The purpose of these items is to help clarify just what sort of tools a player may have available to them at any given time. Because they could come in many varieties, a base kit is proposed with several examples given underneath. In general these items are used by non-ninja or to supplement ninja supplies and thus there is no Supply Kit: Shinobi. Because there could be a massive variety of supply kits, new ones would need to be proposed and similarly itemized before being obtained.
The last item, a deluxe supply kit functions on the idea that if a character purchased a high quality item it probably came with many of the items that might be proposed later, but they simply didn't think of it. Because the basic supply kit is completely itemized as opposed to giving a general idea, a deluxe kit can be created. If player A purchases the basic kit for 2,000 Ryo because they already own a radio, tracker, and world map (8,000 ryo) they save quite a bit of money. If player B purchases the deluxe kit for 15,000 Ryo, it could be said that they wasted an additional 5,000. However lets say new items are made later:
Climbing Spikes: 3,000
Grappling Hook: 2,000
Machete: 2,000
Emergency Rations: 3,000
If both players wanted to obtain these items, the first would need to spend 10,000 additional Ryo, while the second would obtain them for free saving a total of 5,000 ryo (since her original purchase put him down by 5,000)
Basic Supply Kit[/u]
Rank: C
Type: Accessory/Supplemental
Special: Kits are filled with basic level of supplies that may not warrant being purchased singularly. These kits are used so that a character can be said to have the generic 'tools of the trade' for situations that may call for them.
Description: The shape and size of a basic supplies kit varies with what exactly it is composed of, but in general the items are considered specific for the job they are used for and don't contain many high-class or multi-purpose items. These kits tend to come in general fields (I.e Supply Kit: Medical, not Supply Kit: Doctor or Nurse) and can fill the same role for most characters. The items in the kit are considered C rank or below.
Cost: Varies [Generally 1,000 – 3,000 ]
Basic Supply Kit: Medical[/u]
Rank: C
Type: Accessory/Supplemental
Special: This kit is for anyone with interest in helping to aid others. It contains mostly 'fluff' items and not miracle medicines or cures that would be extremely useful in combat situations.
Description: Medical supply kits are essentially the big brother to first-aid kits. They contain items like gauze, tweezers, a stethoscope, thermometers, sterilized materials and sterilizing agents. Medicines included in this kit would be for things like fevers, headaches, common colds, or poisoning caused from common sources. This kit would not contain items for use against jutsu higher than C rank, and in a situation where it does contain a cure, the treatment would likely be one that had to be administered over time before symptoms disappeared.
Cost: 2,500
Basic Supply Kit: Cooking[/u]
Rank: C
Type: Accessory/ Supplemental
Special: This kit is for anyone who wishes to carry the necessities of cooking with them. While it contains items such as knives, they are for culinary use and cannot match up to an actual weapon.
Description: A somewhat bulky set of equipment filled with all the tools one would need to prepare meals. Although these kits are designed to be portable, they may contain pots, pans, and cutlery. The kit does not provide a source to cook with, but herbs and spices are included. These kits can be contained in a variety of fashions, but most come either rolled in their serving cloth, protected by a case, or with a small backpack designed to be attached to a full-sized one.
Cost: 2,000
Basic Supply Kit: Travel[/u]
Rank: C
Type: Accessory
Special: This kit is for anyone who travels from place to place. It contains a few of the essentials.
Description: These kits supply the possessor with a backpack, sleeping bag, compass, canteen, standard watch (for time of day) and steel with a chunk of flint only. The canteen holds roughly a quart of fluid. The backpack and sleeping bag are treated to survive most rough conditions, but not extreme cold or fire.
Cost: 2,000
Deluxe Supply Kit: Travel[/u]
Rank: B
Type: Accessory
Special: A special-made deluxe kit that contains all of the items needed by the individual along with a few luxury items. The main draw of this kit is possible discount and the ability to obtain new items.
Description: A better version of the basic supply kit, this kit comes with all the items contained within the lesser version. Additionally, this kit contains a World Map, a single radio, and a tracker. As with all Deluxe Supply Kits, possessors of this kit will automatically obtain items related to travel created and available to the general public as long as they are C rank or below. In the case of stackable items, only one pack is obtained for free.
Cost: 15,000
