. 

"But that can be explained another time" he said darting from the subject. "First, a spar is in order..." he lowered his tone and looked at them both expectingly "...I need to see whether you're both right for the position and can work together."

So she was going to be working with the stationary and probably tired other Shinobi, she dismissed that - probably tired. Just like her. But as they were being briefed the smile on her face seemed to grow. They were essentially like a sleeper unit - if anything she was already an ANBU! Doing stuff in coordination with the village's needs and desires and under a shadow. 

She was confused. Crow? Was that for the ANBU that she wanted to become later on in her life? This was something unbeknownst to her. "Crow?" her facial features exposed pretty much everything they needed to know. Before she could ask for any explanation it was spoken of and dealt with. She would have to contend with being in the dark for now, and the slightest pout emerged on her face. 

She wondered about their last person: Josuke. Their Grandson? It must've meant something for the longevity of their team. Being picked for something for the first time. She did not regret having gone to the Raikage a day earlier. But it seemed a little... coincidental? That she was just in time for a team? She put the thought behind her.

Quit being so childish. She scolded herself, straightened out her uniform and put her hands behind her back. "Yes, Raikage-sama." if there was anything additional to add she would hear it first. She turned to her partner. "Against whom?" was it the Raikage, the Jōnin to his side or her other cell member? Either way, it would be in her favour to know what they were capable of: She was a long ranged fighter who changed the environment to her advantage, and she possessed Doton and Suiton.

[authors note: I'm dropping the "It" stuff because people are guessing Sei isn't a boy too quickly.. So from now on it's just a "He"]

He didn't even blink at the mention of C.R.O.W. There was no need to feign a reaction, when Seishin was ignorant of who, or what that was. Still, if the Raikage had assembled a group to investigate the matter, Seishin would play along as long as he needed. One should never show their ignorance. Though he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the fact that the Raikage's grandson would be joining the team as well

Soon, the Raikage moved on to another topic. Sparring. And while the notion lit a spark of excitement deep inside of Sei, the stoic mask that was his face betrayed nothing. How long had it been since he cut himself loose? Since that bout with Naitome? It had to be. Seishin had been severely restricting his movements while under the ever watchful eye of the Raikage. The village was a filled with a myriad of spies and tattletales alike that would love nothing better than to spoil all his hard work. He wasn't loved in the village, but he was a interesting commodity to anyone who caught his gaze, and they would be a bit more likely to peer into his personal matters if done out in the open.

Sauntering from foot to foot, Seishin blinked at his company as a slight wind wafted over the mountain top. The passengers beneath his jumpsuit writhed with the thought of battle, as Seishin heard his companion, and apparent teammate, question who they would be sparring against. Was it not obvious? Indigo eyes shot two the two grown men standing adjacent from them. These two were surely the ones they would have to face. They were going to be tested on their teamwork, a fact Seishin despised, which meant coordinating with one another in combat. There was only one (or rather two thousand) partner the somber lad wanted to pair with, and they were beginning to leek out in a black, grey like haze from his collar, and both sleeves. The insects made hardly any noise as they rose forth, and danced around their owner. Seishin flashed a look to Makoto, then back to the Raikage, as if to answer her question.

"....I dont.. have time for this..."

LIGHTNING MAKES NO SOUND UNTIL IT STRIKES

"Oh, against Issho and I of course."

He said as a smile gleaned from his face. Pulling the towel from around his shoulders he threw it off to the side as it cut through the slight breeze in the air before falling. It seemed that neither of them had heard of C.R.O.W which pleased Maduke. It would be easier this way.

Looking at his two students he noticed the readiness wash over them when a spar was mentioned. How wonderful, he thought, as he witnessed the black beetles swarm around the young Aburame as he moaned about it all. His minions seemed to be more excited than he was,  but Maduke liked that about Seishin. The village had a culture for pranksters and jokers who were all in a competition to better one another. But Seishin, his moodiness cut through all of that like a hot knife through butter. It always seemed to make the Raikage laugh the most.

Releasing a slight chuckle he looked across at Issho who was waiting on his command. While Maduke's breaths were slightly heavy still, Issho seemed fine as he looked on at the Raikage, waiting for the signal to begin.

"Alright" he almost shouted as his loud voice swallowed the silence atop Raijin's Plateau. Dawn was fading as the new light of the day shone down upon Kumogakure's elite. Coughing, he straightened his voice out to sound more like Issho. "Mr. Yotsuki's Intermediate Training will now begin..."

As his words trailed off the Raikage's stance widened in the dirt below as he leap't from his position towards Makoto in an attempt to close 3 meter distance, the palm of his hand resting atop his blade's hilt.

Upon watching the Raikage, Issho launched himself from his position also, except this time towards the beetle covered Seishin. They would test these new recruits in the good old fashioned Kumogakure way. By giving them a good ass-whipping.

"Come on! show me what you've got," he shouted, in an attempt to get their adrenaline racing and blood boiling.

So it was a 2v2 fight. That was entirely fine with her; but she was nervous. Who wouldn't be? Her only solace could be found in the fact that they had been sparring before they started and that they would have the slightest advantage from that, or so she believed. Everything seemed relatively peaceful until the fight had started. "Wah-!!" she yelled, being caught by surprise of the Raikage's vision and her being the target of the single most powerful man in the village. 

They weren't going to be given a lot of time to think about their actions and from this reason Makoto sprung into action - they had not started a fight with a favorable amount of distance between their two opponents; for a back-line fighter such as Makoto... it was not opportune. But she had a technique to fight against such a situation... where she could be given time to perform another technique. Where the Raikage was quickly enroaching on her - she performed her own singular handseal and began to move.

Instead of kiting backwards, she tried her best to move to the left of everybody - having her eyes on the Jōnin and the Raikage at the same time. But obviously the Raikage beelining for her - she could only resort to her usual repertoire. Anything that she could do would have to be done quickly - there would be no chance to perform any clever onslaught in the midst of a battle. She wasn't exactly a strategist. 

Having held the hand sign - as someone who was incredibly quick at it, when the Raikage came into a meter of her, her skin began turning noticeably dark - like she had suddenly took an extremely dark tan in the few moments there had been between the starting advance and current distance. Maybe the Raikage had seen this technique, and yet, maybe he hadn't. Her hands went lower, till they were both ninety-degree angles at the elbow and clenched her fists a few inches from her abdomen - like she was holding something of some kind. Her first and initial attack would be to rush into the Raikage's space pending any form of defence with the hand upon his sheath.

It was going to be a taijutsu battle: something that Makoto could confidently say she was bad at. But she had a surprise waiting for him if he thought it pleasant to fight in close combat.

Chakra Consumption: High to cast, Mid to sustain
Domu is a Ninjutsu technique which utilizes the Earth Element. After performing a single handseal, the user flows chakra through all parts of their body. Their skin becomes noticeably darker as earth is infused with it, granting them a higher defensive power. Furthermore, the destructive power of physical attacks is increased, making this a great all-purpose technique. Not many techniques can breech the areas hardened by Domu, excluding its undeniable weak point: Lightning Element ninjutsu.

Note: Domu cannot be penetrated by techniques that are of equal or lower rank, but will be penetrated by techniques that are of higher ranks. All physical attacks (punches, kicks) will have an increased damage potential because of the hardness of the user's skin.

iNFESTATION OF THE STORM.

Seishin had been prepared for battle from the start. Though he had feared it would end in his death, not be the prerequisite to joining a team. Still the idea of battle did very little to to excite the chuunin, that is until the Raikage launched himself at Makoto with one long leap. The minute he saw it, he knew Issho would follow suit, and as the only available opponent, Seishin tensed himself, and set the insects passively buzzing around him ablaze. He was determined to meet Issho half way with his sprint, releasing a small burst of chakra to get there faster ¹. He accelerated at speeds even some Jounin had a problem matching. The insects took off with himm following like a dark haze. Seishin looked like a harbinger of a coming storm, the dark clouds of insects reaching out and twisting to his command.

Half the insects in Seishin's cluster ( roughly 500) would reach around him and shoot off towards the Jounin, possibly meeting him before Seishin himself did, but not obstructing his view of the shinobi. The others would stick close to the boy like a shroud. Hiding his own movements and slight gestures, but allotting his opponent a view of his blank, stoic eyes.

Seishin's chakra swirled with his approach and he would have been prepared for anything. Was Issho a close combat fighter? A jutsu specialist? The thrill of the unknown fueled Seishin even more, and a pale hand reached within his jumpsuit. He was prepared for whatever counter, or assault the Jounin could throw at him.

Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique used across the shinobi world by all, ranging from the most basic shinobi to the legends of lore. Considered a high-speed movement technique - to an observer caught in the optical illusion, it appears as if the user has teleported. This allows the user to escape or attack suddenly, should they need to. However, while a high-speed movement, if used in broad daylight, one will still be quite visible and as such, easier to be defended against. In order to achieve maximum effect, the user must combine it with a distraction.

Note: Despite popular belief, this is not an ability that allows an individual to teleport, or even move incomprehensibly fast. It simply combines high mobility with some disruption of visibility to conceal those movements. That in mind, if you can conceal your movement, it is common for this technique to allow very long-distance dashes before enemies may notice you.

LIGHTNING MAKES NO SOUND UNTIL IT STRIKES

Like a twin-forked river the two parties split from one another as the Jounin went after their younger counterparts. The dusty surface of the plateau rattled as the action commenced causing the traces of cloud that snaked around their heels to dissipate. All alone, underneath the morning sun and surrounded by the clouds of Kaminari they trained for betterment.

The Raikage had closed the small distance between him and Makato in a matter of moments, his onyx eyes focused on her behind his signature spectacles. He knew her strengths and weaknesses already, but only what he had read on paper. She was a mid-to-long range fighter excelling in elemental ninjutsu. He wanted to see how she handled herself in close-quarters and how she would then create distance between them. Watching her form a single seal the skin of the young kunoichi darkened as the proud Raikage raised an eyebrow. Domu... he thought. Nice choice.

As Makato shuffled to the left he had tracked her movement to stay direct in front of her. As the earth chakra scaled her exterior she would find her Raikage a few inches from her front, his knee's crouched in an attempt to propel himself with upward force. "Good Makato, let's test that defense" he voiced simultaneously with unsheathing his blade. Drawing his katana he would strike horizontally¹ across her chest before sheathing his blade once again, all of which happening near-instantly.

Concurrently, the plan devised by Issho to combat Seishin would fall under a similar vein to the Raikage. Maduke had advised him of Seishin's skillset, another shinobi who preferred distance in battle to maximize his strength. So when Seishin charged directly for Issho the excitement was evident on his face. Rarely did anyone charge directly at Kumogakure's Blue Beast, let alone a ninjutsu specialist. Had he never heard of him before? Issho would teach him a lesson of overconfidence.

With his speed and direction never faltering, even despite witnessing Seishin's action toward him, the swarm of insects arrived to Issho moments before Seishin's Shunshin no Jutsu. Ignoring their action, his momentum allowed him to move through the swarm and with a raised fist² square to his shoulder he would time his punch perfectly for Seishin's reappearance.

As kumogakure's premier Taijutsu instructor basic punches and kicks held terrifying strength. Without an adequate defense, Seishin would find himself propelled backward by the force of a punch which was aimed directly for his face.

She was surprised at how willingly close the Raikage would get - and it was at such a state that she could even smell him. It was a dry, almost sour smell of sweat that had cooled, and sweat some more. Bitter to the tongue she would have guessed.

As the Raikage would attempt his move - knowing that for the most part she (hoped) would be safe - her hands came up as fists around her breasts. It was almost stupid - having completely left her neck wide open, but they seemed to be more important for some ungodly reason. Knowing the distance between them wasn't all that bad, as that was happening she brought her own right foot up, almost like how a military salute would begin - and attempt to slam the sole of her boot sideways into the top of his left foot. It would be of no concern if it hit or not - 

But by god - if that wasn't a strike that wasn't fast enough for her to catch, she would've been miffed at the Raikage. The cut across her clothing was as plain as day - through her jacket, below her strap across her strap but around her breast area - any visible skin to the Raikage was dark brown, that had followed suit with her face as the technique took it's place. Luckily for her, and Makoto would've almost taken the the Raikage for a lecher if her clothes would start falling apart, exposing her breasts. "I think it suffices, Raikage-sama." she spoke, jumping back to try and gain some space- with her hands further away from her body, making a large sort of U shape connected to her body, but with far sinister and empty implications as her hands deftly came together to mock some seals.

Domu is a Ninjutsu technique which utilizes the Earth Element. After performing a single handseal, the user flows chakra through all parts of their body. Their skin becomes noticeably darker as earth is infused with it, granting them a higher defensive power. Furthermore, the destructive power of physical attacks is increased, making this a great all-purpose technique. Not many techniques can breech the areas hardened by Domu, excluding its undeniable weak point: Lightning Element ninjutsu.

Note: Domu cannot be penetrated by techniques that are of equal or lower rank, but will be penetrated by techniques that are of higher ranks. All physical attacks (punches, kicks) will have an increased damage potential because of the hardness of the user's skin.
