[/color] Kaori said as she rushed down the road, moving as fast as she could. Even though she was strong, the sword on her back still weighed her down, so it was harder to move as fast as a normal shinobi. So she had woken up a little bit late, did that really mean that Spade and Ryusuke could just leave with out her? No! 'Douchebags! I am ripping them a new one when I see them' she thought angrily. She didn't know exactly how far ahead of her they were, as she had been about half an hour late and she moved slower than they did, so she probably wouldn't be able to catch up until they reached Tetsu no Kuni, the Land of Iron. The squad had planned to go to get in on some action, as they had not participated in the chuunin exams, not believing that they were ready. Plus the traveling experience would be great too, right?
"THEY ARE SO DEAD!"
After travelling all day and still not having caught up to the two numskulls, Kaori was tired. Her sword was beginning to feel even heavier to her, so she decided it was time to set up camp. She picked a secluded clearing near the edge of the road, covered by a few thick trees, their trunks as wide as an elephant, and also covered by a bit of underbrush. She set up her little tent and made a very small fire, only using it to cook some of the meat she had brought along with her and then putting it directly out. She kept her sword lying next to her as she crawled into her tent, just in case anyone was planning on attacking her, and soon she drifted off into a peaceful sleep, the moon shining brightly in the dark hues of the night sky. She had planned to get an early start the next morning in an attempt to catch up with the two boys, who were probably far ahead of her, even though they had traveled pretty much almost all the way into Tetsu, having left so early in the morning.
When she woke up in the morning the rays of sunlight just barely twinkled over the horizon, so she thought it was early enough to get started. She put a warm parka on over her clothes, as within the next few miles the terrain would become cold and snowy. Packing up her things she took off. She found site of the boys camp a few miles ahead, though the two were already gone and she cursed herself, but continued her journey. Soon the terrain began to become snowy and mountainous and a bit harder for her to travel, though she was making great time nonetheless. Eventually she saw the bridge ahead of her and sighed in relief, feeling as if her fingers were about to fall off. She hurried across, sprinting quickly across it. At the first hotel she walked into[the only one, as a matter-o-fact] she saw the two boys and glared at them. Well, at least she was in Tetsu now!
