The Akimichi Clan are a unique family of shinobi whose clan techniques involve converting calories into chakra. Akimichi clansmen in general possess above average physical strength and are able to use their chakra to alter the proportions of their bodies.

Most of these techniques rapidly consume the user's chakra during use, and maintaining them during a prolonged battle can be tiring. For this reason, Akimichi clan members can consume upwards to thousands of calories a day in order to build up or replenish their chakra stores.

In Konohagakure, the Akimichi have a storied alliance with the Nara and Yamanaka clans.

Calorie Control is a technique used by the Akimichi clan to convert stored calories into chakra, enabling them to expand their body for their unique fighting style. Less experienced members use Three Colored Pills, but with practice, they can regulate the conversion without the pills. This technique must be active to use any clan techniques.

Sanshoku no Gan'yaku (Three Colored Pills)

Rank: S
Type: Consumable, Akimichi Clan Item
Special: A single set is available to all Akimichi clan members at character creation. Using any of the Colored Pills grants its effect for the duration of the thread, but the Akimichi can no longer deactivate Calorie Control. The effects of each pill do stack, including the chakra costs of Calorie Control.

The Three Colored Pills are secret medicines used by the Akimichi clan. Each pill (green, yellow, and red) provides a power boost by converting the body's fat reserves into chakra. However, the pills have drawbacks as they poison the body and burn calories at a rate that can lead to dangerous emaciation, or even death.

• Spinach Pill (ホウレン丸, Hōrengan)


Raises the Akimichi's Calorie Control technique to B-Rank. Grants +1 Edge to all tests of Strength and 1+ Minor damage resistance to all physical attacks.


• Curry Pill (カレー丸, Karēgan)


Raises the Akimichi's Calorie Control technique to A-Rank. Grants half bonus damage to all Akimichi hijutsu and offensive Taijutsu.


• Chilli Pill (トンガラシ丸, Tongarashigan)


Activates Chō Mōdo (Butterfly Mode). Grants the benefits of both the Spinach and Curry pill, simultaneously.

The excess fat on the Akimichi's body functions almost like an external battery, providing them extra chakra to fuel their jutsu.

Each rank of this trait grants +50 Chakra to the Akimichi to fuel their clan techniques. This chakra can be used for any other techniques the Akimichi knows, but converting the excess body weight in this way is crude and costly.

Note: Each time you take this trait, the ninja grade requirement increases by 1. When using this chakra, if a technique is not an Akimichi Clan jutsu, it's chakra cost is treated as one rank higher than normal.

Bubun Baika no Jutsu (Partial Multi-Size Technique)

Bubun Baika no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu utilized by the Akimichi clan, and is the second technique of the multi-size series. At will, the user is able to expand at least 1 part of their body by double their original size (both height and weight). The arms and legs are usually chosen for this technique.

Note: This technique can be used on a maximum of two appendages for double the activation cost, while the sustaining cost remains the same.


Baika no Jutsu (Multi-Size Technique)

Baika no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu utilized by the Akimichi clan, and is the first technique of the multi-size series. After performing the necessary hand seals, the user is able to expand their entire body by triple their original size (both height and weight), allowing them to effectively turn themselves into a giant.

Note: The Akimichi's clothes and melee weaponry will change to accommodate their new form.


Chō Baika no Jutsu (Super Multi-Size Technique)

Chō Baika no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu utilized by the Akimichi clan, and is the third technique of the multi-size series. After performing the necessary hand seals, the user is able to expand their entire body by quadruple their original size (both height and weight), allowing them to effectively turn themselves into a giant.

Chō Mōdo (Butterfly Mode)

The Butterfly Mode is the peak heightened transformation of the Akimichi clan. The clan member can enter this mode by converting the calories of their body into chakra. The chakra, when visible, is shaped into two large butterfly wings that can be compressed into smaller wings.

In practice, this technique allows the Akimichi clan member to generate an enormous amount of chakra that enhances their combat ability.

While Butterfly Mode is active, the Akimichi can stack the damage of their offensive taijutsu and hijutsu by paying the cost of the technique repeatedly.

Note: If the user enters Butterfly Mode by using the Chili Pill, they have no way of deactivating Butter Fly Mode and will burn through their chakra, rendering them unconscious.

Special: This technique does not require handseals.

After growing in size with the Multi-Size Technique, the Akimichi tucks themselves into a ball and rolls towards a target. Due to their increased weight and the force of their rotation, most obstacles are pulverized upon contact. Users can take advantage of the surrounding environment to launch themselves into the air, increasing the damage when they fall back to the ground. The speed at which they spin has the added benefit of rendering most attacks ineffective against them.

Note: The speed necessary to make Human Bullet Tank effective also makes it difficult to turn, forcing users to stop spinning entirely if they want to make significant changes in direction and thus leaving them vulnerable while they do so.

Nikudan Hari Sensha (Spiked Human Bullet Tank) - If the user has kunai or other bladed weaponry in their inventory, they can spend 1 Inventory Point to add +1 Minor bonus damage to this technique.

Chōharite (Super Open Hand Slap)

Special: This technique does not require handseals.

After using any of the Multi-Size Techniques to increase their size, the user funnels chakra into their hands, which causes special markings to appear on them. The weight and power of the hands are greatly increased because of the larger size, the muscles are activated with concentrated chakra, and the thickness is also increased. With so much chakra that it becomes visible, the user's palms become like an iron hammer. This gives this attack the power to even cave in the earth, causing extensive crushing damage to anything that may be caught beneath them. Due to the increased size of their palms, the attack covers a wide range.

Note: Regardless if it hits or not, all characters, excluding the original target, within Close range of the original target, will take Minor damage from this attack, unless they block or dodge.


Mizudan Suisha (Ballistic Waterwheel)

Special: This technique does not require handseals.

After using the Multi-Size Technique, the user swallows a great amount of water to make themselves into a human-sized ball. If Human Bullet Tank is used after this technique, the added water weight will double it's damage potential.

Note: This jutsu can be used to nullify Suiton jutsu it's rank or lower. This does not negate any added properties those jutsu may possess. Due to the extra weight, Human Bullet Tank can only travel in a straight line when used in conjunction with Ballistic Waterwheel.


Kara no Dōn (Empty Crash)

Cost: Multi-Cost

By utilizing the Partial Multi-Size Technique, the user smashes the ground with their enlarged fist, hurling large chunks of debris into the air and at their targets.

Note: Each piece of debris has the potential to do +1 Minor damage to the target. The user determines how many are worth acknowledging as threatening, but cannot alter their path once it has been chose.


Chōdan Bakugek (Butterfly Bullet Bombing)

When an Akimichi enters Butterfly Mode, fat in their body is forcibly converted into densely concentrated chakra. As the chakra leaks from their backbone, it becomes visible through friction with the shoulder blade, taking the appearance of butterfly wings.

The Akimichi can focus the chakra from the wings into one of their limbs to deliver a single devastating attack, capable of fracturing the earth, and destroying most defenses.

Note: This attack forcibly converts all of your remaining calories into chakra. Character behind the target, within Close range, must evade or take half the damage dealt, while being knocked out of Close range. After the conclusion of this jutsu, Butterfly Mode ends immediately.
