[Arcine The Gambler]

Arcine walked away from the Hokage's castle with a very casual gait, his steps relaxed and his expression accurately described
as 'bored'. The Forest of Death surrounding the village was a dangerous place, even for experienced ninja like himself,
and it was even worse with the arrival of various bandit groups throughout. According to the slip of paper in hand, one of
the larger groups had taken up camp near the main road, and was causing quite a bit of difficulty for passing caravans and groups.
He had been told to eliminate them.

He pocketed the slip of paper and made a quick stop at his home, gathering his gear and changing into more suitable clothes.
Commonly he wore very simple outfits, black and white that fit his form well, but for a mission he always changed into looser,
more free moving clothing. He loved risks, but inhibiting yourself in such a fashion wasnt something he would do. Grabbing
the last of his gear, and setting off finally. 

Arcine knew that the bandits were camped near the main entrance, but that would be too obvious to travel by.
If there was something he knew, it was to not underestimate his foes and in his head he knew that any worthy
bandit crew would have lookouts. He left onto the main road, and immediately he vanished among the trees. The darkness
of the thick forest providing quick and ample coverage as he traveled. Lunging from tree to tree his trained eyes tracked
through the forest to look for signs of bandits and such. There. A tree stump, recently downed.

Coming to a stop alongside the stump, he could easily tell it was a recent take. The surrounding trees damaged to an
extent from the falling tree. The bandits clearly hadn't tried very hard to hide their presence... Arcine heard something behind
crack. Spinning around he came face to face with a rugged looking man, a long scimitar in his hand and an angry glare.
The man held his blade out at Arcine, preparing to strike him down.

"And who might you be, ninja?"

"And who might you be, ninja?"


Arcine barely moved a muscle as the man stared him down. Idiot! Leaving cover without looking around, rookie mistakes! 
The bandit began to slowly walk towards Arcine, his weapon at the ready. Arcine counted in his head, the mans steps,
how many second he had been traveling, and how far he moved with each step. Measured, calm analysis of the man.

"I asked, who are you?!"

Arcine suddenly burst into movement, a simple Shunshin allowing him to vanish into the tree branches once again. 
The forest was dark, and the man was hardly an expert at dealing with shinobi, so this caught him off guard as he 
looked around worriedly. With two quick hand seals, Arcine swung his hands together and clapped. The noise was
jarring, loud and harsh from the relative silence as a set of 5 sound bullets sprung from his hands. 
The poor bandit never knew what hit him, the bullets ripping into his head and throat, killing him near instantly. 
Normally the attack wouldn't quite so effective, but by aiming for the easily pierce neck of an unaware target, 
he had no issue silencing the bandit.


Slipping from his location once again, Arcine quickly went down to the bandit and with a flourish of a kunai made
sure he was dead before he dragged the body away, hiding it among the forest where the vicious predators would made quick work of it.
He continued along his path now, as quitely as he could until he came across the bandit's camp. From the forest, he could hear them from quite a ways out. And based on the sounds he heard, there were plenty of them there.


How unfortunate for these bandits that he was chosen to handle this mission, as he already had a plan in mind.
One that could handle with the mass quickly and efficiently. These bandits would regret choosing the hidden leaf
to harass, and they would regret ever making them their enemies.

He'd make them pay for their crimes.


Arcine crouched in a tree as he overlooked the bandit camp, his eyes scanning through the darkness before 
he vanished into the darkness once again. He quietly moved through the forest before climbing into a rather large tree. 
Standing a short distance into the woods from the camp, he began to focus his chakra. Bringing up a single
hand seal, he began his work. he whispered quietly as he released the genjutsu. 
"Nehan Shouja no Jutsu"

This genjutsu in question was quite powerful, although it wasn't unheard of. 
The technique itself was a sleep based genjutsu, enshrouding the area, and those within, with
a powerful illusion. While unexpected, it was quite difficult for anyone to avoid the effects, and within 
5 minutes, the camp was unconcious. 

"Too easy..."

It was time to enact his mission, and he was ready to unleash his powers.
Just one more jutsu, and his mission would be done. He began making seals,
preparing to strike.

He would end this now.
They had harmed his village, drew their attention, then attacked him.
He would end them.


His genjutsu had proven effective, lulling the camp to sleep in the middle of the day.
There was silence, save for the wind and animals. It was almost peaceful, but he would put an end to that.
He was halfway through with performing the fatal jutsu, but he remembered a section of the mission.
He needed ample evidence that he had eliminated the camp... how annoying.
Venturing silently into the camp, Arcine slit the throats of the few bandits he walked past while they slept.
Deep gashes, silencing them as they found themselves dying quickly. It was their fault for targeting the leaf.


Arcine continued walking until he approached a larger than usual tent, bearing a crest on the front, he assumed
it was the command tent. Entering, he looked around and lo and behold, a well armored bandit was
laying a top a large desk. There were papers scattered about it, and spilled ink showed he had been in the middle
of some work, but Arcine didn't care. He walked up, and with a flick of his wrist killed the bandit leader then and there.
His documents ruined with blood... oh well. Not like he needed them anymore. With that Arcine 
searched the leader before deciding on what to take, removing the bandit leader's head with the leaders own sword.


Once he was done he left the camp, then dropped the head and turned around. 7 seals was all he needed, "Haisekishou!"
In a flurry of seals, the shinobi released a giant ash cloud from his mouth, quickly covering the camp, and awakening the 
bandits within with the choking ash. It wouldn't matter, their fate was sealed. The bandits were slow to react,
stumbling to their feet as the shinobi dashed into the forest once again. Then with a click of his teeth,
the entire camp vanished within a ball of flames.
