Yamcha trotted down the snowy road. Lucky for him this road bore no ice, as the high altitude could be risky to take a tumble from. It was a chilly day like this that he felt glad to wear such a warm, comfortable jacket that was draped over a puffy white shirt and baggy blue pants. He had no trouble forcing his feet through the five inch high snow, his rain boots pushing back all the water. He took the blue cap upon his head, trying to stretch it as if he wanted it bigger to cover his head.

He felt unsafe out here, despite the Broadsword[4 ft. long] on his back and the 25 shuriken in his pack on his waist. Why did he feel so untrustworthy of this country? It's not like he couldn't defend himself, but he had no one he could really trust. Maybe he just wouldn't accept this was his natural feeling...

I stopped to take a look back as the boat drifted off to sea just as sayuri had done but my glance would only be for a couple of seconds as I re-assured the feeling of cold at the bottom of my feet and at the edges of my back and chest. I needed some clothing and fast. I thought once or twice about killing someone… but hopefully it didn’t really have to come to that.

I pressed forward lightly without a doubt in my mind that I would meet someone new. Since yesterday where I’d suffered the amnesia-tic blow I had met a total of two people who were more kind than anyone ever. I felt as if my luck were going to change in this place. It was too cold and scary for it not to be a place of criminal intent. I too found myself thinking of things to do in order to get food and money… it all resulted within the same thought. To kill. Sayuri might not have approved of my thoughts but she would be victim to the portrayal. My actions displayed far more than my words. People tell me all the time ‘you don’t seem like the type of person to…’ I cut them off usually because the end of the sentence is what really gets me down.

My strides took me to a mining field. Coal rocks litter the ground as I stepped upon their cold surface. I saw another figure in the distance. He seemed to be holding a large sword upon his shoulder. I wonder how much that’s worth.. I said to myself before taking a few more steps towards his figure. His back was turned so he wouldn’t notice me. Danzo sat within my right hand twirling around ready to just end his life right there…. But I decided not to. I needed to judge him from his own personal character even if I’d contemplated killing him. I would not go through with that thought until he proved himself unworthy of my presence. I stepped to his side and then walked a few more steps until stopping to turn around at him. My sword was within my right so it may have looked like I was going to come up and end his life… but I just wanted some conversation for now.

“Hello there. I see you have your sword on your shoulder there… mind telling me how much that thing there costs..?” My words were like flames – those who heard them usually backed off. This guy seemed different though… he seemed unaware of his surroundings almost… as if he didn’t belong in this place. Maybe he were a nuke ninja as well… he could surely tell that I was by the shimmering light flowing from my head band which had a strike through it. I awaited his response tapping my bare foot along the coal to signify my impatience.

Yamcha mind continued to wander, trying to make sense of this land. It seemed practically abandoned of life. He was running short on money, and he may get hungry soon, which made him ponder how he would mug somebody in a country with no one. He kicked back into reality with the sounds of footsteps behind him. The sound of coal being trampled and irritated with another set of feet hitting the ground. Yamcha at first, remained calm, not expecting anything from what was most likely another pedestrian.

The sound of him picking up the speed of his movement is what sent Jens into alarm. He began to weave seals, though found himself outmatched in speed as the stranger hopped in front of his field of vision. This shocked the boy, instinctively leaping backwards to put space between him and the person who held his blade in a threatening position, now 150 cm away from him. His hand began edging towards the hilt of his own sword.

This mysterious man that approached him looked like he had been through hell and back, at least that was Yamcha's first thought. The scars that were visible on his body made him wonder what he had experienced, and why he lacked decent clothing. Especially in a climate as such. The only other thing that stood out was the head band that had a scratch mark through a shinobi village emblem, one he was not familiar with. All of this though, simply added a sense of intimidation to this man. This made the fellow nuke-nin see him as a potential threat, and a definite challenge if he ensued in combat.

He couldn't just pick a fight to get this guy's money. No, that'd be foolish. Though the words he spoke made him uncomfortable. In no way could that be a simple greeting line. He responded to the man, "I see no reason why you need to know the worth of my blade, unless you intended on selling it? And if that's the case, well, I won't be allowing that any time soon." Saying that, he drew his sword, a small glint of the sun shone off the blade as the tip of the 4 foot blade pointed upwards, at the same level as the man's height, 50cm away.

[/color] I cooed forth without a doubt in my mind that I was going to have a hard time with this guy. My fingers ached for battle but my stomach craved even more for food.

My thoughts on this person was that he too must have come here in search for…something? That meant we were alike in a minimal way. Within the back of my conscious I pondered upon one thing… food. I really needed something to eat but I wasn’t going to ask this asshole for any money… and I was too weak to kill him either way. I sighed forth a good long sigh. I hoped that man was going to sell his sword and give me a bowl of ramen but that thought just seemed too impossible right now. Maybe I’d come on a little too strong. I sniffed my arm pits just for a second to make sure it wasn’t my body odor. My nose scrunched up after figuring out it was in fact, my body odor.

“well listen. you’re cool peoples. i can tell from the way you responded to me. but the thing is, im fucking hungry… and I haven’t seen a goddamn ramen bar around here that doesn’t charge a good 1500 ryo. I’m 500 short. Care to spare me some change..?” I asked him whole heartedly as I attached danzo back to my hip in an un-lethal position. Since Sayuri had disappeared I had no one else to chill with. Maybe this guy could provide me some company… because I knew just like any other member of kusa no kuni that it was impossible to live in this world without a team. I just needed to figure out what this guys motives were before asking him to join me. My eyes analytically scattered upon his figure as I held one hand on my hilt and the other on my chin.

I awaited his response with an excited look upon my sunburned face. My silver hues never left where his weapon rested because I’d learned that no one in this world could be trusted. Not even my own damn self.

It wasn't more than a few seconds into the man's reply that Yamcha realized he created offense. He wasn't much of a talkative person so he couldn't help not knowing how to respond. He felt a little bad for going to such strong assumptions now, but he didn't let it get to him. What threw him off was the man's following up by sniffing himself like some sort of animal. The teen didn't bother to question this, but he raised an eyebrow in confusion.

The man changed his stance to show more humility. This caused the nuke-nin's muscles to become less tense, thinking perhaps he wouldn't get in a fight with this man. Though he was sent mentally askew by his compliment of Yamcha being a 'cool' person, and then requested for money. He began to put his sword away to where it originally was, he stammered a little trying to think of a reply. "Huh, oh well... Uh..." He began to think, Don't freak out, this might be a chance to finally have a friend! But I sure as hell won't give him money... Wait, I'm a thief, getting money is easy! Thinking this up in a matter of seconds, he shook his head a little to snap out of his daydreaming face. He gave a tiny, enticed grin to show the interest in his own response.

"Well I'm not one to loan out money, especially with my own low funds. But if you're up for it I'd be more than happy to split the share if you help me take another guy down!" He spoke with confidence, trying to sound like some sort of pro at crime. Friendship and alliances might not be his forte, but if it's a partner in crime it's an opportunity he might be more comfortable with.

I wondered into the snowy opening foolishly. I was unaware of the two men standing fife yards away from me. the snow blocked my vision as it did their voices. I was stupid and an inadequate ninja of Sunagakure for not noticing the two men. One with fiery red hair, the other with brown locks that draped his small frame.

I turned in their direction and eyed them both. Who were they or were they shinobi at all didn't come to mind. Only that if I wanted to survive, I would need t make my stand here. The wind picked up and the young, Sui Momban was chilled to the bone. He wasn't used to this insane weather. He looked down at his watch, it read 7:38 - lets see how long this adventure will last.

[/i] Poor sap.. if he hadn’t come at this time I wouldn’t have really had much choice by to pass by him but now the circumstances were a bit different. I had someone to help me if I were to fail. My figure would vanish [shunpo 1/15] from sight seeing the man only but a good ten meters away.

At that time he’d have been looking down at his watch. My speed, unmatched, transgressed my figure to the boys silhouette, left of his own figure. As his head tilted down to check the time my wrists would flick with cohesive speeds aimed towards the boys neck. All I’d needed were that second in time for him to check his time and his body would have become a lifeless vessel stammering beneath the whim of my feet. Hopefully he hadn’t prepared something beforehand or else I might have had to take another route into apprehending the boy. But just in case I had… my other hand would create a blur within my second flicker [shunpo 2/15] as I’d attempted to kill him.

It didn't even take any words for the scene to go into effect. A man had appeared, and by the other man's body language it was obvious he was interested in the offer. Yamcha eyed the man who was in range of his magnetism ability. He gave a small nod to the companion in this attack, beginning to weave hand seals. Unfortunately by the time he could even get ready to attack, the other man had stolen his kill.

Giving off a disappointed smirk, Yamcha watched him stroll back so high and mighty from taking the kill by himself. He caught the wallet in mid-air, counting the cash before slipping it into his own, and into the safety of his pocket. "Way to take the fun..." He said in a casual but friendly as the man approached.

Looking back to the dead man, then to him, he wondered what this would lead to. He never made a real kill for money before. It felt... Kinda good. Perhaps this was a new opportunity to have a friend, something he lacked in his life. At least a little bit of safety to as venturing out alone as a nuke-nin was a danger. He started to drift off in daydreams before casually looking back to the man. "Well, how about we find somewhere to eat then? Know a good spot?"

If this was a partner in crime deal, friendship, or nakama-ship, whatever, Yamcha felt happy to be apart of it. He looked to the man, simply uttering, "I'm Yamcha, by the way." Just to get a break the ice.
