As your character accumulates Experience (EXP), their Ninja Grade will automatically increase.
A character’s Ninja Grade will increase each time their cumulative EXP total reaches a specified amount, granting them bonus trait points and chakra.
Cumulative EXP Ninja Grade Bonuses 100 D No Bonuses 200 C +4 TP, +100 Chakra 400 B +6 TP, +200 Chakra 800 A +8 TP, +80 Chakra 1600 S +10 TP, +160 Chakra ◀ Ninja RanksA character's Rank is determined by their home base, usually a Hidden Village.
The lowest rank, known as Genin or equivalent, is for fledgling characters. The next rank, Chuunin or equivalent, is for characters of middling standing who are trusted with relatively major tasks.
When a character reaches the penultimate rank, Jounin or equivalent, they are respected veterans not only among other characters but also by the common people.
The highest rank, Kage or equivalent, is rare and only achieved by a few legendary figures who have accomplished great things and possess immense power.◀ PromotionTo be promoted, a Hidden Village must determine that a character has the necessary abilities, achievements, and stature for a higher rank.
The minimum requirements for promotion include a high enough ninja grade, mission count, and completion count for the specific rank. Only then will a character be allowed to take a promotion exam.
The required ninja grades and completion counts can be found in the following chart:
Rank/Equivalent Ninja Grade Completion Count Chuunin C 7 Jounin B 14 Kage A 21 {Addendum}A character’s abilities are measured by their ninja grade and their level of contribution to their Hidden Village (or home base), and their achievements are evaluated by the number of missions they’ve completed. However, meeting these conditions grants the character no more than the qualification to be promoted.
Hidden Villages and other home bases search for people with the appropriate conduct and character for higher ranks. Because of that, those who perform acts that are undesirable or those who act contrary to their overall agendas may be overlooked for promotions.
