Slate believes in being a minimalist in certain facets of life. Less is more. When hunting and confronting, let the enemy be weighed down and restricted so the hunter can move freely, swiftly and precisely. In accordance with this ideal, Slate confines his body with a simple pair of pants of light material. Black, breathable, tight enough to prevent flow or getting caught, loose enough not to restrict movement. Guarding his torso is nothing but the simple fishnet shirt most shin obi wear underneath their clothing. Choosing not to leave his feet uncovered, he forgoes the simple boots most ninja wear, instead wearing lightweight boots, still affording flexibility while covering everything up. - Body Appearance:
The predator may look small and lean, but the strength and power hiding underneath his appearance are not to be trifled with. His body is light, his muscles are more than adequate for his height and weight and his looks are nothing of particular note. Dark brownish hair tinged with auburn lay shortly cropped around his head, his eyes coal-like and spotted with shades of earth. His skin is like light gold, soft and slightly yellow, though more brown than anything. His nose and mouth show a bit of ethnic ancestry. Lips full and marked with contours, nose at a perfect decline and slightly bigger than most. Slate is a simple man and his looks reflect it. Minimalism is key. Its cruel to his personal life to look so plain, but for the life of a predator, looks get you noticed. - Blemishes & Scars:
Slate has few scars and even less blemishes. The small number of scars are chalked up to failures and what big failures they are. His back is lined with three wide marks from a slash, thanks to a beast he once fought with the idea of conquering it. On his chest is deep, fleshy looking scar in the center of his sternum, looking almost like a star where a bear had tried ripping him open. On his left oblique are the marks of a shark’s mouth that had tried taking a piece of Slate with it as he scrapped with the sea monster. He counts all these as failures for the fact that he was touched at all, though he does reflect proudly when taking stock of the trophies he now holds.
COGNITION[/u]
- Personality:
Personality is not a subject in which Slate can relate much. If he were in a room full of his people, instead of talking about their favorite hunting methods, tools or best kills, they’d try to slaughter each other. His “clan”, if it can be called such a thing, is nothing more than a group of predatory men and women who live for nothing more than “the hunt”, killing for sport, fame and glory. With this being the case, things like individuality, personal needs or interests are often ignored and undeveloped. So when it comes to personality, the only thing Slate can speak for is his preference of weapons, methods and his next big kill. His only saving grace as being an interesting person outside of hunting is his accomplished banter with his partner, being forced to develop only the most basics of a companionship. His quick wit and sharp tongue are equally as lethal as any of his weapons, demonstrating this skill when he verbally assaulted a goat and striking it dead with a rather vicious insult. - Alignment: Opportunistic
