◀ Missions
In the organized society of the villages, ninja are given Missions depending on their rank. The missions are categorized in five ranks, based on the mission's possible danger or level of importance.{Mission Ranks}D-rank - These missions usually consist of odd jobs that pose no risk to the ninja's life. They are almost always given new initiates to develop their teamwork and leadership skills.
The reward for a D-rank mission is 10 EXP and 500 Ryo.
C-rank - These are missions with little to no chance of combat against other ninja, and are usually assigned to more experienced initiates. Some examples would be: patrolling and crime prevention, emergency response, law enforcement, and investigation.
The reward for a C-rank mission is 20 EXP and 1,000 Ryo.
B-rank - These missions anticipate combat with other ninja or skilled parties and are mostly reserved for (or require the presence of) higher ranking servicemen.
They often involve covert operations and may include sabotage, skirmishing, intelligence gathering, and close personal protection (being a bodyguard).
The reward for a B-rank mission is 80 EXP and 3,000 Ryo.
A-rank - These missions involve village-or state-level affairs and are only assigned to highly trained personnel. These are special operations like VIP protection, hostage rescue, offensive action, and homeland defense.
The reward for a A-rank mission is 160 EXP and 5,000 Ryo.
S-rank - These missions concern state-level confidential matters and are exclusively assigned to elite level operatives. These are black operations where the lives of those fulfilling the task are less important than achieving the goal, and secrecy is of the utmost importance.
Transporting highly-classified materials, assassinating key figures, and anything that would destabilize the overall political landscape fall into this category.
The reward for a S-rank mission is 240 EXP and 10,000 Ryo.◀ Rewards
Whenever a player character completes a mission, they're rewarded with EXP, Ryo, TP, or any combination of these depending on the mission's rank. Furthermore, if a character finishes a mission having completed their objective, they can gain bonuses to their rewards based on the mission's rank.
The mission is then added to their "Character Log" by rank and as Completed.{Mission Failure}If a character fails to accomplish their mission’s objective, they only gain TP for their effort. They won't gain any EXP or Ryo, or the bonuses that come with successfully completing a mission.
The mission is added to their "Character Log" by rank and as Failed.◀ Events
Special events can have a profound impact on the lives of shinobi and can change their beliefs, allegiances, and even their entire existence. These events test the participants' core being and play a pivotal role in shaping the story of the site.
Special events are categorized by Chapters, which contain key occurrences that have impacted the world we're building.
Like missions, they are ranked by difficulty, but to join, specific in-character requirements must be met instead of simply signing up.- Site sponsored events occur during each Chapter, and will be posted within each main Chapter thread as they become available.
- Site sponsored events often yield rare and boosted rewards!
At the end of each chapter, a summary of events will be posted, detailing key contributions from player characters that are "canonized" and chronicled as official history.
