With the war over there was a lull, a sense of peace, and finally time for leisure activity.
Konoha's underground highway was vast and nearly unending, connecting every portion of the village together with large dark tunnels. The tunnels themselves were used for other things, rooms and facilities littered about dug out from sections of the tunnels, all locked to normal ninja. Though most of these rooms were fairly mundane a select few were used as training facilities, harboring isolated environments for ninja to train specific skills outside of the base curriculum of the academy. There was a training room that was dark and ladened with obstacles to emulate a night scenario, there was a room that was filled with nothing but water to emulate a water battle, and so on. Though relatively simple conceptually Konoha held these facilities in high regard, allowing it's ninja to be exposed to almost every situation imaginable.
Beyond this there were rooms created chiefly for my own use, such as the one I had been using now. The room itself was large and empty, the walls, ceiling, and floor padded with a durable material to allow for bodily impact without harm. It was but a simple training room to the naked eye, but on command I could forge it into anything. The durable material I spoke of was not felt, foam, or feather - but paper, a special paper which retained it shape far more effectively than any normal piece, becoming rigid when not exposed to chakra anymore - rather than the opposite.
Youka had undergone a monumental change since we had been back, becoming one with her cat Calypso - a totally new being. Though I had seen her just before and during the ritual; I had not seen her after. There would be some physical changes - I was told, some that may or may not change fundamental aspects of Youka. While this fact was somewhat concerning, I knew it was what she wanted. I myself had already bonded with Calypso on a level I hadn't with any other animal prior, accepting her place in our family.
