Water-Shedding Sword
Rank: A
Type: Primary / Melee
History: A treasure with origins from Amegakure, the Water-Shedding sword was said to have belonged to a warrior-princess named Drizzle, who hailed from a family of courageous and legendary Samurai. The legend is centuries old, and there are many variations of it, but it is said that Drizzle was buried with the blade upon her death, only to have her grave defiled and dug up to have the weapon stolen. The ninja of Amegakure were the Samurai's number one suspects, considering the blade had been forged on their lands and they felt entitled to the weapon as an artifact of their own, but with the dawn of the First Shinobi War approaching, nothing was ever done. For ages, the Water-Shedding sword remained hidden in the annals of time. Rumors persisted of warriors who used it in battle from time to time, but those instances were far and in between. Little did anyone know that it was being passed down through a royal lineage of Amegakuran ninja- and ultimately, to the heiress Charlette Burabiya.
Little is known about the tragedy that befell Charlette and her husband Atlas- including the child they bore- but after the Great War, Charlette and her blade could no longer be found. It is here where the mystery of the Water-Shedding sword ends. Some say it can be found in the rubble of the her family's mansion, on the border of Amegakure. Others say her husband carries it, or some random wanderer who happened across it after the Great Flash. But what is known is that the Samurai are currently searching for it feverishly- to reclaim a weapon they believe belongs to them in the first place. And it is said they are willing to cut down any ninja or warrior in their way who tries to reclaim their precious piece of history for their own gain.
Description: The blade is best known for its wondrous ability to bend and attack at strange angles, an ability that is executed with a simple flick of the wrist and a boost of low-level chakra through the hands. It was rumored to have been forged during a particularly stormy night in Amegakure, when a "bad moon" had risen and changed the quality of the water that befell the land. Forged, cooled and infused with this mystical rain water, the sword had come out a sterling silver- with the ability to take in the user's chakra and amplify its special properties to bend. It resonates with the hollow sound of a raindrop plopping into still water whenever it makes rough contact with anything- i.e, blocking, parrying etc. Though the blade bends, it becomes quite sturdy without the chakra behind it. A versatile and deadly treasure indeed.
Cost: 30,000 Ryo

WATER-SHEDDING SWORD TECHNIQUES
_________________________________________
Kirisame no Dansu (Drizzle's Dance)
Rank: D, C, B
Type: Secret Technique / Taijutsu / Water-Shedding Sword
Range: 0 - 5 meters
Chakra: Mid
Stamina: Low / Mid
Special: The user now has the skill to counter basic melee weapon or taijutsu techniques of equal rank or lower, in conjunction with moves- defensive and offensive- found in the appropriate sword styles. The counter involves bending the blade to weave around a block or parry, striking at the closest limb with a single speedy stab. Bending the blade requires a burst of raw chakra equivalent to 'Mid', the capability to flick one's wrist, and momentum. The blade cannot bend when it is stationary and not in action.
Description: After prolonged training with the blade, the user is capable of properly controlling its power to bend and utilizing it to their own advantage. This style of fighting is typically combined beside the Kenjutsu arts, paired with their techniques to weave around blocks, issue counters and strike opponents when they least expect it. It is said to resemble dancing when performed, and is therefore called "Drizzle's Dance" in homage to its creator. It can be used several times in quick succession, depending on the rank of the attacks one is barraged with, but the cost of chakra each bend requires can lead to exhaustion if used repeatedly. Moderation of use is advised.
Domain: Water-Shedding Sword.
41 strokes: Water-Shedding Sword Maneuver
Rank: B
Type: Offensive / Taijutsu / Water-Shedding Sword
Range: 0 - 5 meters
Chakra: High
Stamina: High / Very High
Special: Can be used once per thread, plus one each time retrained. Takes up an entire turn, in which the user will enter a concentrated trance. All blocking, counters and attacks deflect melee weapon, projectile, or taijutsu techniques of equal rank or lower. When started, it can only move towards the designated target until the final stroke is issued. Therefore, the user's back and sides are vulnerable during the technique. In the presence of rain, stamina cost is raised to 'Very High' with the twofold number of strokes issued. The 'High' cost of chakra only applies once here, as it is an ongoing attack and combo utilizing the full potential of the sword's abilities.
Description:"It showers the victims with a barrage of slashes, so they look like they have been cut by drizzling rain." -- Zuchong Bai, Blacksmith
Engulfed in the spirit of the Water-Shedding sword, the user delves into a wild and dangerous dance, lunging at their enemy with a preliminary stab forward with the blade. After the stab is issued, whether it is blocked or not, the user will then carry out a devastating and lightning fast array of attacks, effectively blocking any attempts at counters and attacking from every angle possible with their constantly bending blade. Their attacks are near unpredictable, but not entirely unavoidable. The trance they've entered lasts for a while, until they've hit their final 41th stroke. In the presence of rain, the speed of the attacks, and the number of strokes, is doubled to a speedy 82!

Serpent's Bite: Coiled Steel Maneuver
Rank: B
Type: Offensive / Taijutsu / Water-Shedding Sword
Range: 0 - 5 meters
Chakra: Mid
Stamina: Mid
Special: Takes up the necessary chakra cost of 'Mid', on top of the stamina cost, to activate the blade's bending ability.
Description: A parlous and often unexpected technique, the Serpent's Bite proves to be something like a double-edged blade in the array of Water-Shedding Sword techniques. When the opponent stabs forward with their melee weapon- be it a sword, spear or any range of arms used in the same manner- the user will allow the strike to pierce the region it was intended to pierce, assuming they have a death wish or have prepared accordingly with armor. But their willingness to let the attack hit does not come free. In response to the opponent's stab, the user will stab the Water-Shedding Sword parallel to the opposing weapon, enhancing it in a flash to bend and twirl around said weapon at an alarming speed, ultimately restricting any further movement from the weapon before striking their opponent's hand. The strike will debilitate the hand that was holding the opposing weapon, causing the enemy to be disarmed- assuming they did not have some form of shielding on the surface of their hands.

Rain's Backlash: Drizzle's Surprise Maneuver
Rank: B
Type: Offensive / Taijutsu / Water-Shedding Sword
Range: 0 - 5 meters
Chakra: Mid
Stamina: Mid
Special: Takes up the necessary chakra cost of 'Mid', on top of the stamina cost, to activate the blade's bending ability. Speed is slightly decreased if there is in fact an enemy to slash in front of the user.
Description: One of Drizzle's most notorious moves, and debated to be the most deadly in her arsenal, "Rain's Backlash" utilizes the element of surprise to its lethal advantage. After positioning themselves behind their opponent in some manner, the user will abruptly swing their blade horizontally, slashing anyone and anything that might be in front of them, before pumping their chakra into the sword and activating the ability within. The result? The blade finishes traveling horizontally, only to whip backwards and land a deadly stab to the chest of any poor fool behind the user. The move is as quick as it is fatal, and doubles in speed in the presence of rain.
